Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1019: Chapter 1015: Condition Worsens

As she left Meiji Shrine, Huo Sining turned back for a glance. The chaos there had already calmed down. Under the emcee’s order maintenance, the New Year’s festival continued, with the tea ceremony priest pouring tea into the Yue Kiln Secret Color Porcelain held by Watanabe Yasu.

The emcee praised the Tang Dynasty’s Yue Kiln Secret Color Porcelain to the skies. The eyes of the people worshiping below the stage were glued to that teabowl, each one uttering sounds of amazement. Watanabe Yasu finally felt his vanity was greatly satisfied, lifting his proud head high and looking down upon the people beneath the altar with disdain.

Seeing this scene, Huo Sining couldn’t help but find it amusing. She used her Heavenly Eye to scan the genuine Secret-Color Porcelain Teabowl quietly lying in the storage ring, feeling both fortunate and satisfied, letting out a long sigh.

From discovering this piece of Yue Kiln Secret Color Porcelain, to realizing it had been swapped, and then unexpectedly learning it ended up in Watanabe Yasu’s possession, Huo Sining always felt like the entire event was a circle, as if this bowl was closely connected to her and never really parted from her.

But no matter what, after going around such a big circle, the bowl finally returned to her hands. She had promised Zhou Shitao to bring this bowl back, and she managed to keep her word.

Behind her, a crowd of Dongyang people was worshiping at the shrine, but Huo Sining had no intention of looking any further. She turned around and left Meiji Shrine without a backward glance.

Back at Waseda University, Huo Sining started planning whether to return to her country. The three days around New Year’s were already a legal holiday in Dongyang, and the school was on break. She had nothing much to do staying here anyway, so she thought she might as well go back and take those things home with her.

While Huo Sining was still hesitating, a phone call came in. As soon as she picked up, Ouyang Jun’s anxious voice came through: ”Sister-in-law, can you come back to the country immediately?”

Huo Sining was stunned for a moment and almost instantly guessed the reason: ”Have you returned to the Imperial Capital? Is it Master Qin...?”

Ouyang Jun’s voice was hoarse: ”You already know? Qin Tian and I just got back home two days ago, kept in the dark about it. If not... your Brother Jun Zi rarely asks for help, but could you please, for the sake of our friendship, save my grandpa?”

Huo Sining detected something wrong: ”What happened to Master Qin? Has his condition worsened?”

Ouyang Jun was silent for a few seconds, then choked up: ”Things went wrong last night, he was in such pain that he almost passed out...”

”He’s so stubborn, gritting his teeth to endure it, refusing to tell his family. If the nanny hadn’t noticed him not getting up early today, we might never have known.”

”This morning he hasn’t eaten anything, and even vomited a mouthful of blood. Now he’s in the hospital, but the doctors have no other solution...”

”You’ve saved Master Huang and the younger master of the Lu Family, but those weren’t terminal illnesses. I know I’m clutching at straws here, but regardless of the outcome, I still ask you to take a look...”

Ouyang Jun appears easygoing, but in fact, he’s quite proud. There aren’t many in the Imperial Capital who could make him bow his head, yet here he was, humbling himself before Huo Sining, showing the deep affection he has for Master Qin.

Huo Sining had already planned to see if she could help Master Qin. She originally intended to wait for the half-month exchange program to end, and go back to treat Master Qin, but she hadn’t expected his condition to deteriorate so quickly and urgently, catching her off guard as well.

”Brother Ouyang, don’t be like this. I’ve interacted with Master Qin before, and I have great respect for him. Even if you didn’t ask, I would certainly go see him. Whether I can help or not, I must at least try. I just didn’t expect his condition to worsen so rapidly...”

Huo Sining hastily explained, then thought there was no need for so much talk, and said directly: ”Alright, I’ll buy the fastest flight back right away, doing my best not to delay, and I’ll definitely reach the Imperial Capital before tonight.”

As she was about to hang up the phone, Ouyang Jun heard those words and instantly felt immensely relieved, quickly saying: ”Wait, no need for you to rush that. Just wait where you are; I’ll have Huizi call his aunt to make arrangements and get a private jet to bring you back!”

Without waiting for Huo Sining to respond further, Ouyang Jun hung up the call in a hurry.

Huo Sining felt a moment of surprise, followed by speechlessness.

In the more than a year since her rebirth, she had indeed reversed her fortunes, transforming from an unknown girl into a billionaire tycoon. Yet, Huo Sining had never thought of leveraging her status to enjoy any privileges, and she never mentioned her connection with the Lu Family when outside, fearing the Lu Family might misunderstand her as using their name for personal gain.

Now that Ouyang Jun mentioned sending a private jet for her, Huo Sining wasn’t surprised but felt somewhat uncomfortable and out of place. No matter how her status changed, she always considered herself an ordinary person, unfamiliar with playing the games of the powerful and influential.

However, given the urgency of the situation and Master Qin’s critical condition, it was indeed understandable for the Qin Family and the Ouyang Family to be anxious. Despite her reluctance, Huo Sining had to comply with the Ouyang Family’s arrangements. Plus, there was a special reason for this, and Huo Sining could only reassure herself that it was an emergency mission to save a life, not an abuse of privilege.

Just as expected, minutes after Ouyang Jun’s call ended, Huo Sining’s phone rang again, with a call coming directly from Feng Jinglin: ”I heard you’re returning to the country?”

Huo Sining softly affirmed with a ”mm,” and without much fuss, Feng Jinglin simply told her to wait before hanging up.

Over ten minutes later, Feng Jinglin’s car was parked under Huo Sining’s dormitory building. Lightly packed with just a backpack, Huo Sining got into the car, which drove straight to the airport where someone was already waiting. The private jet was parked on the airport lawn, and after a brief exchange, Feng Jinglin saw Huo Sining off onto the plane.

”The plane will fly directly to the Imperial Capital. Someone will welcome you there, so you don’t have to worry about anything else. Have a good rest; you’ll be there after a nap!”

Feng Jinglin didn’t stay long on the plane and turned to leave through the cabin door.

The plane quickly started its engine, soared into the sky, and three hours later landed at the Imperial Capital International Airport. Upon disembarking, Gu Xu and the Ouyang Family were already waiting there. Barely having time to speak, they ushered Huo Sining into a car and drove straight to Jade Dragon Mountain Sanatorium.
