Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 339: Chapter 236: Boredom

This way, when the puppies make a sound, there’s no need to worry about them being too prickly.

The doghouse is still in the woodshed, which can shelter from wind and rain, and there’s a window open for ventilation. To make it convenient for Xiao Hei to come and go, the door is kept open all day long.

But at the moment, Xiao Hei is lying next to Xiao Mi, licking its fur, listening to Xiao Mi mumbling about not being able to go to the mountains.

”Still want to go up the mountain to play, huh.” Liu Bo’s voice came from behind.

Xiao Mi turned around in surprise, ”Grandpa Liu, you’re back!”

Liu Bo held a small stool in his hand, placed it opposite Xiao Mi, and joined him in peeling bamboo shoots.

”I figured you’d be bored, so I wandered around and came back to chat with you.” Liu Bo chuckled, ”By the way, where’s your sister? Still feeding the chickens?”

As long as it doesn’t rain, after breakfast, Liu Bo will definitely take a walk around the village, sometimes helping with chores, sometimes chatting with the villagers.

From when he used to be in Fu’an Village, Liu Bo has always had this habit.

”Yeah, she even said I’m not healthy and won’t let me help,” said Xiao Mi, pouting, ”What nonsense, I’m as strong as an ox, where am I unhealthy!”

Liu Bo was amused by Xiao Mi’s words, ”What girl says she’s as strong as an ox? If your mother hears this, she’s going to tell you off again.”

Er Niang still wants Xiao Mi to be a bit more ladylike, but evidently, it hasn’t had much effect, basically giving up. However, when she hears something like this, she’ll definitely give her a few words.

Xiao Mi shrugged, indifferent, she wasn’t as fragile as her parents thought, but this matter is hard to explain.

Liu Bo saw through this, smiled and shook his head, and then explained, ”You see, last time you scared your parents badly. It’s not likely they’ll let you go out easily by yourself for a while.”

Xiao Mi let out a long sigh, her face full of dismay.

Looking at her little grown-up appearance, Liu Bo didn’t know what to say.

As an elder, he also felt that Jiang Hu and Er Niang’s worries were completely justified.

After all, Xiao Mi is still young, and a girl at that. Where have you seen girls running around all day?

It’s just that Xiao Mi was always different from ordinary girls, so nobody thought it was bad before. It was only after she suddenly fainted this time that everyone realized.

Thankfully, she fainted on the mountain, with no one around.

If it were somewhere else, for a girl, such a cute girl suddenly fainting, it would be too easy for danger to come.

But because Xiao Mi is still young, it’s hard to explain too much about some things, so they can only reduce her chances of going out, especially going out alone.

However, Xiao Mi rarely feels this gloomy or down, which made Liu Bo feel a tinge of compassion.

So he said, ”By the way, Xiao Mi, your sister might go to town to learn embroidery in a few days. If you’re bored, you can go with her to learn. There are many girls your age at the embroidery workshop.”

Embroidery is a way for many girls to earn money, so the embroidery workshop is strict about accepting apprentices.

With Xiao Xue’s skills, there’s nothing to worry about.

But as for Xiao Mi, although she can’t embroider, asking the steward to speak to the embroidery workshop’s manager to let Xiao Mi pass the time is not difficult.

However, upon hearing this, Xiao Mi shook her head quickly, ”No way, I’m not cut out for embroidery. I’d rather go to the martial arts hall.”

It was only after arriving at the county town that she realized there were martial arts halls.

But there’s no Inner Strength or anything like that, it’s just about hand-to-hand combat skills, and there are dart master places too.

Back in Fu’an Village, no one had ever heard of these things.

Liu Bo shook his head, ”There’s no girl who goes to martial arts halls.”

This, even if Xiao Mi wants to, is not doable. Martial arts halls are all men; how could a girl be sent to such places?

Xiao Mi shrugged, unsurprised and not disappointed.

But, a thought suddenly popped into her mind.

If she remembered correctly, there should be some books on grappling and Fighting Skills in her space, right?

Why not study them?

As soon as this thought emerged, she couldn’t help but feel eager. If Grandpa Liu wasn’t beside her, and if the bamboo shoots hadn’t been finished, she would’ve loved to take those books out and study them!

Liu Bo looked at Xiao Mi strangely, wondering how the child could change her expression so quickly.

She was just sulking, and now she was suddenly excited?

Could it be that she’s sick again?

Liu Bo pondered, maybe he should tell Jiang Hu, and have them take the child to the clinic again tomorrow to check?
