Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Wu Xinghuai and Ye Qing fight together, Wu Xinghuai’s disciples couldn’t help but get excited.

Everyone was well aware of the strength of Master Wu Xinghuai. He seldom lost. When fighting Black Bear earlier, Black Bear mainly won due to his overpowering physique, and everyone was actually quite dissatisfied. Now that Wu Xinghuai was fighting Ye Qing, everyone naturally had full confidence, hoping Wu Xinghuai could regain some face!

Wu Xinghuai himself thought the same. Fighting against Ye Qing, he continuously used various techniques from Xingyi Quan, wishing he could knock Ye Qing down with just a few punches and kicks.

After fighting Wu Xinghuai for a while, Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brows. He had seen Wu Xinghuai’s boxing style before, similar to that of the short bodyguard by Lin Zhen Nan’s side. However, Wu Xinghuai’s moves were far inferior. The short bodyguard’s punches exploded like thunder, stomping the ground with each strike, his immense power almost seeming to shake the ground itself.

Wu Xinghuai also stomped his feet, but when his feet hit the ground, other than a slapping sound, there was no other effect. There was none of the soul-shaking momentum typical of Xingyi Quan.

After exchanging a few techniques with him, Ye Qing could tell that Wu Xinghuai merely had the form of Xingyi Quan but lacked true expertise, a world apart from the short bodyguard. Ye Qing didn’t hold back, catching an opening, and his right elbow forcefully struck Wu Xinghuai’s chest, sending him flying back until he hit the courtyard wall where he slowly slid down.

Barely managing to stand, he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, injured much more seriously than the punch Black Bear had received.

Wu Xinghuai’s disciples suddenly froze. They had thought their master was incredibly powerful and would surely defeat Ye Qing decisively. Unexpectedly, within less than two minutes of fighting, Wu Xinghuai was so effortlessly defeated by Ye Qing, leaving everyone in shock.

Ye Qing glanced at Wu Xinghuai, turned his head to go after Ding Shaoyan, but was shocked to discover that Ding Shaoyan had disappeared. Ye Qing’s expression changed, and he rushed outside. Just as he reached the entrance of the courtyard, he heard the roaring sound of a motorcycle, and a sports car sped away—it was Ding Shaoyan’s car.

It turned out that as soon as Ye Qing had started fighting Wu Xinghuai, Ding Shaoyan felt things were going awry and had quietly slipped away while no one was paying attention. This move indeed saved his own life, as Ye Qing didn’t even have a chance to chase him, and could only watch helplessly as he drove away.

”Ding Shaoyan, I want to see where you can run to!” Ye gritted his teeth, looked at Wang Tiezhu who was nearly unconscious, and finally sighed, deciding to take Wang Tiezhu to the hospital first.

Wang Tiezhu had first been severely injured by Ding Shaoyan’s men, then forcibly fed some drugs by Ding Shaoyan. It was fortunate that Ye Qing used the Acupoint Seeking Technique to make him vomit most of the drugs, otherwise, he wouldn’t have lasted. Even so, it took a while at the hospital before he was pulled back from the brink of death.

During this process, Ye Qing stayed with Wang Tiezhu at the hospital. Around ten o’clock at night, Zhao Shilin, Zhao Chengshuang’s grandfather, hurried over after hearing about Wang Tiezhu’s condition.

The Zhao Family was indeed kind to Wang Tiezhu, but regarding his ordeal, they could only express their regrets. The power of the Ding Family was not something the Zhao Family could challenge.

Zhao Shilin sat by Wang Tiezhu’s bed for a while, then called Ye into an empty hospital room next door and directly asked, ”What do you plan to do about this?”

”Blood for blood!” Ye replied concisely.

Zhao Shilin shook his head decisively and said, ”You have the capability to confront the Fang Family, but you are not yet a match for the Ding Family!”

”It’s up to us to make a move!” Ye said, ”The actions they’ve taken must have consequences. We can’t just watch them do whatever they want because the Ding Family is powerful!”

”Young man, I heard from Cheng Shuang that you are a soldier,” Zhao Shilin looked at Ye and said, ”Having been on the battlefield, you should understand that war is about strategic planning. Acts of individual heroism can only complicate the overall situation. I admire your character—a man should not fear authority, and you should stand up for yourself.

You never backed down against the Lin family or Yang Shitao, even when you were wanted. You had no regrets. But now?”

Ye Qing slightly frowned; Zhao Shilin was putting into words what he had been considering all along. Previously, he could seek revenge recklessly, doing what he desired, because he had nothing to lose. But now, things were different—he was responsible for over a hundred children, needing to build a private orphanage to care for them.

What would happen to these children if he found himself in trouble while acting recklessly as before?

Seeing Ye Qing fall silent, Zhao Shilin patted his shoulder and said, ”There’s a saying, ’A gentleman’s revenge can wait ten years.’ Ye Qing, your wings are not yet strong, lacking the ability to turn the tide in Shenchuan City. So, some things should not be rushed.

If you are to fight the Ding Family, you need someone capable of covering the sky with one hand in the Eastern Province to back you up!”

Ye Qing looked at Zhao Shilin, knowing he said this for his best interest. Yet, where could he find someone who could wield such power across the entire Eastern Province to support him?

Zhao Shilin looked at Ye Qing, but his mind was on the phone call that had come from the province after Ye Qing was taken away by the police station in North City District. That call was personally made by Liu Changping, the Director of the Provincial Department, and only he had the authority to order the release of Ye Qing.

Even now, Zhao Shilin did not know what relationship Ye Qing had with Liu Changping, only hearing vaguely that Liu Changping had handled the matter at the request of a friend.

Anyone who could influence Liu Changping was certainly no ordinary person. If Ye Qing had such a person backing him, why would he be on the wanted list by the Lin family? To tell the truth, Zhao Shilin didn’t know whether Ye Qing had a powerful background or not. However, his implication was clear—if you have a background, you can seek revenge whenever you wish. If not, you better wait.

Actually, both Ye Qing and Zhao Shilin didn’t know. The call from the provincial department was actually based on the number Green Wolf had given to Ye Qing, dialed by Old Wang Ba, which had saved Ye Qing’s life. Even Ye Qing himself didn’t know who was on the other end of the phone, nor did he know what kind of power that phone call could summon!

That night, Ye Qing’s mind was full of contradictions. He really didn’t want to let Shao Yan off, but he knew his current strength was no match for a direct confrontation with the Ding family. Plus, if he fell, the children would be doomed too.

After much thought, Ye Qing finally decided to follow Zhao Shilin’s advice that a gentleman’s revenge is not too late, even after ten years. No matter what, he had to stabilize his own position first before he could qualify to take revenge on others!

The next day, Li Lianshan sent over a dozen vehicles to help the children move. He himself went to the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena, where Liu Yuan contacted him, and he had set the meeting point there. This excited Liu Yuan because going directly to the site suggested that Li Lianshan was essentially willing to hand over the project to him.

When Ye Qing and his group arrived at the Eryao Town breeding farm, the place had already transformed. The old building where Huang Fulin lived seemed as if it had been washed, now sparkling anew. Every room above had been cleared out with new furniture installed; each small room was arranged warmly enough for the children to live in.

Da Fei, leading over twenty of his men, was energetically moving old furniture outside. Seeing Ye Qing arrive, Da Fei immediately threw an old sofa to the ground, wiped his sweat with the towel hanging around his neck, and hurried over.

”Ye, you’ve arrived!” Da Fei bowed and nodded, now seeing Ye Qing almost like a reborn parent since he had received profound benefits from him.

Ye Qing glanced at Da Fei and couldn’t help but laugh. Da Fei had cut off his long hair and now sported a flat-top, looking much neater. However, compared to his former appearance, it was indeed a surprising change. All that flowing long hair was gone in one night?

Seeing Ye Qing laughing, Da Fei immediately understood what he was laughing at and scratched his head awkwardly, saying, ”It’s really inconvenient to work with long hair, so I got it cut. But you know, after I cut it, it felt a lot cooler immediately. And, my brothers also say I look much sharper. Ye, what do you think of my look now?”

”Not bad!” Ye Qing nodded, genuinely complimenting him.

”Really?” Da Fei, excited, said, ”With that word from you, Ye, I’ll stick with this hairstyle from now on!”

Then, looking at the children behind Ye Qing, Da Fei asked, ”Ye, are these the children you mentioned?”

”Yes, starting today, they’ll be living here,” Ye Qing replied. ”These children are all very unfortunate, Da Fei, so make sure you take good care of them.”

”Don’t worry, Ye!” Da Fei waved his hand, saying, ”Brothers, come on, let’s help these cute kids move into their new home!”

The group of twenty-some people, who had been carrying old furniture, immediately came over, bustlingly carrying the children’s belongings upstairs.

Huang Fulin was standing downstairs, directing people on where to place furniture and noticed them only when Ye Qing ran downstairs.

”Boss Ye, you’ve arrived!” Huang Fulin’s attitude towards Ye Qing was very good, and seeing the children behind him, he was even more delighted because it confirmed that Ye Qing was indeed setting up an orphanage to do something for the children.

”Boss Huang, these are the children, and from today onwards, I’m afraid they’ll be your responsibility!” Ye Qing smiled gently, then turned to the children, ”Kids, call him Grandpa!”

”Grandpa!” The group of children shouted in unison, their youthful voices making Huang Fulin’s eyes moisten as he hugged the two children at the front, saying, ”Dear, dear. Grandpa’s home is now your home, and you all don’t have to wander anymore!”
