Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 387: Chapter 252: Intimidation (Part 2)

If Xiao Mi had taken it out earlier, she wouldn’t have been so afraid.

”It was in confinement before. When we first moved, it was already one month pregnant. After giving birth to the puppies, it was in confinement for another month. These two months, it was almost always at home.”

Even if it occasionally went out with her, it wouldn’t go to the village, so of course Xiao Cao didn’t know.

The two little sisters just started playing together like that, not in a hurry to find that fragrant herb.

”You guys...”

Zhang An, standing beside them, finally came back to his senses, stood up straight, opened his mouth but then closed it again.

Because Wei Ziang waved the rabbit in his hand in front of him.

The rabbit was bloodied, its throat bitten through, its fur stained red with blood, dripping onto the ground, forming a large puddle.

Zhang An flinched. He hadn’t forgotten how easily Xiao Hei bit through the rabbit’s throat, just like they normally eat sweet potatoes.

Wei Ziang smirked slightly, looking very pleased, then ignored him, quietly listening to Xiao Mi and Xiao Cao talking about Xiao Hei.

After a while, Xiao Cao was the first to react: ”Ah! We should hurry to find the fragrant herb, it’s just ahead, we’re almost there.”

Just like she had said before, they knew very well where it was and wasn’t, as they often went up the mountain to find it.

After walking another dozen meters with Xiao Mi, Xiao Cao exclaimed joyfully: ”Found it! Xiao Mi, look here, so much of it. It’s this one, when you make tea with this at home, it’s really delicious.”

Xiao Mi also saw it—a small cluster of plants, different from the surrounding grass. This one was mint-like, with elliptical leaves, over a foot tall stems, and small pale purple flowers on top.

Xiao Cao broke off a piece and put it under Xiao Cao’s nose: ”Smell it, isn’t it fragrant? Drinking this in the summer keeps you from getting heat stroke.”

Even before getting close, Xiao Mi could smell it. When it was put under her nose, she took a deep breath.

”It really is fragrant, what a pleasant smell. Brother, try it, such a strong aroma, yet not overwhelming at all.”

As she spoke, she already had the fragrant herb in front of Wei Ziang’s nose.

Wei Ziang took it and sniffed it, examining it carefully.

”This seems to be oregano, indeed an herb. It can treat heat stroke, headaches, body aches, abdominal pain, nausea, and also chest congestion, dietary blockage, child indigestion, abdominal distension, and diarrhea, all of these.”

All in all, it’s a very good and valuable herb.

Listening to his list, both Xiao Mi and Xiao Cao were mesmerized.

”Brother, how do you know so much?”

Wei Ziang smiled slightly: ”Our teacher has books introducing herbs. I happened to read about this one.”

He pinched the fragrant herb in his hand: ”But this isn’t found everywhere. They prefer warm and humid climates, so they only grow in mountainous areas.”

Xiao Cao asked excitedly: ”Brother Wei, is this worth a lot?”

After all, herbs are usually very expensive.

There are plenty of fragrant herbs in the surrounding mountains, if they could be sold for money...

Wei Ziang shook his head: ”As long as it’s herbal, pharmacies will usually buy it. As for the price, I don’t know.”

Xiao Mi patted Xiao Cao’s shoulder: ”It’s okay. Anyway, my big brother and his friends go to town every day. If you trust us, let my brother take it to the pharmacy tomorrow to inquire.”

”Really? That’s great, I trust you. Of course, I trust you. Your family doesn’t need this little money, and you’re not going to pocket it, right?”

Xiao Cao was ecstatic. If this worked out, it would be another way to earn money. The fragrant herb could grow until autumn!

And if Xiao Mi’s big brother could help, she could even save on the cost of going to town.

Then Xiao Cao began happily teaching Xiao Mi how to harvest the fragrant herb, not to pull it out by the roots; otherwise, it might not grow next year.

You only need to break off the mature branches, as long as your elbow, gently snapping them.

Xiao Cao: ”Leave these little buds, they can continue growing, and we can harvest again next month.”

”You’re right, if you uproot them, they’ll be gone afterwards.”

”Oh by the way, Xiao Mi, this one has been growing for two or three years, scattered seeds by the wind, generally there should be more around here, let’s search carefully.”

Even if not every seed takes root and sprouts, there will always be some that successfully root, so generally speaking, if you find one, there will certainly be more around.
