Urban Martial Saint

Li Lianshan eyed Ye Qing next to him, and seeing that he remained silent, he whispered, ”Ye Zi, do you think you can manage to invite Huangfu Ziyu?”

Ye Qing still didn’t speak, his relationship with Huangfu Ziyu was peculiar. The reason Huangfu Ziyu helped him was because he answered several of her questions. Moreover, Huangfu Ziyu mentioned that she and Ye Qing might not necessarily be friends in the future, they might even become enemies.

Because a battle between him and Huangfu Ziyu was inevitable, but even Ye Qing didn’t know why he must fight Huangfu Ziyu.

With such a relationship, if Ye Qing sent her an invitation, would she grace Shenchuan City with her presence?

”Actually, I think a lot of things still need to be tried out. How about we send her an invitation another day,” Li Lianshan said. ”It’s also a matter of courtesy. Whether or not she comes is up to her, but at least she will know that you care, right?”

Ye Qing thought for a moment then suddenly said, ”Why does that sound so awkward to me? What do you mean I care about her?”

Li Lianshan chuckled, ”Don’t overthink it, I just said it in passing. You know what I mean.”

Ye Qing looked at Li Lianshan’s sleazy face and mentally flipped him off. This guy, in such matters, was just like Zhao Chengshuang.

”Let’s not talk about that for now,” Li Lianshan said, looking towards the distant farm. ”What about this farm then? Should we have Chengshuang talk to him?”

”Chengshuang has a meeting in the province today, he probably won’t have time to come,” Ye Qing paused, then added, ”Even if we let Chengshuang talk, I’m afraid it won’t be very useful. Haven’t you realized? The old man mainly wants to fend you off!”

Li Lianshan exclaimed, ”Damn, what does that have to do with me? It’s my first time meeting him, why would he be wary of me?”

Ye Qing said softly, ”I guess it has to do with his kids, inseparably so!”

”What do we do then?” Li Lianshan asked, but suddenly a flattering voice came from behind, ”This must be Boss Li, Li Lianshan!”

Li Lianshan turned around, only to see three men approaching from a distance. The three men had sheepish grins, but the fierce look in their eyes suggested that they were no saints.

Li Lianshan was no saint either, and didn’t take these three seriously, giving them a quick glance, he asked, ”You know me?”

The leader of the men smiled, ”Boss Li’s reputation in Shenchuan City is renowned, we’ve long heard of Boss Li’s name. We just didn’t expect that Boss Li in person would be so noble and imposing!”

Li Lianshan said, ”Cut the crap, I hate flattery the most. What do you want?”

”Hehe...” The man chuckled, then said, ”Boss Li, my name is Huang Ziying, and these two are my brothers, Huang Zixiong and Huang Ziqiang. Huang Fulin is our father!”

”Oh, so you are the three unfilial sons that Old Huang mentioned!” Li Lianshan glared, ”Bastard, I despise unfilial people the most in my life. You three dare to face me, do you want a beating?”

The three were visibly embarrassed, Huang Ziying hurriedly said, ”Boss Li, please don’t be angry, we are here to help you!”

”Help me with what?” demanded Li Lianshan.

”Boss Li, I know you want to buy this farm. Honestly, such a big piece of land is hard to come by in the whole of Shenchuan City now!” Huang Ziying explained, ”Although our town is underdeveloped, with the rate of development in Shenchuan City, it won’t be long before it extends here.

When that happens, this plot of land will be enough for you to develop a housing complex, projects worth a few billion yuan are definitely no problem. Boss Li, you really have a far-reaching vision!”

Li Lianshan almost spat blood in anger, cursing, ”Fuck your ancestors, when the hell did I say I wanted to build a housing complex!”

”You’re not building a housing complex?” Huang Ziying was taken aback. He exchanged glances with his brothers, scratched his head, and said, ”Then… perhaps Boss Li, you mean to build a private club here? Ah, that explains it. They say Boss Li is a big businessman indeed. You do have the vision. What does building a housing complex amount to?

It’s sold and that’s it. But a private club is different. I heard Qingyu Pavilion makes several billions a year. Boss Li, if you build a club here similar to Qingyu Pavilion, you’ll have a huge income each year, much better than building a housing complex. Boss Li, I really admire your business acumen!”

”Your mother’s fucker, when did I say I wanted to build a private club!” Li Lianshan cursed wildly, and had Ye Qing not held him back, he might have started hitting people.

”Not building a housing complex, not building a club, then what do you want this land for?” Huang Ziying smiled, mockingly said, ”Boss Li, don’t tell me you’re seeing our town’s people as poor and specially came here to aid poverty?”

”This time you’re somewhat right, I’m indeed here to do a good deed,” Li Lianshan said. ”I won’t lie to you guys, I bought this land to build a private orphanage here!”

”An orphanage?” Huang Zixiong was stunned.

”And it’s private?” Huang Ziqiang was also visibly shocked.

”How… how would that be profitable?” Huang Ziying was still hung up on money.

Li Lianshan angrily said, ”Profit your grandpa, can’t I just do a good deed?”

”Er…” The three brothers exchanged glances again, their expressions evidently skeptical of Li Lianshan’s words. Doing a good deed, was he still one of the leading figures of Shenchuan City’s underground forces?

”Boss Li, let’s skip the nonsense,” Huang Ziying waved his hand, ”Regardless of what you want to do with this land, the fact is, you want it, right?”

Li Lianshan said in a deep voice, ”What are you trying to say?”

Huang Ziying: ”We can help you acquire this land, but we have a condition too!”

”What condition?” Li Lianshan asked curiously.

”Hehehe...” Huang Ziying chuckled and said, ”The money, you’ve got to give it to us!”

”Huh?” Li Lianshan was stunned, about to speak when Ye Qing pulled him back.

”This land belongs to Elder Huang, and you say you can just take it?” Ye Qingqi questioned.

”Who is this?” Huang Ziying asked Li Lianshan.

”Ye Qing, Boss Ye, he’s the one buying this land!” Li Lianshan said, ”If you want money, talk to him, talking to me is useless!”

”Oh, so it’s Boss Ye, what a pleasure to meet you!” Huang Ziying suddenly became excited and thrilled, reaching out to shake hands with Ye Qing. However, Ye Qing had no intention of extending his hand, and Huang Ziying had to reluctantly withdraw his.

Huang Ziying coughed to cover up the embarrassment on his face, and said, ”Boss Ye, Huang Fulin is notoriously stubborn. Originally, he was dead set against selling this land. But do you know why he’s willing to sell it this time?”

By speaking so blatantly about his own father, Huang Ziying really showed no respect. Li Lianshan frowned; if not for wanting to cooperate with Ye Qing, he would have beaten these three up long ago.

”Isn’t it because he’s old, in poor health, and can’t manage this farm anymore, so he wants to sell?” Ye Qing said.

”Those are just excuses!” Huang Ziying shook his head, ”I’ll tell you the truth, he wants to sell the land because he urgently needs to cash out, he’s in dire need of money!”

”In dire need of money?” Ye Qing was surprised, ”With such a huge farm, can Elder Huang be short of money?”

”Err...” The expressions on the faces of Huang Ziying and his brothers turned awkward but seeing this, Ye Qing immediately understood what was going on. The farm’s income should be good, but with these three sons, even a good income from the farm isn’t enough for their extravagance.

”You don’t have to worry about that, he simply doesn’t have the money right now. However, he married an Old Beggar Lady who brought along a six-year-old child. The child has contracted a rare disease and urgently needs money for treatment; he had no choice but to sell the farm to get the money!” Huang Ziying said, looking furious and grinding his teeth as if he wanted to kill the Old Beggar Lady.

Ye Qing frowned slightly and said, ”How can you sell this farm to me?”

”Hehe...” Huang Ziying gave a cold laugh, ”Mr. Ye, let me be honest with you. As soon as he brought that Old Beggar Lady home, we brothers knew trouble was brewing. So, we took advantage of him going out for business once and stole all his land deeds and documents, leaving him a fake set. Mr. Ye, as long as you give us the money, we guarantee you can absolutely buy this land!”

Li Lianshan was furious, about to explode, but Ye Qing quietly gestured to him.

Ye Qing said, ”If it’s just the land deeds and documents without Elder Huang’s signature, you can’t actually sell the land to me, right?”

”Don’t worry!” Huang Ziying laughed loudly, ”As long as Mr. Ye is willing to give us the money, just leave this matter to us, there will be absolutely no problem.”

Ye Qing pondered for a while and said, ”Alright, but when can he come to sign?”

The Huang brothers were overjoyed, and Huang Ziying took a deep breath, excitedly saying, ”As long as you have the money ready, Mr. Ye, we can arrange it at any time!”

”How much money do you want?” Ye Qing asked.

”Ten million!” Huang Ziying stuttered a bit, this small town was too remote, and he himself was not sure if the land could sell for ten million.

”Okay!” Ye Qing nodded, ”An hour from now, we can bring ten million. Do you have any problem with that?”

”No problem at all!” Huang Ziying agreed immediately, ”Boss Ye, once you’ve gathered the money, just come straight to this farm to find us. Don’t worry, by then Elder Huang will definitely sign the document!”

Ye Qing nodded his head and immediately left with Li Lianshan.

”Damn it, Ye Zi, you’re really going along with their dirty schemes?” Li Lianshan said as they got into the car, unable to hold back, ”These three Bastards are clearly contemplating some disgraceful plan; how can you partake in such a despicable act with them?”

Ye Qing glanced at Li Lianshan and said, ”If we don’t act a bit disgracefully, how are we supposed to help Elder Huang retrieve his land deeds and documents?”
