Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 352: Chapter 240: Looking for Her 3

Doesn’t Xiaomi have her own supplies too, and so many of them? Almost every month, Ling’er tidies up ten or so chickens, ducks, and geese, then stores them away.

It’s not just chicken meat or duck meat; even feathers, Ling’er has accumulated a lot.

These meats, besides Xiaomi secretly taking some out and swapping them with what the family eats, are hardly consumed otherwise.

So when it comes to food and drink, for Xiaomi, it’s not a problem at all, and she naturally won’t be stingy with Xiao Hei.

Moreover, compared to before, Xiao Hei and Xiao Mi frequently followed her up and down the mountains and even spent over half a year living in the space. Xiaomi has long regarded them as her closest companions.

Just as she thought of Xiao Mi, Xiao Mi tiptoed in slowly from outside.

With a ’meow’, Xiaomi understood and fed it a chicken leg too. Xiao Mi bit into the chicken leg, jumped onto the roof beam, and then leisurely started eating.

Xiao Hei was straightforward, gobbling up the chicken leg in no time, leaving only a bone that Xiaomi collected to throw into the latrine later.

The three puppies closed their eyes, continuously making sucking sounds, drinking milk voraciously. Although Xiao Hei was a first-time mom, she was very responsible; after filling her belly, she licked the puppies.

The puppies were still too young, needing their mom’s help to clean off the dirt on their bodies. Some puppies had a bit of dried amniotic fluid sticking their fur together, requiring mom to lick them clean.

Xiaomi watched the interaction between Xiao Hei and the three babies for a while before feeling content and leaving.

Now there are four puppies at home. When the puppies are a month old, Xiao Hei can continue to accompany her up the mountain, and at that time, there will be puppies at home to guard it too.

”Xiaomi, there’s a kid outside looking for you.” Just as she walked to the front yard, ready to enter the house, Er Niang returned from the front.

Xiaomi turned her steps: ”A kid looking for me? What for?”

She looked puzzled, completely unaware.

”You don’t know him, so why does he say he knows you?” Er Niang, originally going to the kitchen to get something, turned her steps directly and followed her.

Xiaomi shook her head. She didn’t know anyone in the village, so why was someone looking for her?

The front gate wasn’t closed, and as soon as Xiaomi reached the front yard, she saw the person at the door.

”Isn’t he the village chief’s kid? What does he want with me?”

Isn’t that Zhang An?

”Xiaomi, you know him?” Er Niang breathed a sigh of relief, glad he wasn’t someone who tricks kids.

”I think he’s called Zhang An. We met when digging bamboo shoots before, but haven’t seen him since.”

As they spoke, they arrived at the door, and Xiaomi didn’t go out but stood inside the threshold: ”What do you want with me?”

It was unfamiliar and unfamiliar, apart from meeting him when digging bamboo shoots last time, she’d never seen him since.

But Zhang An seemed a bit nervous. After hesitating a bit, he still asked: ”Miss Xiaomi, are you going to dig bamboo shoots again? The weather is good today, shall we go dig bamboo shoots together?”

Xiaomi paused, her gaze moved backward and saw a few kids standing at some distance, waiting for Zhang An.

The instinct was to refuse, but when she was about to speak, she paused and turned to her mother: ”Mother? Can I go to the mountains for a walk?”

Er Niang hesitated a bit: ”Don’t go too far, come back soon.”

She had seen these kids in the village many times, almost every day they went to the mountains and often passed by their house.

It’s just that both she and Jiang Hu were not the kind of naturally sociable people. They’ve been in Xiangmu Village for so long and apart from Jiang Hu’s visit to the village chief’s house at the beginning to get acquainted, they’d been busy with their own affairs.

So, although they had seen these kids many times, it was only limited to knowing they were from the village.

But since they were from the same village, it was comforting. Since they weren’t people who deceive kids, going early and coming back early wouldn’t be dangerous. ℯℯ𝑙.

Besides, her child had been cooped up at home for days, feeling a bit stifled, not stepping out every day, probably long wanting to go out and play.

Indeed, Er Niang guessed right; Xiaomi wanted to join because she had stayed at home too long.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t go up the mountain alone, and Zhang An came to find her just in time, naturally wanting to go out for a walk.

”Alright then, Zhang An, wait a bit; I’ll go get something.”

Xiaomi hurried back to the woodshed; her little basket was there, and the small hoe too.

But upon entering the woodshed, Xiaomi’s first reaction was to sit against the wall, eyes closed, and after three seconds, got up, taking her little basket and small hoe.

Zhang An was waiting at the gate and took Xiaomi to join the other little buddies once she came out.

As they got closer, indeed, they saw a few other little buddies, some indifferent, some unhappy.

Xiaomi wasn’t surprised at all, casually taking out a handful of small brown pellets from her pocket.

”Hello, my name is Xiaomi. Please try these beef bits, they’re tasty.”

Yes, including her, there were seven kids total, just enough for seven beef bits.

Indeed, those few seconds spent in the woodshed were for entering the space, where Ling’er helped her peel a handful of beef bits.
