Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 590: Chapter 588: The Taste of Pepper Spray

Hearing Four Eyes’ words, the female reporter was instantly filled with shock and rage, being pushed and shoved involuntarily toward the outside.

The few men sneaking glances inside the bank couldn’t help but show a look of regret, as the female reporter, both in appearance and figure, could be considered outstanding. But everyone knew she was close to death, yet no one dared to speak up.

Fury in her eyes, Huo Sining seized the moment when everyone’s attention turned towards the door; without any hesitation, she drew Su Qingqing into her space, and with an incantation, her entire form disappeared instantly from the corner.

Since there was a column in front of the corner where Huo Sining and Su Qingqing were hiding, and everyone was focused on the conflict between the female reporter and the robber, their disappearance from the corner went unnoticed.

At this moment, Huo Sining couldn’t help feeling a bit relieved; luckily, these robbers were seasoned criminals who had destroyed the bank’s surveillance equipment at the first opportunity, otherwise she wouldn’t have dared use her Invisibility Technique so brazenly.

Becoming invisible, Huo Sining moved silently towards the stocky man.

In the midst of being pushed and shoved, the female reporter was herded to the door, and just as she neared the two security guards, she stumbled, falling forward.

The reporter barely managed to brace herself with her hands when Four Eyes lost his temper, delivering a kick to her buttocks: ”Bitch, stand the hell up, don’t think you can avoid this by putting on an act...”

Before Four Eyes could finish, the reporter twisted around, brandishing a shard of glass and aiming for Four Eyes’ face.

A hush fell over the bank, all eyes on the reporter, and A Wei and Biaozi, who were closest to Four Eyes, couldn’t help but shout, ”Four Eyes, watch out!”

The stocky man didn’t hesitate to raise his handgun, ready to shoot at the female reporter, wanting to blow her head off for attacking Four Eyes!

But to his surprise, at that moment, a mist sprayed towards him from mid-air, followed by an intense burning sensation invading his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.

”Ah--”

The fierce stocky man couldn’t help but scream in torment when the pepper spray hit him, his vision darkening in that instant as he felt excruciating pain in his face, falling to the ground with his expression twisted in agony, tears and snot streaming down.

”Boss!” Uncertain about this sudden turn of events, everyone looked on bewildered.

The other three robbers also froze; Biaozi no longer cared to aim at the reporter, and instinctively ran towards the stocky man to check on the situation.

But before he could run two steps, he was struck as well.

The two toughest of the four robbers lay on the ground, howling in pain, convulsing all over; leaving A Wei and Four Eyes suddenly panicked, exchanging glances only to see shock and horror in each other’s eyes.

”Boss, Brother Biao, are you all right?”

Four Eyes asked instinctively.

The stocky man and Biaozi, having been sprayed with pepper spray, were already suffering and struggling to breathe; let alone hold a gun, they couldn’t even speak a word.

Seeing this, Four Eyes was instantly frightened, and disregarding the reporter, he hastily approached A Wei, asking as he moved, ”Brother Wei, what’s going on here? How could Boss and Cousin...”

Before Four Eyes could finish speaking, flashy-haired Brother Wei let out a terrible scream, tears and snot mixing as he fell to the ground convulsing, not even caring that his gun had dropped.

The female reporter on the scene was also stunned, clutching pieces of broken glass in her hand, but she had forgotten to act.

No one had expected such a turn of events, and for a moment, no one spoke. They just looked at each other, at a loss for words.

The last remaining Four Eyes was both shocked and frightened; he took several steps back and raised the gun in his hand, firing two reckless shots into the void of the bank lobby. He hit nothing, and his spirits were in complete disarray. Staggering, he ran towards the entrance of the bank.

But he had barely taken a few steps out of the bank’s front door when he heard a ”bang,” and Four Eyes fell to the ground, blood gushing from the back of his head. His legs twitched a few times, and then he lay still.

Fu Yuanshan had been waiting outside, and when he saw a robber running out of the bank holding a gun, he didn’t know what was going on but wouldn’t miss such a perfect opportunity. With a wave of his hand, the sniper shot Four Eyes in the head.

”What’s going on?” After shooting the robber dead, Fu Yuanshan realized something was amiss and instinctively asked the person next to him.

Nobody knew what had happened, nor could they explain why the robber had run out alone to his death.

Fu Yuanshan didn’t dare to act rashly, and quietly waited a minute. At that moment, a woman ran out of the bank lobby, sprinting straight towards the police cordon outside.

”Quick, police, go inside! The robbers have been subdued!”

As she ran towards the outside, the woman shouted loudly at the police.

The woman who had run out was none other than the female reporter who had just escaped death by a hair’s breadth.

”What?!”

Hearing clearly what the woman had said, Fu Yuanshan and Zhao Chunhui exchanged glances, their expressions changing dramatically. Dozens of SWAT officers carried their guns and rushed quickly towards the bank entrance.

Huo Sining had just returned to the corner to hide and released Su Qingqing from the Space when the SWAT team stormed into the bank.

From subduing Brother Biao to Four Eyes being shot by the sniper as he fled the bank, it all took only tens of seconds. However, Huo Sining felt as if it had been a century long.

It was not until she saw dozens of SWAT officers rushing in, overpowering the three robbers on the ground, that she finally breathed a sigh of relief. The stone that had been hanging over her heart finally fell, and her tense body completely relaxed.

Su Qingqing, on the other hand, was utterly bewildered. Just a second ago, she saw the female reporter being pushed by a robber to be taken to the entrance of the bank and killed. Then the next second, dozens of SWAT officers burst into the lobby and subdued the robbers. What had happened?

”What happened? When did these SWAT officers come in? How were these robbers subdued without putting up any resistance?”

Su Qingqing was completely puzzled and had no idea what had transpired.

The other civilians hiding in the corner were also unclear about what exactly was going on. They clearly remembered the robbers just a moment ago, brandishing their guns and looking ferocious, but then, in the blink of an eye, they all ended up on the ground.

”It seemed like they were attacked by something. Then the lead robber fell to the ground, and the other two were taken down as well. The last one was so scared he rushed out and was killed by the police!”

A man who had witnessed everything found it absurd and slightly unbelievable. He hesitated before giving his not-so-confident speculation.
