Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2850: Chapter 2000: A Storm

The sun is shining brightly, and the morning breeze is fresh.

Mrs. Margery is enjoying a sumptuous breakfast at a temporary residence.

These days, she’s been so busy that she’s barely had time to enjoy such a leisurely moment.

At this moment, a middle-aged woman hurriedly approached and whispered, ”Madam, something has happened!”

Upon hearing this, Mrs. Margery put down her knife and fork and looked at her, ”Something happened? What is it?”

Whatever it is, it must not be trivial and certainly severe. Mrs. Margery thought.

Otherwise, her long-time secretary wouldn’t have dared to disturb her peace at this moment.

The middle-aged secretary said gravely, ”Jonas, the head of the Ice Spring Valley Company in Domido City, has been suspended and investigated by the group, and the company’s accounts are under thorough examination.”

Mrs. Margery was instantly shocked and looked at her, ”By whose order? Bai Xiaosheng, or... the group headquarters?!”

If it were Bai Xiaosheng’s personal decision, she would definitely have heard about it.

If it were the group headquarters... she hadn’t received any orders and was completely unaware of it!

Having her bypassed directly to make decisions about the enterprise under her jurisdiction was certainly extraordinary!

”Indications show that the order came from headquarters!” The middle-aged secretary said, ”The investigation started last night!”

”Last night!” Mrs. Margery’s eyes narrowed, her voice slightly sharp, ”How long has it been and only now we get the news?! What are those people over there doing? We didn’t just have Jonas there, right?!”

The complete lack of communication made Mrs. Margery extremely angry.

The middle-aged secretary said gravely, ”It’s reported that the Ice Spring Valley Company’s executives were asked to turn off their phones, held meetings all night, and were investigated all night. Our people were all controlled. Moreover, I checked and got information that everything is personally overseen by Bai Xiaosheng.”

”Bai Xiaosheng?!” Mrs. Margery frowned and angrily said, ”Didn’t Fei’er say she was tracking him, and he was heading to Lagodi? How is he in Domido?!”

The middle-aged secretary whispered, ”Perhaps, the young lady has been ditched by the other side...”

”Ditched?” Mrs. Margery said angrily, ”I’m not senile yet, and you all become fools? Such a big thing can’t be arranged just by remote control from the start. Most likely, that Bai Xiaosheng never left Domido City. Fei’er, that girl, I see has been made a fool! Useless!”

Mrs. Margery has never evaluated Fei’er’s abilities this way.

The middle-aged secretary, seeing this, hurriedly said, ”Please calm down, I’ve already sent someone to contact the young lady and inform her of the situation. The current issue is that not only our Ice Spring Valley Company, but the Golun International Subsidiary has also been sued by our group, and that Gainby has been detained. A local businessman, Zack, who has often cooperated with us, has become a tainted witness. The situation is very tricky!”

The urgent need now is not to decide who to punish, but to resolve the matter itself!

Mrs. Margery’s eyes narrowed, ”Has the ’cooperation’ between the Ice Spring Valley Company and the Golun International Subsidiary been discovered?!”

This indeed happened too suddenly and frighteningly!

The middle-aged secretary dared not hide anything, ”It’s likely eight or nine out of ten that it’s the case.”

Mrs. Margery suddenly glanced suspiciously at her secretary, ”Since all our people were controlled, who sent you all these news? From Golun International?”

The middle-aged secretary smiled bitterly, ”Madam, you might not believe it, I learned about it from the morning news and hurriedly sent people in Lin City to investigate. Also, I suspect Golun International might not even be aware of the situation yet.”

Such a statement left Mrs. Margery stunned.

It reached this point, and those who should be the first to know were completely kept in the dark!

At this moment, Mrs. Margery’s phone on the table rang.

She glanced at it, picked up the phone, and answered.

”Yes, it’s me.”

”I just learned about the situation too. I’m not sure exactly how it’s been done, but it’s certainly Bai Xiaosheng’s handiwork.”

”A Vice President went to Golun’s side? How come he’s also in the dark, Bai Xiaosheng surely can’t control him!”

...

”It’s indeed outrageous, an incident happened on our home turf, our domain, and yet we need to rely on external media to know the news!”

”This is truly a huge disgrace!”

Putting down the phone, Mrs. Margery’s rage remained uncontrollable.

”Really, there’s no one reliable! That Bai Xiaosheng alone controlled three companies, and not even a word leaked out! I just got the news that the Golun International Subsidiary is actually cooperating in investigating the accounts! The Vice President they sent is still the son-in-law of the Vice Chairman Morgan’s family, just simply... making me want to curse!”

The middle-aged secretary listened to Mrs. Margery’s words of anger with full disbelief.

Afterwards, Mrs. Margery said through gritted teeth, ”I truly underestimated Bai Xiaosheng. Originally, I was comforted seeing him handle fire-fighting and disaster relief over here and relaxed my vigilance towards him. But in the blink of an eye, he created such a big mess!”

The more Mrs. Margery talked, the angrier she became, slamming her palm on the dining table, causing the cup to nearly jump.

”Madam, I think you should not be overly angry now.” The middle-aged secretary reminded, ”This matter has already become a hot topic on the internet, the group headquarters intervened immediately, and things have been bypassing you, it’s irreversible now. You should prepare on how to face the headquarters’ questioning.”

These words reminded Mrs. Margery.
