Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 308: Chapter 226: Pregnant

But despite laughing it off, Xiaomi also felt that mother seemed a bit off these days, resting a lot longer than before.

Could it be she hasn’t recovered from the long journey? Or is it because of the rain?

Xiaomi was puzzled, but still went to the kitchen, taking the opportunity to add some Spiritual Spring water into the water jar.

”Meow~” Little Mi jumped down from the beam, with a dead mouse in its mouth, the sound wasn’t very clear, it just flashed in front of Xiaomi and headed out.

Xiaomi hurriedly chased after: ”Little Mi, don’t eat the mouse, take it outside and throw it away!”

Little Mi and Little Hei were also brought along by the convoy at the back, after all, there was a lot of food at home, which greatly attracted ’thieves’, so two little bodyguards were needed to protect it.

By the time Xiaomi finished speaking, Little Mi had already started climbing the wall, preparing to go out. Little Hei, who was sleeping under the eaves, just lifted its head upon hearing the young master’s voice, then laid back down.

Xiaomi, having nothing else to do, squatted in front of Little Hei, rubbing its neck: ”Little Hei, are you and mother both unaccustomed to the new environment?”

Clearly, there were no issues on the road, but as soon as they settled down, they started feeling uncomfortable?

Xiaomi was worried, if it really was the case, they would have to return to Fu’an Village.

”What are you thinking about? Your brows are all knitted together.” Wei Ziang, who arrived unknowingly, squatted beside Xiaomi, petting the dog with her.

Little Hei was very big, with coarse fur, but as long as you brushed it the right way, it was incredibly smooth and pleasant to touch.

Xiaomi shared her concern: ”Dad said we’re going to the city tomorrow, and he’ll find a doctor to check on mother. If it really is the new environment, we might have to go back.”

After all, nothing is more important than family, everything else can wait.

The same goes for Little Hei.

But hopefully, it’s just the rain affecting the mood.

”Don’t think too much, Auntie seems in great spirits, her appetite is good, Little Hei too, maybe they just suddenly aren’t busy and feel bored, so they get sleepy.”

Back in Fu’an Village, even on rainy days, there were plenty of chores like feeding pigs, chickens, and rabbits - enough to keep busy for half a day.

Now, combining all chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits doesn’t even make thirty, and it takes less than half an hour to tend to all of them.

Besides, Uncle Jiang handles everything himself, he even helps with cooking, Auntie was used to being busy, and now that she suddenly has nothing to do, of course, she feels bored.

Such boredom leads to a lack of energy, and that’s normal; when the weather clears and things get busy again, everything will be fine.

After hearing Wei Ziang’s explanation, Xiaomi felt somewhat reassured, though she still gave Little Hei a little pat.

”What about Little Hei? What’s up with it?”

Little Hei can’t just be bored too, right? It never worked at home, and the yard of their new home is even bigger, perfect for it to romp around!

Then why does Little Hei seem so listless all the time?

For this question, Wei Ziang paused for a moment, then quietly patted Little Hei’s belly.

”Xiaomi, don’t you know that Little Hei is a female dog?”

Xiaomi blinked, not quite understanding the implication of these words.

Wei Ziang sighed lightly: ”Have you noticed that Auntie recently started feeding Little Hei better and more than before?”

Before, leftovers were mixed together for Little Hei and Little Mi to share, but now there’s always a bit of extra meat left for Little Hei every day.

Unfortunately, Little Mi is a male cat, has no chance of getting pregnant, and can’t experience this special treatment.

Xiaomi’s eyes widened instantly: ”Is Little Hei pregnant?”

Her gaze instantly shifted to Little Hei’s belly, but Little Hei didn’t even lift an eyelid, as if it had nothing to do with it.

Wei Ziang nodded: ”It should be, I heard Uncle and Aunt talking about this yesterday.”

Xiaomi was stunned, carefully extending her hand to touch Little Hei’s belly: ”Really, there are babies already?”

Incredibly surprising.

Couldn’t even tell her belly had gotten bigger.

”Uncle and Aunt said so, it should be true. They mentioned it’s been about a month, plus a few days spent in the carriage, so that’s why it’s been listless lately.”

Xiaomi blinked, unsure if it was a trick of the mind, but because of what Wei Ziang said, she could truly feel that the belly under her hand seemed slightly bigger than before.
