Reborn As Super Heiress

Cai Limin introduced that the man was called Badasang, a first-class general granted by the Myanmar government and a member of the Bada family, one of the five major families.

Because Huo Sining was representing Qin Lianshan and the entire Jade Association on this trip to Yangon, even though she looked young, the Myanmar side still gave her enough attention by sending General Badasang, who holds real power within the army, to Wacheng to receive her.

”General Badasang, you are too polite.”

Huo Sining looked at the general and felt a bit apprehensive, but she couldn’t lose the dignity of her country, so she maintained a calm appearance on the surface.

This steady and calm demeanor of Huo Sining surprised Badasang a bit.

His appearance was quite fierce. Even his subordinates all showed signs of awe when facing him, not to mention other ordinary people who would tremble with fear at the sight of him. Although this Miss Huo was a young woman, her courage and composure were truly admirable.

Badasang had a very good first impression of Huo Sining, so he was very courteous to her all the way, and his manners were extremely considerate.

About half an hour from the airport, Huo Sining and her group arrived at the headquarters of the Bada family.

In Myanmar, every major family would choose a town to set up their headquarters. There, they had their own walls and patrolling soldiers, much like an old Huaxia Country fortress, indicating how poor the social security in Myanmar was.

The Bada family’s headquarters was set in a small town. Inside the walls, aside from the residences of the Bada family, there were many ordinary houses and streets lined with various shops and entertainment facilities.

This surprised Huo Sining and her group greatly. Su Qingqing couldn’t help but mutter, ”Could it be that Myanmar’s families are so large that they need a small town to accommodate them?”

With this question in mind, Su Qingqing asked Badasang beside her.

Badasang was thoroughly amused by Su Qingqing’s question, and under his explanation, the group finally understood the reason behind it.

The direct members of the Bada family themselves were less than a thousand, but in this town, many ordinary people needed to rely on the Bada family to survive. These people could receive the Bada family’s protection in this town, which provided them with a stable life. Similarly, to ensure their families could live happily and stably in this town, their children had to work for the Bada family.

After lunch, Badasang personally took Huo Sining and the group to a hotel. The exterior of the hotel looked as shabby as a guesthouse, but the interior facilities and décor could rival a five-star hotel, and the service here was much more considerate than those five-star hotels back home. Guests staying here could request anything at any time, and as long as it was reasonable, they would do it.

After resting for a few hours, just as Huo Sining got up, washed, and tidied up, Badasang, who had received the news from the servants, came over with a smile and asked Huo Sining, ”Miss Huo, how did you rest?”

During the few hours that Huo Sining rested, Badasang had someone conduct an investigation on this president of the Huaxia Country Jade Association because Badasang was very interested in Miss Huo.

His subordinates were very efficient, and in less than an hour, they had delivered the investigation report to Badasang’s hands.

Seeing the achievements that Huo Sining had made over the past year, Badasang became even more interested in her.

Badasang thought that the rapid rise of this woman named Huo Sining was definitely not by chance. Behind her seemingly legendary background, there were certainly some unknown elements.

Huo Sining had no idea what Badasang was thinking, nor did she expect that just their first meeting would make this Myanmar General suspicious and inquisitive about her. After having a good rest at the hotel, she felt much refreshed, and with Gu Xu, Ouyang Jun, and others accompanying her, she knew she should be safe in Myanmar this time, so she relaxed. When she relaxed, she wanted to go out for a walk.

”General Badasang, I’ve heard that the largest jadeite trading market in Wacheng is not far from here. Would you be able to take me to see it?”

After resting for the afternoon, the fatigue from the flight had disappeared, and Huo Sining developed a significant curiosity about this foreign city, especially in the most famous trading market in Wacheng, where nearly half of the population is involved in the jadeite and gemstone industry. She was eager to explore it.

”Of course, no problem. I came here to invite Miss Song to visit the jadeite trading market.”

Badasang said to Huo Sining with a smile and turned to give instructions to a soldier behind him.

The soldier quickly ran out, and before long, he returned driving a Hummer, followed by two regular trucks.

On these two trucks were over a dozen armed soldiers. Needless to say, these soldiers were part of the Bada family’s private armed forces.

Huo Sining was a distinguished guest, and her safety in Myanmar was fully entrusted to Badasang. Here in the city, it was relatively stable, but if they went into the mountains, sending just a few people would be entirely ineffective. Badasang didn’t want any mishaps to occur on his turf.

Huo Sining and her group naturally rode in the Hummer. Although this Hummer was an extended, widened model, it was quite cramped with six adults, a child, and a driver sitting inside. Fortunately, Huo Sining and her companions were not particularly delicate guests, and in a place like Myanmar, conditions were not so demanding. They squeezed in, and it was just barely adequate.

Badasang drove a standard jeep leading the way in front. Such cars were quite common in the domestic market of the seventies and eighties, but they were now rarely seen at home, although they were very common in Myanmar. After leaving the city area of Bada, the streets became bumpy, and the houses on both sides grew increasingly dilapidated, reminding Huo Sining of her childhood in Nan Town, which was similarly rundown.

The car drove for a short while and stopped at a spacious place. Many cars, mostly jeeps and horse-drawn carriages, were parked here, with only a few modern vehicles.

After getting out of the car, Su Qingqing and Huo Sining couldn’t help but furrow their brows.

The environment here was terrible, and the air was suffused with a strange, pungent smell.

Huo Sining looked around in surprise. Although she already knew the living conditions in Myanmar were poor, seeing such filth and disarray akin to a livestock market still made her frown.
