Urban Martial Saint

Rushing to Xingyi Martial Arts School, the main gate was still wide open. Ye Qing didn’t bother with pleasantries and charged straight in, soon spotting the lit yard where training was taking place from afar.

Ye Qing headed straight there, but as soon as he reached the entrance of the courtyard, two men spotted him and came over to block his way.

”What are you doing?” one man asked arrogantly, only to be answered by a powerful fist, sending him squatting to the ground, clutching his nose.

Seeing this, the other man became furious and shouted, ”You dare to hit someone, I...”

Just as he was lifting his fist, Ye Qing kicked him in the chest. The man was sent flying back into the training yard, eliciting a round of shocked exclamations and roars.

”Who is it?” Wu Xinghuai shouted from the front just as Ye Qing had entered the courtyard.

”It’s you!” Wu Xinghuai’s face changed drastically. Ye Qing had swept through Xingyi Martial Arts School the previous night, and now he had come again, sending a shiver down his spine. However, a cold smirk soon crossed his face.

His two Senior Uncles were currently present at the Xingyi Martial Arts School. With Ye Qing causing trouble at this time, wasn’t he just delivering himself to them? This time, it wasn’t them who provoked Ye Qing; he had come of his own accord, and the two Senior Uncles would certainly not just sit by and watch!

”Go call the two Senior Uncles!” Wu Xinghuai whispered to an apprentice nearby, then looked coldly at Ye Qing and said, ”Mr. Ye, you really have some nerve. You injured so many people from my Xingyi Martial Arts School yesterday, and I haven’t settled the score with you yet. You’ve come again today; aren’t you being overly oppressive?

Do you really think our Xingyi Boxing School has no one who can deal with you?”

Wu Xinghuai spoke righteously, but he was really just trying to incite the anger of the short and tall men.

Ye Qing couldn’t care less about his rant and said sternly, ”Where’s Wang Tiezhu? Hand him over!”

”What Wang Tiezhu? I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Wu Xinghuai shouted, ”Mr. Ye, don’t think that just because you have some skills, you can disregard everyone under the heavens. You’ve repeatedly insulted our Xingyi Quan, and today, even if we have to stake our lives, we will defend the dignity of our Xingyi Boxing School!”

As he spoke, Wu Xinghuai charged towards Ye Qing and threw a punch.

Seeing Wu Xinghuai in denial and convinced that Wang Tiezhu had encountered misfortune, Ye Qing became furious. As Wu Xinghuai rushed at him, Ye Qing held nothing back and stepped forward, delivering an elbow strike right to Wu Xinghuai’s chest.

Wu Xinghuai was at a disadvantage for the second time with this move, but he still couldn’t dodge it. There was no way around it; Ye Qing was too fast, and the move was too domineering. Even though he tried to block it with his arms, they were almost broken, and he went flying backwards, crashing heavily into a rockery behind him.

”Master!” the crowd exclaimed as they rushed forward to intercept Ye Qing. Ye Qing plunged into the crowd, executing the Bajiquan to perfection, his elbow strikes and punches embodying the Stick to the Mountain technique. Anyone he hit was at least left with broken bones and spitting blood, showing just how overpowering Ye Qing’s punches were.

In fact, after Ou Keren had pierced him with steel needles at thirty-six major acupoints, Ye Qing’s strength had significantly increased. Otherwise, although he could defeat these people, it wouldn’t be this easy.

After knocking down six or seven people, finally a loud shout came from a distance, ”Stop!”

Ye Qing, recognizing the voice, turned to look just in time to see the short and tall individuals approaching. Ye Qing paused, surprised to encounter these two here. However, judging by the looks of the apprentices following them, there seemed to be some connection with the Xingyi Martial Arts School.

”Is it you two?” Ye Qing stopped and frowned as he looked at them.

The short man approached, his face clouding with anger upon seeing the injured. Ye Qing’s strikes were far too domineering; those who were hurt were severely injured, which upset the short man greatly.

”Mr. Ye, what exactly is going on here?” the short man asked sternly, his tone already quite displeased with Ye Qing.

Ye Qing replied coldly, ”Ask them yourself!”

The short man turned to Wu Xinghuai, who hurriedly rambled, ”Great Master Uncle, I really don’t know what’s going on. We were just practicing here when he barged in demanding people. I had no idea what was happening, and he just got angry and injured so many of us. Great Master Uncle, so many can testify, I really didn’t do anything!”

The short man furrowed his brow, looked at Ye Qing, and said sternly, ”Mr. Ye, what exactly happened?”

Ye Qing replied sternly, ”Wu Xinghuai, stop pretending. If Wang Tiezhu wasn’t captured by you, then who else could it have been? I’m telling you, if Wang Tiezhu is missing even a single hair, I won’t let you off!”

The short man spoke in a deep voice, ”Xing Huai, what’s the situation with Wang Tiezhu?”

”I... I really don’t know...” Wu Xinghuai was extremely aggrieved, ”As soon as he came in, he demanded a person from us. I didn’t know what had happened with Wang Tiezhu either. Great Master Uncle, you also know we’ve been at the martial arts school all day and haven’t left. He came in and pinned all this on us, what does this have to do with us?

Wang Tiezhu disappears and he comes looking for us, how does that make any sense?”

”You’re still trying to deny it!” Ye Qing said sternly, ”The hospital nurses heard the words ’Xingyi Martial Arts School.’ Who else but you from the Xingyi Martial Arts School would want to kill Wang Tiezhu to silence him? This beast, Ding Shaoyan, he harmed Wang Tiezhu’s family, almost drove Wang Tiezhu’s sister to suicide, and now he wants to kill Wang Tiezhu to silence him.

The Ding Family is so domineering. You lapdogs, do you really think I, Ye Qing, would not dare to touch you? I’m telling you, if you don’t hand over Wang Tiezhu, I’ll tear down your Xingyi Martial Arts School and then go deal with Ding Shaoyan properly!”

”Mr. Ye, isn’t that a bit harsh!” the short man frowned deeply, looking at Ye Qing, ”Mr. Ye, I respect you as a true man who distinguishes clearly between friends and enemies. However, shouldn’t we investigate thoroughly before concluding anything? You are adamant it was our people from the Xingyi Martial Arts School who kidnapped Wang Tiezhu. Do you have any evidence?”

Ye Qing responded, ”Now in Shenchuan City, besides Ding Shaoyan wanting to kill Wang Tiezhu to silence him, who else would do such a thing? Moreover, the nurse personally heard the words ’Xingyi Martial Arts School.’ Isn’t that evidence?”

”That’s just your speculation, not evidence. You can’t just decide it was someone from my Xingyi Martial Arts School based on that alone,” the short man shook his head, ”How about this, Mr. Ye, if you trust me, let me investigate this matter. I will surely give you a satisfactory answer!”

”I trust you, but there’s no room for negotiation in this matter!” Ye Qing resolutely shook his head, ”Wang Tiezhu is in Ding Shaoyan’s hands. Every extra minute is another minute’s danger. You must hand him over, otherwise, I’ll go in and search myself!”

Wu Xinghuai was furiously said, ”You think the Xingyi Martial Arts School is some place you can just search whenever you want? You really don’t respect our Xingyi Quan School at all!”

The short man also said sternly, ”Mr. Ye, this is a representative martial arts school of the Xingyi Quan School and it represents the face of our Xingyi Quan. It would be rather inconvenient for you to search here!”

Ye Qing said with a heavy tone, ”What’s so inconvenient if you haven’t kidnapped Wang Tiezhu? Then there’s nothing to fear!”

The short man said, ”It’s not about hiding Wang Tiezhu, but about the dignity of our Xingyi Quan, please understand, Mr. Ye!”

Ye Qing said, ”The face of Xingyi Quan, and a person’s life, which is more important!”

The short man stared at Ye Qing for a while and said gravely, ”Mr. Ye, no matter what, we can’t let you search the Xingyi Martial Arts School randomly!”

”What if I must search it?” Ye Qing said sternly.

”I know I’m no match for Mr. Ye, but I’m still willing to protect the dignity of the Xingyi Quan, even against overwhelming odds!” the short man said as he slowly took off his coat, watching Ye Qing with cold eyes.

Ye Qing furrowed his brows; he didn’t want to fight the short man. But Wang Tiezhu’s life was at stake, and he could not afford any delay. Even a minute’s accident could lead to Wang Tiezhu being killed, so he had to find Wang Tiezhu quickly.

”If that’s the case, then I must apologize in advance!” Ye Qing clenched his fists and gazed at the short man from afar.

”If we’re going to fight, then let’s fight together!” the tall man also walked over, standing next to the short man, readying themselves as they faced Ye Qing.

The short man did not ask the tall man to leave, because this was a matter of the dignity of the Xingyi Quan School, and he could not afford to be careless. Moreover, he knew the fearsome strength of Ye Qing. Even if he and the tall man joined forces, they might not be able to stop Ye Qing; they were only making a final effort to defend the dignity of the Xingyi Quan School.

Wu Xinghuai and the others shivered with excitement upon seeing the short man and the tall man take action. Having been defeated by Ye Qing the day before, they all harbored resentment. With the two senior uncles here, they finally saw a chance for revenge, each secretly wishing that the short man and the tall man could cripple or even kill Ye Qing.

Of course, Wu Xinghuai was also very surprised. He knew the temperament of the Great Master Uncle—righteous and fair in conduct, seldom defeated in duels, always fair in actions, never bullying the weak. Yet, tonight, he was teaming up with Second Senior Uncle to confront Ye Qing, an unprecedented situation. What on earth was going on?

Of course, Wu Xinghuai didn’t know that the short man teamed up with the tall man because he knew his strength was far inferior to Ye Qing’s. Yet, he still had to defend the dignity of the Xingyi Quan, so he had no choice but to pair up with the tall man.

Even so, the two of them remained cautiously on the defensive against Ye Qing, assuming a defensive posture and daring not to attack rashly.

However, Ye Qing was unwilling to waste any time. He rushed forward toward the two men and, as he was about to reach them, thrust his right elbow hard into the chest of the tall man.

The tall man bent his legs in a horse stance, with hands joined in an attempt to block Ye Qing’s strike. Yet, he underestimated Ye Qing’s strength; the blow forced his hands apart, completely failing to stop it.

It was only because the short man was watching closely and hurriedly struck Ye Qing’s elbow, deflecting the blow, that he managed to spare the tall man from being hit in the chest by Ye Qing’s elbow. However, Ye Qing used the momentum to grab his wrist, pulled it backwards, and simultaneously threw a punch at the short man’s face.
