Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 322: Chapter 239: Lady Liu (Part 3)

So they never thought the two girls at home could also buy some hairpins and such.

The three women in the family only had one thing a girl should have, which seemed to be the bronze mirror that the eldest son had previously bought for them.

The things Madam Liu sent over reminded her that the family was not as it used to be, no longer so strapped, and indeed, the two sisters appeared too plain.

Thinking of Liu Ze’s sister whom she saw today, dressed in a pink dress, with a hair ornament swaying on her head, gently dangling earrings, and a pair of silver bracelets on her wrist, her every move was accompanied by a crisp jingling sound.

At the age of hairpins, a budding young girl, truly delightful to behold.

In contrast, their own two daughters, who were always praised as lovely and gentle girls back in the village, suddenly seemed less vibrant in front of the Liu family’s second Miss.

This wasn’t about looks, but about the aura and demeanor; there is indeed a stark difference between a village girl and a wealthy miss.

As the saying goes, clothes make the person, and the saddle makes the horse.

Moreover, the second Miss of the Liu family wasn’t particularly extravagant, yet she looked distinctly different.

All this pondering was running through her mind as she cooked dinner with Aunt Yang.

She was well-aware of her own family’s situation, naturally not foolish enough to compare her daughters to Liu Ze’s sister; that was completely out of the question.

However, within their means, she could indeed let her children look a bit prettier.

She couldn’t deny, the jewelry Madam Liu sent over was a wake-up call—her own daughters should have something to add to their appearance.

With these thoughts in mind, a simple dinner was ready.

Currently, the vegetables they ate were all bought from outside; the ones they planted hadn’t even sprouted yet, only the grains were ready to use.

If you really compare, naturally, it wouldn’t match the meals at Uncle Liu’s house, but it was apparent that Uncle Liu preferred the Jiang family’s simple fare, even eating half a bowl more of rice.

After the meal, she called Xiaoxue and Xiaomi to her room and took out the jewelry box Madam Liu had sent.

”Mom, when did you buy these? There are so many,” Xiaoxue exclaimed, her mouth wide open in surprise as she looked at the items in the jewelry box.

Earrings, hairpins, bracelets, each complete with a set of Silver’s, plus two beaded hairpins and two pairs of light pink pearl earrings!

All were in pairs! And all brand new!

Taking just one piece out would be enough for an ordinary family to live for a year or two!

Xiaomi was also in awe: ”Mom, are we so rich now?”

These were all brand new!

Mom truly is generous!

Xiaomi was thinking to herself, while her mother was amused and confused: ”No, these were sent by your Aunt Liu, that is, Xiao Ze’s mother prepared a set for each of you sisters.”

Today, everyone bought their little trinkets, so as soon as they got home, everyone went to their own rooms to organize their things, and the children didn’t know when she brought these home.

”Wow!” Xiaomi exclaimed in surprise and joy, ”Did Aunt give these to us?”

Xiaomi picked up a white beaded hairpin, examining it closely, suddenly feeling something wasn’t right.

”Second sister, doesn’t this look like a gardenia flower?”

Xiaomi handed the beaded hairpin to her second sister, then picked up another.

At first glance, it looked very similar, but upon closer inspection, you could notice slight differences.

There’s nothing left to misunderstand now.

Xiaoxue and her mom really didn’t get it, they were still examining it.

”It really does, Xiaomi, you have sharp eyes. This bead hairpin does resemble a gardenia flower.”

Xiaomi randomly stuck the remaining one in her hair: ”Second sister loves gardenias, so I’ll take this one, okay mom, does it look good?”

She said while deliberately shaking her head, showing off proudly.

”It looks good, looks good, Xiaomi looks good in anything,” her mother responded, smiling.

You have to admit, it was still the same nose and eyes, but with the adornment of the beaded hair, already cute Xiaomi seemed even more beautiful.

However, she still pulled Xiaomi over: ”Beaded flowers shouldn’t be stuck directly into hair like that, here, let me show you how, Xiaoxue, come here too, your Aunt Liu’s presents for you, take them back later...”

She knew only a little herself, but better than the two of them, carefully teaching how to use the beaded flowers to style hair, and put the bracelets on them.

The bracelets were two thin bangles, just the right size, and when worn on the same wrist, they made a crisp sound with each movement, very pleasant to listen to.

But neither had pierced ears, so the earrings would have to wait until after this busy period.

After giving her daughters new hairstyles, the beaded hairpins glimmered under the oil-lamp light, making them look even more beautiful.
