Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 552: Chapter 549: Dark Jade

A painting that seemed like a perfect splash of ink unfolded before her eyes, and within the piece of rough jade with its prominent edges behind her, a great secret lay hidden.

Although Huo Sining’s face did not betray much excitement, her heart came alive the instant she saw this piece of jadeite.

She stealthily glanced at the few people around her out of the corner of her eye, noting that they hadn’t paid any attention to her; a faint joy stirred within her as she casually surveyed the piece of rough jade that had caused her injury.

The rough jade was medium-sized, about fifty kilograms, with a skin color of a mixed black and grey, probably from an old pit’s gray card.

The gray card is one of the types of old mine soils, but such rough jade from this mine is not very popular.

Because it’s difficult to judge the jadeite raw materials from the gray card, their exterior and interior could change unpredictably, making it hard to understand and find a pattern.

The size of the individual gray card raw materials varies greatly; large pieces can weigh hundreds or even tens of thousands of kilograms, making them giants among rough jade materials.

However, the probability of finding jadeite within the gray card is very low, and the jadeite that is cut from it usually lacks transparency with an uneven distribution of quality.

Yet, once a high-quality green is found within the gray card, it’s a supreme quality with both the seed and water of jade being sufficient.

The rough jade that Huo Sining was looking at did not show very well, with a very ordinary skin and no python band on the shell; instead, it was covered with dense and fine mildew flowers.

Most importantly, this was a rough piece that had been ”windowed.” A small section had been rubbed off one of the mildew flowers, revealing a window covered in black moss.

Seeing that densely-packed black moss on the window would usually make one involuntarily gasp in dismay.

However, considering the gray card’s special characteristics and its difficult-to-predict variability, such a piece of rough jade still interested many people.

Although betting on the moss is risky, if there is green within this piece of rough jade, it is sure to be high-quality green.

Moreover, because this piece did not exhibit good characteristics, the starting price was only two hundred thousand, which, compared to the bidding in Ruili, let alone the Dark Bid Area, is an extraordinarily low price even when compared to the Bright Bid Area.

However, what caught Huo Sining’s eye was not the low price of the rough jade, but the almost perfectly matching color within it.

This piece was indeed black moss, yet it was not like the moss eating green she had encountered before; it was more unique. If she had to describe it, the term would be ”variant moss eating green.”

Going down one centimeter from the window, the inside of the rough jade was all black moss, and cutting it open to look would certainly be shocking.

But if one cut further down, the black moss would undergo mutation, where the moss eating green turned to moss eating black.

Delving two to three centimeters deeper, the moss eating black completely turned into a vast expanse of black.

The blackness that shone like ink was right there in front of her eyes, and within that inky green, hints of red, green, blue, white, and yellow emerged, intertwining upon this piece of inky jade to form a natural splash-ink painting.

Such a scene filled Huo Sining’s heart with both shock and delight; the miraculous work of nature was indeed unthinkable and awe-inspiring.

Although this piece of ink jade was as black as ink, its texture was delicate, the structure was uniform and intricate, and its translucency was good, looking at the quality of this ”land and water head,” it undoubtedly belonged to the glass type.

Additionally, those five-colored silken jadeites covering it contained no impurities, no cracks. Such jadeite, once cut and polished, required no carving to be a perfect natural painting, an absolute rarity among rarities!

Ink jade is a type of jadeite, often confused with ink jade, a type of Hetian Jade.

Indeed, ink jade is a type of Hetian jade which is entirely black and softer than jadeite.

Ink jade is also commonly mistaken for ”ink jadeite”; however, they differ, even though both are black. Ink jadeite carries a hint of scarlet within the black, while ink jade has a subtle greenness shining through the pure black without any impurities, more full of spiritual energy.

At first glance, ink jade can appear so shiny that it’s mistaken for ink jade from Du Shan Jade or other dark-colored gemstones, but under transmitted light, it’s revealed to be semi-transparent, black yet faintly green.

Because of these characteristics, the people of Myanmar affectionately describe it as the ”shadow of a lover,” since its subtle greenness is as mysterious and enticing as the silhouette of a lover.

It’s rumored that ink jade can ward off evil. Although its color doesn’t make it as popular as other colors of jadeite and it’s rarely carved into bangles or jewelry – usually crafted into ornaments to suit its dignified and noble color – many men still wear pendants or jade tablets made from ink jade carved into deities, Lord Guan, and the like.

However, no master sculptor would dare to touch the piece of ink jade in Huo Sining’s hands.

Such a treasure is already a natural masterpiece; the craftsmanship of nature cannot be rivaled by the carving of mere mortals, not even by Yan Feng.

This piece of jadeite needs no carving; its very existence is already perfect, any addition would be superfluous.

If Huo Sining might have some hesitation about the Blood Beauty, then she was determined to acquire this natural jadeite.

In just a little more than ten seconds, Huo Sining made up her mind, silently memorized the number of the rough stone, and then followed the staff member toward the VIP area.

Upon reaching the VIP area, she indeed saw Qin Lianshan and the people from the Ruili Jade Association chatting. When Huo Sining walked in, they all turned to look at her, their eyes carrying a complex mix of jealousy and admiration.

For people like them, who had spent decades fighting and scrambling in the circle of jade gambling, they could barely be considered to have grasped the tricks of the trade, not quite on par with someone like Liu Chongren who nearly always comes out ahead, but at least they held a 40-50% certainty.

But Huo Sining was different. This girl looked to be no more than twenty years old, evidently new to the world of jade gambling, yet the talent she displayed in Ruili over the past few days was extraordinary beyond common reach.

Within the Mogang Rock, consecutive cuts had revealed Emerald Heavenly Beads and imperial green jadeites; such sharp and seasoned judgement and skill made these self-proclaimed gamble experts from the Jade Association feel ashamed.

It had been a long time since any fresh blood had been introduced into this circle, like a stagnant pool devoid of vitality.

Without opponents, these individuals had become complacent and arrogant, believing there was no one left in the world to challenge them.

However, Huo Sining’s emergence smacked them hard, jolting them completely awake from their dream.

”Little Huo, long time no see. You’ve been quiet these past days, but when you act, you’re astonishing!”

Seeing Huo Sining walking in, Qin Lianshan was the first to stand up, his eyes brimming with laughter as he looked at her.
