Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 332: Chapter 234: Digging Bamboo Shoots

The next morning, Xiaomi was brought home.

The doctor said she was fine and just needed a few days of rest. But days passed, and she still felt weak and got sleepy easily.

Everyone else was worried, except for Xiaomi herself, who spent her days eating and sleeping, perfectly at ease.

She had no choice but to eat and sleep, her spiritual energy was depleted, and even the Spiritual Spring water in her space had returned to normal, yet she hadn’t recovered.

Sleeping and eating early could offer some replenishment, and occasionally absorbing some spiritual energy in the space too. Thus, Xiaomi languished for half a month.

Others went to school or work, while Jiang Xiaoxue stayed by her bedside every day, almost bringing meals to her.

As for why Xiaomi suddenly fainted on the mountain half a month ago, there was still no explanation.

Of course, Xiaomi didn’t dare to explain, she just shook her head and said she didn’t know.

During these two weeks, because Xiaomi hadn’t recovered, Jiang Hu took her to the clinic several more times and even changed doctors.

The result was the same — nothing was wrong, she was very healthy!

If Xiaomi hadn’t insisted she was fine and just wanted to sleep, Jiang Hu would have cursed the quacks.

But because Xiaomi had once slept excessively before, although everyone was anxious, they weren’t too worried.

They always thought that Xiaomi was a bit different from regular kids; maybe she would get better in a few days.

It was Wei Ziang, though, who was called upon every day after school to keep Toyota company.

After all, the last time Xiaomi had trouble waking up, it was thanks to Wei Ziang’s presence that she recovered!

So Jiang Hu and his wife thought maybe with Wei Ziang’s company, Xiaomi might recover faster?

Wei Ziang, of course, was more than willing and didn’t refuse.

But it was clear that it didn’t really help.

Fortunately, after half a month of resting, Xiaomi’s energy finally returned. She no longer slept for most of the day and could finally go out for walks.

Of course, it wasn’t just others who were startled during this time, Xiaomi herself was bored to death, feeling as if she had been under house arrest, and was finally allowed to go out and get some fresh air.

”It’s so hot, how did it get so hot in just half a month?” Xiaomi fanned herself with her hand; the sun was hanging in the sky as if it went straight to summer.

Now that she was finally awake, Xiaomi wouldn’t just stay home and was eager to go out.

Going up the mountain, of course, was strictly forbidden, unless someone accompanied her; otherwise, she couldn’t go alone.

So she followed her parents to the fields to work.

Originally, her parents wanted her to rest on the field ridge and enjoy the sun.

But Xiaomi couldn’t sit still, so she took a basket of corn seeds and helped sow them.

The field had already been plowed and prepared. Aunt Yang and Liu Bo were digging, and Qixi and Jiang Hu were fetching and spreading manure.

Big Water Buffalo was used to pull the special manure cart, with a layer of oilcloth inside to pour the manure water. Big Water Buffalo pulled it to the field, which was much easier than carrying it on their shoulders.

Xiaomi had basically recovered over the past two days, so she started following her parents to the fields. She couldn’t stay idle and helped with sowing corn seeds, two seeds per hole, which was no trouble for her.

However, after a busy morning, she was sweating profusely, not so much from exhaustion but from the heat.

”It will cool down. Now it’s hot because it’s noon, but it’s still cold in the morning and evening, and it’s cool in the shade.”

Erniang also straightened up and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Seeing Xiaomi’s face flushed from the sun, she felt some pity: ”Xiaomi, why don’t you go back first? There’s not much work left, we can handle it ourselves.”

Though she herself had done farm work as a child, starting at four or five years old, washing clothes and collecting grass for pigs.

When it came to her own daughter, she couldn’t bear having her in the sun, even if it wasn’t too tiring.

”No worries, there’s not much left here. I’ll finish and then go back.” Xiaomi shook her head like a rattle.

After finally getting out, she didn’t want to go back yet.

Erniang looked at the sky: ”It’s almost noon, Xiaoxue should be cooking. Go back and help her; there are a lot of people at home, and your sister can’t manage all by herself.”

Jiang Xiaoxue, although not in the fields, also had her hands full.
