My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1954: Chapter 1748: Go Away

What people search for in life is not always what they most desire, but rather what occupies their inner world.

Two weeks have gone by in the blink of an eye. During these two excruciating weeks, they’ve lived each day in agony, with no one reaching out to anyone else. They felt that no matter who they contacted, it would lead to no good outcome. Why should they humble themselves only to be looked down upon by others, viewed as weak and incompetent?

This afternoon, Zhang Ni shouted at his mother, which was discovered by his father. Unable to bear it any longer, his father struck him once again. Zhang Ni glared at his father resentfully several times; his father was shocked to realize his son could harbor such hatred towards him.

”Nai’er, didn’t Dad tell you that no matter what happens, you shouldn’t shout at your elders, especially not at your mom? How could you do this today? Don’t you know that every time you shout at your mom, she feels very sad? Because when you shout and yell, you don’t see your mom as your elder. Do you think your mom wouldn’t feel hurt? You are such an understanding child, how could you not grasp this simple truth? Dad already told you that you have to understand this because every time you shout, it hurts the people who love you. Doing this only makes others more and more upset; you’ll never really understand how painful it is to be hurt by someone. Do you know why? It’s because she’s your mom; she endures the pain you’ve inflicted on her over and over again, but she’s not a saint. She can’t remain indifferent time and again while her own son speaks these words to her. Do you think her heart doesn’t ache? I know she’ll never lay a hand on you because you’re her most treasured son. But precisely because of this, you should cherish your mom even more, shouldn’t you? How can you hurt her, hurt the heart that loves you so deeply, time and time again?” Zhang Yichen couldn’t tolerate anyone yelling at his own wife, not even his son. He cared so much about these details and only wished that his own son could treat his wife well. But why must even his own son treat his wife this way? What do I have to do in this world to make my son have a bit of conscience?

”Dad, I didn’t mean to do it. I didn’t intentionally want to shout at Mom. I just got a little upset by what she said, and suddenly I was shouting louder. Dad, I hope you won’t be mad at me; adults shouldn’t hold grudges against kids. I know it makes you uncomfortable when I shout at Mom, but I also hope you can understand that I didn’t do it on purpose. Who doesn’t lose control of their emotions at times? Actually, I did it just hoping Mom would stop talking about me. When she keeps saying it, it makes my heart uncomfortable too! I’m also a person. Even though I’m just a child, I also know sadness and heartache. I know every word Mom says is for my good, but who doesn’t rebel at times? When the same words are said over and over by my ear, it’s hard not to feel uncomfortable. Many things only need to be said once, but she repeats it one, two, three times, which makes me anxious and uneasy. Dad, I know what I did today went too far and really hurt Mom’s feelings. I don’t know how to make you stop being angry, but I hope you’ll believe that I’ll go apologize to Mom. I hope you can understand that as her son, I just want our family to live the life we desire happily.”

”Yichen, come on now, it’s not such a big deal. Why be so harsh on the kid? Who doesn’t make mistakes? As long as he can learn from them and recognize his errors, that’s enough. Being so strict will make him feel pressured. Every child needs some space. We should let the child live the life he wants happily and freely. If we keep holding him too tightly, he’ll feel restless inside. Many times, giving him a little freedom to relax might prevent things from getting so bad. We’ve all been through this stage ourselves. Who wasn’t playful as a child? Even though everyone’s childhood experience is different, why should we let our children face the same hardships we did? If they can play happily, let’s not make them endure the pain we once went through!” Ran Zhihan couldn’t understand why Zhang Yichen was scolding his son so harshly over this. Even if their son spoke a bit loudly, who doesn’t make mistakes at times? Shouldn’t everyone have a chance to correct their mistakes, as long as they recognize they’re wrong?

”Dad, please don’t be mad. Look, Mom already came out to plead for me, so why don’t you even listen to Mom now? Do you want to make her sad again? I know you love Mom deeply. If you love her so much, you should treat her well without letting my issue harm your relationship with her. Mom, I know I was wrong this time. I won’t do it again. Thank you for pleading for me today with Dad. I know you still love me deep down, but I really went too far today. How could I yell and shout at you over such a trivial thing? You love me so much; you wish you could give me the best in the world, yet I treated you like this. I’m simply an ungrateful son. Mom, I hope you can forgive me and not be mad at me. If your heart can’t be happy, I can let you hit me!”

How could Ran Zhihan bear to hit her precious son? This child is the one she brought into this world through so much hardship. She’s done so much to bring him safely into this world, and now her son is asking her to hit him. How could she bring herself to do it? Besides, this is her most treasured son, the crystallization of the love between her and the one she loves most.

Life is so tough, not everything goes smoothly, with painful struggles and the determination never to give up!
