Urban Martial Saint

Hearing this, Li Lianshan couldn’t help but be startled and wondered, ”Ye Zi, you mean…”

Ye Qing cut him off, ”Don’t talk now, go back and get some money!”

”Alright, alright, leave it to me!” Li Lianshan was overjoyed; he knew Ye Qing definitely wouldn’t stoop to the level of those three unfilial sons. He just didn’t know what exactly Ye Qing planned to do.

Ye Qing got into another car and drove out of the breeding farm, pulling up in a secluded area. She instructed the two women to drive the car to the outskirts of the town and wait there. Though Huo Pingping’s driving skills were mediocre, driving on a flat road wasn’t too difficult for her.

After sending the two women off, Ye Qing sneaked to the outside of the breeding farm by another small path. Huang Ziying and his two brothers were still standing at the entrance of the farm, seemingly discussing something. After a while, Huang Ziqiang turned and left, while Huang Ziying and Huang Zixiong headed straight for the small building by the farm.

Ye Qing hid behind a fence, waiting for Huang Ziqiang to walk away before quietly entering the breeding farm.

Inside the small building, Huang Fulin returned to his room, gasping for air, with a hoe over his shoulder. An old lady in her sixties with a simple appearance came out to greet him and couldn’t help but wonder, ”Old Huang, what happened to you? Weren’t you talking business? Why are you so out of breath?”

”Don’t even mention it!” Huang Fulin picked up a cup on the table and gulped down a lot of water, saying, ”I just found out that the person here to talk business is Li Lianshan, a local hoodlum from Shenchuan City. With such a person, how could he possibly conduct business with me in good faith?

I think, most likely, it’s those three bastards who have found someone to collude with them in order to trick me out of my land. There’s simply no need to talk with such people!”

Listening to this, the old lady sighed softly and said, ”Old Huang, if it really doesn’t work out, maybe we shouldn’t sell the land. This is your retirement fund. If you turn it into cash, those three sons of yours will definitely come to snatch it away. By then, there won’t be anything left!”

”You don’t need to worry about this!” Huang Fulin patted the old lady’s shoulder and said, ”Without selling the land, how are we going to raise the money for Xiao Bei’s surgery?”

The old lady’s eyes reddened, and she said tearfully, ”Old Huang, it’s my fault for dragging you down. If it weren’t for Xiao Bei’s sake, you... how would you have ended up like this? This piece of land is your lifeline!”

”What are you talking about!” said Huang Fulin. ”Didn’t we agree to raise Xiao Bei into adulthood together? Although Xiao Bei isn’t my biological granddaughter, I have always treated her as my own. How could I not care for her? Besides, I’m already old and don’t have many years left to live. Xiao Bei is still young.

If I can cure her illness, even if I die, I can rest in peace.”

The old lady cried even harder, whispering, ”This child is indeed pitiable, orphaned from a young age, and I, an old beggar, couldn’t possibly support her. If it hadn’t been for your kind heart to take us in, Old Huang, we would have probably died of starvation out there long ago. I was hoping for a stable life at last, but now she’s caught this strange disease.

I… I… Why couldn’t this disease have fallen upon me? I’m old already; even if I died now, I would be content as long as Xiao Bei could be well!”

”Don’t speak of such discouraging things!” Huang Fulin said. ”Xiao Bei’s illness will be cured, it must be cured. I heard there’s a Divine Doctor named Lin Tianyou in the city whose medical skills are extraordinary. Once we gather enough money, we’ll go to Divine Doctor Lin. He will surely be able to cure Xiao Bei!”

”Yes!” The old lady nodded tearfully, with a glimmer of hope kindled in her heart by the name Lin Tianyou.

Huang Fulin put down his cup and asked, ”By the way, how is Xiao Bei doing now?”

The old lady replied, ”She’s still the same, unconscious and breathing a bit heavily. I’ve put her on a respirator, and she’s a little better now.”

”That’s good,” Huang Fulin nodded and said, ”In the next few days, I’ll find someone reliable and quietly sell this land. With the money from the sale, not only can we cure Xiao Bei, but we can also buy her a house in the city. That way, we won’t have to worry about her future.”

The old lady looked at Huang Fulin and sincerely said, ”Old Huang, you really are a good person!”

”That’s true, my dad has been a good person for his entire life!”

An eerie voice suddenly came from the doorway, giving Huang Fulin and the old lady a start. They turned their heads to look, and Huang Ziying was leisurely walking in, with a hint of a mocking sneer on his face.

”You unfilial son, what are you doing here!” roared Huang Fulin, his hand reaching for the hoe nearby.

”Old Huang! Old Huang! Don’t be impulsive!” The old lady hurriedly pulled Huang Fulin back.

”Old man, keep your stuff to yourself. If I wanted to fight, I could crush you with one hand!” Huang Ziying sneered, ”I came here today to help you out. Old man, don’t be ungrateful!”

Huang Fulin retorted angrily, ”You... what help can you give me? You beast, it would be good if you don’t anger me to death!”

Huang Ziying glared and said, ”What, you don’t wish for Xiao Bei’s illness to be cured?”

Huang Fulin’s brows furrowed, ”That’s our business, none of your concern. Now get out!”

Huang Ziying laughed coldly, ”What kind of talk is that? I don’t need to worry about Xiao Bei’s business, alright. But regarding this breeding farm, how could I not care?”

”What does the breeding farm have to do with you!” Huang Fulin seethed with anger.

Huang Ziying laughed, ”Old man, after all, we’re father and son. This breeding farm is yours, so that means it’s also ours, the three brothers. If you die, it becomes an inheritance. According to the law, it should go to us three brothers!”

The old lady spoke earnestly, ”Ziying, how can you curse your own father!”

Huang Ziying shouted angrily, ”Old beggar lady, shut your mouth, or I’ll beat you if you speak again!”

The old lady shuddered with fright, while Huang Fulin flew into a rage, picking up a hoe from nearby and hurled it toward Huang Ziying.

Huang Ziying, a burly man, took a step forward, snatched the hoe straight out of Huang Fulin’s hand, and pushed Huang Fulin to the ground in the process.

Huang Ziying yelled, ”You undying old fart, I was speaking nicely to you to give you face. If we really fought, you think I wouldn’t skin you alive?”

The old lady hurried over to help Huang Fulin up, anxiously saying, ”Old Huang! Old Huang! Are you alright? Don’t scare me!”

Huang Fulin was so furious his eyes rolled back, shaking all over, unable to utter a word.

”Huang Ziying, how can you hit your own father!” The old lady glared at Huang Ziying in anger.

”Hit him? I’d fucking kill you too!” As he spoke, Huang Ziying kicked the old lady to the ground, where her head hit the corner of the wall, immediately bleeding profusely.

”You unfilial son, I’m going to fight you!” Huang Fulin roared, threw himself at Huang Ziying’s feet, and bit fiercely into Huang Ziying’s thigh.

In pain, Huang Ziying’s ferocity erupted, he grabbed Huang Fulin by the neck and flung him aside, then kicked him hard in the chest, almost knocking Huang Fulin into unconsciousness.

”Old thing, you think you can fight me? Do you even have the capital for that? I’m really afraid I might hit too hard and accidentally kill you!” Huang Ziying pulled over a chair and sat down, saying, ”Both of you save it, I can easily kill the two of you by myself if we fight again. I didn’t come here to brawl with you, so listen up clearly!”

Huang Ziying cleared his throat and continued, ”I’ve already contacted a big boss to buy your breeding farm. The price has been settled. Old man, you just need to sign here, and the farm is sold. Once the paperwork is done, I’ll give you a hundred thousand for the old beggar lady’s granddaughter’s medical treatment. How about that? Am I not kind?”

”Bullshit!” Huang Fulin shouted, ”This is my land; whether to sell it is my decision. Even if sold, the money is mine, what’s it got to do with you!”

Huang Ziying said, ”Old man, listen up. This land is the inheritance you’re leaving for us three brothers, so it’s only right for us to take it back ahead of time. If you don’t agree, then maybe you should just die earlier and let us get the inheritance sooner. The inheritance is meant for us, so however we deal with it is our business.

Giving you a hundred thousand is already generous, keep blathering and see if I give you a single cent!”

”You... go ahead and kill me...” Huang Fulin roared, ”I will absolutely not sell the land, I will never sign it over. I would rather give this land to a stranger than leave even a speck of dirt to you three!”

”Not sign?” Huang Ziying sneered, ”I’m afraid it’s not up to you!”

Huang Fulin bellowed, ”Even if you kill me, I will absolutely not sign!”

”I won’t kill you; you are my dear father, how could I bear to kill you?” Huang Ziying sneered cruelly as he turned to the old lady, ”However, that precious granddaughter of yours might not be so lucky!”

Huang Fulin and the old lady’s faces drained of color. The old lady scrambled to her feet, pleading urgently, ”You... don’t do anything to Xiao Bei...”

Huang Fulin roared furiously, ”If you dare to harm a hair on Xiao Bei’s head, I won’t let you off even if it costs me my life!”

Huang Ziying scoffed, ”Don’t talk big. Perhaps you should go see if your precious little darling is still in her room!”

Huang Fulin and the old lady’s faces went pale, and after exchanging a glance, the old lady hurriedly ran to the back room. Moments later, she stumbled back, crying out, ”Old Huang, Xiao Bei... Xiao Bei is gone...”

”What?” Huang Fulin paled, stood up with a start, and rushed to the back. Soon after, Huang Fulin rushed back to the front, hair bristling with fury, and lunged toward Huang Ziying.

”You beast, what have you done with Xiao Bei! Give Xiao Bei back to me!”

As Huang Fulin screamed, not yet reaching Huang Ziying, he was kicked back by Huang Ziying.

”Undying old man, you’d best calm down!” Huang Ziying sneered at Huang Fulin, saying, ”As for Xiao Bei, I’ve sent her to a fun place, very close to the sea, so close that it’s quite easy to fall into the water. But as long as you’re willing to sign over the land in good faith, I guarantee Xiao Bei won’t fall into the sea, hehehe...”
