Urban Martial Saint

”Cousin?” Ye Qing furrowed his brows. From the sound of it, it seemed like the children of his uncles had arrived.

The clamorous noise outside got closer and closer, and Ye Qing walked straight out of the ward to see a group of six or seven young men and women casually walking over. Leading them was someone wearing sunglasses with a gold chain around his neck—clearly not good news, just by looking at him—a second-rank delinquent.

The few following him, judging by their get-up, didn’t look like upstanding citizens either.

Over the years, Ye Qing hadn’t mingled much with his uncles and aunts, so he didn’t know much about their situation. Now it appeared that their children were all rather troublesome, at the very least judging by their clothes, they didn’t seem decent.

The group of six or seven headed straight over, and the guy with the gold chain glanced into the ward and asked Ye Qing, ”Hey, is this where Ye Changwen is staying?”

”Do you know him?” Ye Qing asked casually.

The one with the gold chain seemed quite dissatisfied with Ye Qing’s attitude and glared, ”Damn it, I’m asking you if this ward is where Ye Changwen is staying. If it is, say it is; if it’s not, then it’s not. Why the fuck are you talking so much shit?”

”Yes, it is!” Ye Qing replied.

”Then that settles it!” The guy with the gold chain waved his hand, ”That old guy is staying here. Let’s go in and ask him to clear things up!”

The few people behind him immediately wanted to go in, but then Ye Qing blocked the doorway and asked, ”Who are you to him?”

The guy with the gold chain glared once more, ”What the fuck does it have to do with you? Who the hell are you, and what’s it to you to speak here?”

”Big brother, what’s going on?” Da Fei, hearing the commotion, immediately ran out of the room and glared, ”Damn, you bastards, what’s with that attitude when you’re talking to my big brother?”

”Oh, so he’s the ’big brother’, huh!” The guy with the gold chain looked Ye Qing up and down, laughing mockingly, ”Kid, what’s your name? Which gang do you hang with? What kind of big brother are you? A mess hall’s big brother?”

”You motherfucker, dare to talk to my big brother like that, you looking for death!” Da Fei roared furiously.

”You’re the motherfucker looking for death!” The guy with the gold chain shouted, and the six or seven people behind him immediately surrounded them, looking rather intimidating.

However, Da Fei didn’t take them seriously at all. Just as he was about to curse back, Ye Qing gestured with his hand to stop him, ”My name is Ye Qing.”

”Ye Qing? That name sounds familiar!” the guy with the gold chain scratched his head, and suddenly said, ”Oh, you’re the son of Ye Changwen, right? Hehe, so you’re actually my cousin, huh?”

As he spoke, he looked Ye Qing up and down again and laughed, ”Cousin, I heard you’re a top student from Northern University, but here you are acting like a big brother? Cousin, what kind of big brother are you? Let your cousins here learn something and share your notorious title!”

At this, the group of siblings behind him burst into laughter, obviously not taking Ye Qing seriously at all. In their view, the Ye family line had gone downhill a long time ago, so they never paid it much respect. As for Ye Qing, they didn’t even consider him a cousin.

”Eh, Big Brother, are they your relatives?” Da Fei wondered, but remembering the matters of Ye Qing’s uncles, he soon realized. With such uncles, it was no surprise to have cousins like these.

”Kid, don’t go asserting relationships wildly!” The guy with the gold chain glanced at Da Fei and said, ”By name, yeah, he’s my cousin. But that doesn’t mean we’re family.”

The guy with the gold chain sneered at Ye Qing, ”His dad hooked up with some second-hand woman, so he has nothing to do with our Liang family. So, we’re not relatives!”

”So you know we’re not relatives.” Ye Qing said, ”Since we’re not relatives, I’d like you to leave. This is where my father is recuperating, and only our family’s relatives and friends are allowed to visit.”

”Who said I was here to visit!” The guy with the gold chain laughed, ”Boss Ye, I’m here to ask Ye Changwen when he’s going to pay back the money he owes to our Liang family. Boss Ye, you still have our Liang family’s blood flowing in your veins, and I’m saying this for your own good—don’t meddle in affairs that aren’t your business. Otherwise, we won’t show you any respect as the big brother.

It would be quite embarrassing for you in front of your little brother if it comes to that, wouldn’t it?”

The constant referral to him as ’Boss Ye’ was clearly sarcasm, and it made the group of cousins behind him laugh without restraint.

”Fuck...” Da Fei was about to curse out when he thought better of it, realizing it would be an insult to Ye Qing too, so he swallowed his words.

”Bastards, you’re really arrogant!” Da Fei pointed at the guy with the gold chain, angry.

”Arrogant? I’ve got the capital to be arrogant, what about it, you disagree, you want to be arrogant and give it a shot?” The guy with the gold chain said, and turned to shout into the ward, ”Hey, you old fart, stop playing dead, haven’t you heard me, your young master’s...”

Before he finished speaking, Ye Qing put his hand over his mouth and kicked him back.

The guy with the gold chain immediately collapsed to the ground, but Ye Qing had actually shown restraint; otherwise, that kick would likely have broken a few ribs.

”You dare hit people!” One of the youths immediately ran over and threw a punch at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing grabbed his wrist and gave it a hard twist, and the youth immediately collapsed to the ground, crying and screaming like a pig being slaughtered as he held his wrist.

”Ye, you hit your own relatives!” A girl screamed, ”Don’t forget, your mom is still our aunt!”

”So now you realize we’re relatives?” Ye Qing glared at her, and the few eager youths behind her immediately retreated a few steps in fear. These people were all talk, but seriously fighting? They weren’t up to par at all.

Ye Qing walked up to Jin Lianzi, didn’t even glance at him, and grabbed his gold chain, yanking him up. The gold chain wasn’t that thick, and the kid, afraid of it snapping, had no choice but to scramble up.

”Don’t pull, don’t pull, it’ll break in a moment. Hey, hey, hey, go slower, slow down…” Jin Lianzi was dragged by Ye Qing all the way to an empty hospital room at the end of the corridor. His brothers and sisters followed, but they just murmured from a distance, none daring to stop Ye Qing.

Ye Qing flung Jin Lianzi into the hospital room, then turned to look at the siblings outside who didn’t dare to enter, and said coldly, ”Come in!”

The siblings exchanged glances, and one of the youths shouted angrily, ”Ye, don’t get too cocky. Just because you have some skills doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want in Jiuchuan County. I’m telling you, my big brother is He Biao, you believe he can make a call and send three hundred people to chop you to death?”

”Right, release our boss now, or we’ll have our big brother come and kill you!”

”Even if you let our boss go now, it’s not enough, you need to kneel and kowtow to us, and then transfer that property into our name. Only then will we consider sparing you!”

”Yeah, yeah, yeah, hurry up and transfer the property to our name, otherwise I’m calling my big brother right now!”

Ye Qing glanced at them impatiently, stood up, and walked straight to the door, in one move throwing all six or seven of them into the room.

”Da Fei, go book this hospital room,” Ye Qing said loudly.

”Got it!” Da Fei chuckled with a snicker, glanced at Jin Lianzi and the rest, and laughed covering his mouth, ”A phone call to summon three hundred people, damn, that’s terrifying!”

Jin Lianzi also detected the sarcasm in Da Fei’s tone. He didn’t understand what was going on with Ye Qing, why wasn’t he afraid of He Biao?

”Ye Qing, don’t say I didn’t warn you, my big brother really is He Biao, haven’t you heard the name He Biao?” Jin Lianzi yelled.

Ye Qing walked over to him, took off his sunglasses with one hand, and said, ”Never heard of him.”

”Damn, you haven’t even heard of He Biao’s name?”

”If you let that sentence out, do you think you can leave Jiuchuan County alive?”

”He Biao is the biggest gang boss in Jiuchuan County, you haven’t even heard of him?”

The siblings were making a racket, seemingly full of admiration for this He Biao. But what they didn’t know was that the bosses Ye Qing had encountered in Shenchuan City were far stronger than this He Biao, any one of them!

Having his sunglasses taken, Jin Lianzi said urgently, ”Hey, why are you stealing my stuff?”

”It’s early in the morning, the sun isn’t even up, don’t you think wearing sunglasses is idiotic?” Ye Qing said, then threw the sunglasses on the ground and carelessly crushed them with his foot.

Enraged, Jin Lianzi bellowed, ”Fuck your mother, you dare…”

Before he could finish, Ye Qing slapped him across the mouth, immediately causing his nose and mouth to bleed.

”We from the Ye family aren’t your relatives, but still, my mother is your maternal aunt!” Ye Qing said coldly, ”Speak carelessly again, and I’ll knock all your teeth out!”

Clutching his mouth and spitting out blood, Jin Lianzi was furious and retorted, ”Bullshit, if you dare knock out my teeth, my big brother won’t let you off!”

Without another word, Ye Qing walked up to him, grabbed his cheek, and yanked him up.

”Let go of our big brother!” One of the youths shouted, drawing a dagger from somewhere and stabbing towards Ye Qing’s back. Two other young men also joined in the attack, weapons in hand, appearing to have been prepared.

Ye Qing, holding onto Jin Lianzi, unleashed punches and kicks, quickly knocking the three youths to the ground. That left only two girls who hadn’t been hit; seeing Ye Qing’s formidable actions, they were both struck with fear.

After dealing with the three youths, Ye Qing then turned to look at Jin Lianzi and said coldly, ”I said, if you don’t watch your mouth, I’ll knock all your teeth out.”

Jin Lianzi shouted, ”I don’t believe it, dare to knock out my teeth, and my big brother won’t spare you!”

Ye Qing clenched his fist and landed a heavy punch on Jin Lianzi’s face. Jin Lianzi fell to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood, mixed with seven or eight teeth.

Jin Lianzi was stunned. He hadn’t expected Ye Qing to strike so terrifyingly. Looking at those seven or eight teeth, he nearly lost his mind. If Ye Qing threw a few more punches, would he have to wear dentures in the future?
