Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1001: Chapter 997: Entering the Guild

The security measures regarding museums by the Dongyang people are actually quite thorough. To enter the museum, you need to pass a security check, and when leaving the museum, you have to undergo a security check again.

This is information Huo Sining learned from Yu Fei, and it was a loophole she hadn’t considered before.

The Dongyang Museum has numerous visitors every day, and everyone entering needs to queue for the security gate. Under such circumstances, it is virtually impossible for her to invisibly enter the museum.

Once she enters the museum physically, she is fully within the monitoring range of the Dongdu National Museum. If anything happens at the museum, pulling up the surveillance footage would reveal everything clearly.

However, after Huo Sining raised this concern, Yu Fei couldn’t help but laugh. In his view, it was the simplest of matters; he had already managed to access the National Museum’s server, gaining top administrator privileges. Modifying a few surveillance videos was a trivial task, taking less than a minute.

In her interactions with Yu Fei during this period, Huo Sining also learned about his temperament. Yu Fei was skilled and daring, but he didn’t exaggerate. If he couldn’t do something, he wouldn’t make grand promises.

Thus, Huo Sining trusted him and directly bought a ticket to enter the main hall of the museum.

The moment Huo Sining entered the main hall, Yu Fei, who was hiding in the Dongdu National Museum server, acted swiftly and replaced the surveillance footage of Huo Sining entering the museum with another video. The entire process was smooth and swift, without any hesitation.

In the National Museum’s surveillance room, two employees were seated. One was engrossed in playing on his phone, and the other was yawning. During the opening time, the museum was usually busy, and today was no different. Hence, these two didn’t pay much attention, occasionally glancing at the monitors.

While they were distracted, a video was quietly swapped out. The employee playing on his phone glanced up coincidentally, noticing a momentary flicker on one of the screens, which soon returned to normal.

The employee found it odd but didn’t associate the anomaly with a hacker attack, merely assuming there was an issue with the monitor’s connection. After contemplating briefly, he dismissed the thought and went back to his phone.

Huo Sining smoothly entered the museum and took a stroll around.

Based on the action map provided by Yu Fei, she walked mostly through surveillance blind spots after entering the museum.

After a thorough walk-through, Huo Sining had a rough understanding of the museum’s overall layout and arrangement, then she quickly moved into the restroom.

Huo Sining planned to act after the museum closed when it was deserted, but unexpectedly, upon invisibly emerging from the restroom, she saw two familiar faces inside the museum.

Yes, those familiar faces were Hattori Keiko and the ominous-looking Watanabe Yasu, whom she had pranked before during a meal at Seven-Star Target.

Initially surprised to see them here, as she got closer, she overheard someone who seemed like a museum leader fawning over Watanabe Yasu: ”Mr. Watanabe, if it weren’t for your consortium’s funding, our themed exhibition might not have been possible. We must thank your society for supporting and encouraging our museum endeavors.”

Watanabe Yasu responded with a fake smile: ”Promoting the culture of the Yamato ethnicity is something everyone should participate in. I’ve merely contributed a little. I hope the museum will also help publicize the recent discoveries from the ancient tombs and the gold-thread jade clothing during this exhibition.”

The leader nodded enthusiastically: ”Naturally, leave it to us; we will certainly do it right for you!”

Huo Sining then understood that this themed exhibition at the National Museum involved contributions from the Watanabe Consortium. The consortium intended to hitch a ride with the National Museum to help promote their distorted history of the Yamato ethnicity.

Feeling her worldview crumble, Huo Sining was appalled that the consortium was shameless, but she was even more surprised that such a principled place like the National Museum could have such a skewed perspective, lacking integrity?

While Huo Sining internally mocked and despised these two entities, Hattori Keiko suddenly spoke up:

”Chairman Tanaka, I heard that the antiques selected from various museums are now all in the National Museum for the exhibition starting the day after tomorrow. I wonder if we could have a sneak peek at these national treasures?”

Huo Sining’s heart skipped a beat, followed by a flood of joy. She was worried about how to enter that so-called underground warehouse, and Hattori Keiko’s suggestion seemed like an indirect help.

Still slightly suspicious, Huo Sining wondered who this Tanaka was, whom Hattori Keiko referred to as Chairman, and why she would make such a request to him. Did Tanaka have such authority to privately view these national treasures?

Indeed, upon hearing Hattori Keiko’s request, Chairman Tanaka was taken aback. He hesitated, showing a troubled expression.

Huo Sining felt a bit disappointed, guessing this person wasn’t of the highest rank in the museum, and Hattori Keiko’s request might be unreasonable.

Just when Huo Sining thought it wouldn’t happen, Watanabe Yasu suddenly spoke: ”If Chairman Tanaka finds it difficult, then we should go directly to Curator Uehara. I believe the curator will grant our request.”

Watanabe Yasu then gestured to lead Hattori Keiko to the curator. Chairman Tanaka, seeing Watanabe Yasu was somewhat upset, hurriedly intervened, remembering the curator’s directive to treat the esteemed guest from the Watanabe Consortium well. Offending them could lead to losing their funding, which would spell disaster for him.

Without thinking further, Chairman Tanaka blocked them, forcing a smile to say:

”You wish to see the national treasures? No need to bother the curator; I’ll take you there directly, but with a condition. Inside, you must adhere to the regulations, observing only from a distance, refraining from touching or bringing electronic devices to capture photos. Every item is immensely valuable, and no errors can be afforded.”
