Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1020: Chapter 1016: Blocked Again

This wasn’t Huo Sining’s first time entering Yulong Mountain. Last year, when Huo Sining went to the Imperial Capital to acknowledge her roots with the Huang Family and learned that Huang Chengyi’s paralyzed lower limbs were truly cured, Chief Lu came to the Huang Family to ask for her help in treating Lu Ruiqi, and that’s how she came to Yulong Mountain.

At that time, Huo Sining didn’t know that those living on Yulong Mountain were some national leaders, and their medical team was composed of experts at the national level, nearly all were famous doctors from hereditary families. Being new and inexperienced, she wasn’t afraid of challenging authority and even clashed with the attending physician, Professor Nie Dechang, boldly making a three-day deadline request.

Thinking about that event made Huo Sining blush a little. In the doctor team on Yulong Mountain, any member was a top figure in the medical field, including experts skilled in traditional Chinese acupuncture and Qigong. Her so-called Qigong Massage Technique was actually just a big bluff, and it was impossible for Professor Nie, with his many years of medical practice, not to see through it.

However, neither this professor nor any other senior traditional Chinese medicine practitioners raised any objections or doubts about her claim, showing a high level of respect for her. After three days, when Lu Ruiqi’s condition improved, those professors generously forgave her.

In particular, Professor Nie took great care of her. Even after she left Yulong Mountain, the professor somehow acquired her phone number and would call occasionally to check on her status.

Of course, until now, Huo Sining still didn’t know that Professor Nie Dechang approached her closely with only one purpose: he saw her natural talent and wanted to take her as an apprentice, to pass down his medical skills, and then enable her to promote traditional Chinese medicine far and wide.

Nie Dechang hid his intentions so deeply that Huo Sining hadn’t noticed at all. After arriving at Yulong Mountain with Gu Xu and Ouyang Jun, Huo Sining planned to ask the hospital staff where Professor Nie Dechang was. If she had time, she even considered visiting the professor’s office.

However, when she went with Gu Xu and Ouyang Jun to the private ward where Master Qin was, and saw Professor Nie among the four or five expert team members, she no longer had such thoughts.

Qin Lianshan’s illness came on furiously with a rapid deterioration. At such times, even an old traditional Chinese doctor like Nie Dechang had no significant methods, leaving them to rely on specialized Western medical treatment. Conservative treatments were certainly not feasible, but with the old man being so advanced in age, surgery options were also not viable, prompting the expert team members to gather together to discuss the most suitable and effective plan.

Ouyang Jun’s bringing Huo Sining here was done without notifying the expert team, not even the Qin Family was aware of it.

So when Ouyang Jun suddenly brought Huo Sining over, the several family members waiting anxiously outside the ward couldn’t help but be taken aback.

”Xiao Jun, what are you doing?”

Seeing Ouyang Jun lead Huo Sining to this floor and head straight for Qin Lianshan’s ward, Ouyang Jun’s mother Qin Haiyan immediately frowned and hurriedly stopped them.

Ouyang Jun, anxious at this moment, merely wanted Huo Sining to take a look. Seeing his mother blocking him, he got a little impatient: ”Mom, don’t stop me, I found someone to check on Grandpa.”

Qin Haiyan surveyed Huo Sining from head to toe, expressing dissatisfaction: ”Who is this girl? Your grandpa just came out of the emergency room and barely stabilized. We can’t let anyone in to disturb him; stop adding confusion!”

Just when Ouyang Jun was about to explain, two Qin Family daughters-in-law were equally tense and doubtful: ”Xiao Jun, stop causing trouble. Grandpa can’t handle any more fuss. For his sake, let him rest quietly, okay?”

Ouyang Jun felt a growing anger in his chest, unsure whom to direct it towards.

At this moment, Qin Tian and a nanny carrying several thermal boxes came up, seeing Ouyang Jun pushing and shoving outside Grandpa’s ward and thinking something had happened, they hurriedly ran over and were about to ask what was going on. Suddenly lifting his eyes, Qin Tian saw Huo Sining standing a bit further away. His eyes immediately lit up, and he placed the thermal boxes on a hallway bench, running directly over:

”Haha, Xu Zi, your wife is really something, coming all this way! Quickly, sister-in-law, now that you’re here, go inside and see Grandpa. Whether it can be treated or not, one must at least take a look!”

”What?!”

Over there, both Qin Haiyan and the two Qin Family daughters-in-law who were persuading Ouyang Jun were stunned upon hearing Qin Tian’s words.

Seeing his mother’s and aunt’s expressions, knowing they must not be aware of the specifics, Qin Tian quickly explained:

”Mom, Aunt, this is Huo Sining, Xu Zi’s incredibly talented wife. It was this girl who healed Master Huang and that young one from the Lu Family when they were paralyzed in the lower half. Jun Zi brought Huo Sining here hoping she could help see if there’s any method for Grandpa.”

Hearing this, Qin Haiyan and the others hurriedly let go of Ouyang Jun, though their eyes still hesitated on Huo Sining, bearing a strong skepticism towards what Qin Tian said.

Although Ouyang Jun and Qin Tian, and even everyone from the Qin and Ouyang Families, were aware of Huo Sining’s treatments for Huang Chengyi and Lu Ruiqi, elders like Qin Haiyan just couldn’t reconcile the miracle-working legendary doctor with the tender-faced, petite girl standing before them.

In Qin Haiyan and the others’ minds, any famous doctor they knew had grey hair, reading glasses, a face full of wrinkles, and calloused hands. Huo Sining’s youth made her the first of this kind they had ever seen.

”Let her in!”

While Qin Haiyan and others hesitated to decide, suddenly two middle-aged men appeared at the other end of the hallway, with one of the men speaking directly.

Huo Sining was somewhat surprised and instinctively looked up at the two men, and upon seeing one, realized it was a familiar face she hadn’t seen in a long time, Lu Ruiqi’s father, Lu Zhenghang.

Seeming to sense Huo Sining looking at him, Lu Zhenghang’s gaze swept towards her, nodding slightly before speaking:

”Mrs. Qin, Mrs. Ouyang, Elder Qin’s condition is urgent, and we can’t keep dragging it out like this. The expert team hasn’t yet devised a specific plan. Let’s allow Miss Huo to take a look, as it won’t delay anything. If she can propose any method, why not?”
