Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 320: Chapter 239: Lady Liu

Liu Ze’s parents are much older than Jiang Hu’s second aunt, appearing to be around forty years old.

Liu Ze’s father is very thin but looks energetic, wearing a dark blue robe, looking very capable, and is speaking with Jiang Hu.

Madam Liu is wearing a plain skirt but has a full figure and is chatting happily with the second aunt in the courtyard under the sun.

Beside them sits a girl about fourteen or fifteen, with a slight resemblance to Liu Ze; she should be Liu Ze’s sister.

In the courtyard, there are also two older women with a little child accompanying them, walking back and forth.

Seeing the children return, Madam Liu hurriedly waved her hand: ”Ze’er, come here quickly. Second aunt, are these all your children? This must be Little Snow and Little Rice? And these two?”

Madam Liu knows Jiang Yu, has heard of the sisters Little Rice and Little Snow, and they are easy to differentiate by their age.

But when it comes to Jiang Wei and Wei Ziang, she was a bit confused.

Don’t be fooled by Jiang Wei’s name which contains the character ”Wei” indicating might; he doesn’t look tall and strong at all, rather he seems a bit thin, with somewhat yellow skin, looking like he’s malnourished.

In contrast, Wei Ziang, whose plumpness is just right and has fair skin with an elegant and unworldly air, seemed like a child who had been adopted and mistreated.

”Auntie, this is Jiang Wei, and this is Wei Ziang, both are my younger brothers,” Jiang Yu proactively introduced to Madam Liu.

Last year, Jiang Yu was often brought back to Liu’s home for meals, so he is quite familiar with Madam Liu.

”All such lovely children, by the way, lunch is almost ready. Second aunt, let’s have a meal too.”

Madam Liu’s voice is gentle and pleasant to the ears.

Before long, Liu Ze’s eldest brother also arrived, and Madam Liu introduced everyone to each other.

Liu Ze and Jiang Yu were taken to sit at a table with Liu Bo, Jiang Hu, and Liu Ze’s father, while the two ladies led a group of little kids to another table.

After getting familiar with each other, the conversation flowed more naturally. Little Rice listened for a bit, and it was mainly Madam Liu thanking mom for saving Liu Ze’s life or something like that.

The second aunt naturally kept saying it wasn’t such a big help, after all Liu Bo and Liu Ze stayed with them and even paid some money.

After hearing the same kind of conversation, Little Rice stopped paying attention. Instead, Liu Ze’s sister began chatting with her second sister, and sure enough, as girls, they mostly talked about embroidery work.

She almost forgot that she’s still a girl herself.

A piece of meat was added into her bowl: ”Little Rice, try this, it’s that turtle, tastes better than the ones we caught before.”

It was Wei Ziang.

Little Rice’s attention was immediately drawn: ”Really?”

She took a bite and put it into her mouth, her eyes really lit up: ”It tastes so good!”

No wonder it’s been raised in the special space for several years!

Madam Liu beside them also praised this turtle, saying it’s no wonder it’s from the Little Lucky Star. The servants had kept the yard neat and clean, but they never found a turtle in the water!

Instead, when they came, they quickly caught one, and such a large one at that.

During this time, they also talked about Liu Ze, who wanted to live with the Jiang family. Besides Liu Ze’s own desire, the consent of both families was naturally required.

The second aunt naturally had no objections, saying that after all, he has lived with them for several years and there are feelings involved.

Madam Liu was even less against it, almost losing the child before; it’s thanks to those years with Jiang’s family that he grew up healthy.

Although she was reluctant that her son wouldn’t be nearby, compared to his health, this doesn’t matter much.

Moreover, they let him stay far away before, and now it’s so close, going to school every day, if she wants to see him, she just needs to send a message through the servants and she’ll be able to see him.

Thus it was easily settled that Liu Ze would continue living with the Jiang family.

Madam Liu even voluntarily sponsored a carriage and a driver, to ensure they would pick up the young masters every morning from Jiang’s house to school and bring them back in the afternoon.

After the meal, Liu Ze’s parents didn’t stay long, especially since Liu Ze’s father had matters to attend to, so they left soon after.

But before the couple left, they had not mentioned anything, only expressing while leaving that they would send gifts to Jiang’s family, which had already been sent to Xiangmu Village, waiting for them to see at home.

After taking a short rest at Liu Bo’s house at noon, Jiang Hu and the second aunt went out, led by the steward, as Liu Bo was old and not as energetic as he used to be.

The couple had come to town not only to visit Liu Bo but also to purchase some necessary household items, and to get familiar with the sights of the county since they were here anyway.
