Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2835: Chapter 1993: Huaxia Distinguished Guests (Part 2)

It’s not that he’s in a hurry to make money to have food on the table, but rather he’s afraid another ”third party” might come and take his place.

So after some thought, Zack directly called Jonas from the Ice Spring Valley Company.

This time, the fund borrowing was again raised by the Ice Spring Valley Company.

On the surface, the Ice Spring Valley Company wants to borrow a sum of money from him to compensate for the loss of machinery to Golun International.

In reality, he doesn’t have any money himself; the funds still have to come covertly from the Golun International Subsidiary.

And he needs to mortgage part of his land to get the money from the Golun International Subsidiary before loaning it to Ice Spring Valley Company.

The whole process seems complicated, but it’s actually just a loop.

With no progress being made, Zack’s first instinct is naturally to contact the borrower.

At this moment, Zack directly called Jonas.

Usually, he would communicate with the special ”liaison.”

The call connected quickly, and a low voice came from the other end.

”Is it Mr. Zack?”

”Yes, it’s me, Mr. Jonas.” Zack recognized that voice, lowered his voice with a smile, and asked, ”Is it convenient for you to speak?”

The sound of a door closing faintly came from the other side, followed by the low voice again.

”No problem now.”

Zack spoke directly, ”So, Mr. Jonas, the matter we discussed earlier, why is there no movement regarding the money...”

At this point, Zack paused suitably, waiting for Jonas to speak.

”Mr. Zack, I know what you’re asking.” Jonas said softly from the other end, ”But I can’t decide whether to lend or not now.”

These words left Zack momentarily stunned.

Usually, Jonas doesn’t seem to have such considerations.

Jonas continued on the phone, ”You know the official borrowing reason my company has stated this time, but according to the process, we have to report this funding gap to the group first. If the group doesn’t approve, then we can take private loans, apply for group funds later, or retain funds from the revenue to repay. It’s always been done this way.”

”But now, the group has sent someone to solve our problems. I don’t know if he can bring the funds. Once he does, we won’t have a reason to borrow because there won’t be any reason. If he doesn’t solve our funding problems and we have to pool the funds ourselves, then it’s negotiable. Do you understand what I’m saying, Mr. Zack?”

Turns out, that’s where the issue is!

Zack replied, ”I understand now.”

About the person sent by Zhenbei Group to solve Ice Spring Valley Company’s problem, Zack cursed again in his heart.

How long has it been, and that bastard still hasn’t shown up?

Whether it succeeds or not, just give a result!

What he didn’t anticipate was that the big-shot Huaxia visitor he was going to entertain shortly was the very person he was cursing...

”Mr. Zack, don’t worry, if needed, we’ll contact you first, after all, we’ve cooperated more than once. We trust you very much. In this regard, your ’credibility’ is unmatched.” Jonas emphasized from the other end.

He said this to give Zack peace of mind.

Judging by this call, Mr. Zack had seemed restless lately.

”Good, Mr. Jonas, with your words, I’m relieved. If there’s a chance, we’ll cooperate again.” Zack said with a smile on the phone.

”Let me treat you to tea someday.”

”No, I should be the one treating you.”

After exchanging pleasantries, the brief phone call came to an end.

Putting down the phone, Zack let out a sigh.

The cooperation over there seemed to be indefinitely postponed, he was now increasingly hopeful to reap some gains from the Huaxia guest.

Recollecting the Huaxia young man unwilling to reveal his identity, Zack still trusted his judgment.

However, his son Beno’s suspicion wasn’t entirely without merit either...

”Anyway, we’ll see once we meet.” Zack murmured.

Waiting always seemed endlessly long.

Zack could only immerse himself in handling company paperwork to kill time, yet his mind remained unsettled.

The appointed time finally arrived, Zack walked to the office’s floor-to-ceiling window with his phone in hand, hesitating whether to call Bai Xiaosheng once more for confirmation.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

Zack turned to look at the door and called out, ”Come in.”

As the word left his mouth, the person outside had already pushed the door open and entered, clearly not waiting for a response, the knock was just a formality.

Anyone who acts this way wouldn’t be someone else, Zack saw that it was indeed his son Beno.

”Father, he’s here!” Beno said concisely.

Zack’s eyes instantly lit up, ”Huaxia person?”

”Huaxia people!”

Zack instantly straightened his clothes, relaxed his expression, and put on a smile.

”Let’s go meet the guests!”

Bai Xiaosheng’s group arrived in five cars, all luxury vehicles, and more than twenty people stepped out, each with an impressive aura.

Bai Xiaosheng made a striking entrance, surrounded by the crowd.

However, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were not among the crowd.

They had important roles elsewhere and couldn’t easily show up here.

As Zack and Beno went to greet them, Bai Xiaosheng and his group stayed in the lobby of the first floor of the building. Bai himself admired the festive welcome arrangements.

The decorations were rich in Huaxia style, indicating a lot of thought had been put into them.

”Mr. Bai, welcome!”

From afar, Zack enthusiastically raised his voice and quickened his pace.

With a few steps still separating them, he extended his hand.

”Mr. Zack.”

Bai Xiaosheng turned back with a smile and raised his hand to shake Zack’s.

The two exchanged pleasantries in public.

Beno stood behind his father, secretly observing Bai Xiaosheng.

Earlier, he hadn’t even met the man, only received reports from his subordinates, and hurried to inform his father.

Now, finally seeing the ”Mr. Bai” his father mentioned, Beno didn’t find anything extraordinary about him.

A billion-dollar deal?

Could this man really be in charge?

Beno’s doubts about Bai Xiaosheng did not lessen.

However, seeing the people behind Bai Xiaosheng, even Beno could sense that each had a remarkable presence.

From their attire, positions, and behavior, some things can’t be faked.

”It seems this Huaxia person indeed has some significance.” Beno, after scrutinizing Bai Xiaosheng’s entourage, found some recognition for him.

”Come, come, Mr. Bai, please come inside.” Zack warmly invited while his eyes brushed over the people behind Bai Xiaosheng.

With so many years in the business world, Zack’s perception was naturally sharper than Beno’s.

Seeing the people Bai Xiaosheng brought, Zack also nodded silently.

”Mr. Zack, we haven’t spent much time in the car, so we’re not tired. I think there’s no need to rest, let’s proceed directly with the visit.”

Bai Xiaosheng gestured behind him, ”I brought along people including senior planners and land appraisers. Let them go see the two plots of land so it doesn’t delay our progress here.”

”By the way, I also brought lawyers and legal advisors, and we need to go over the land documents.”

Then Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”I reported this matter to my family, and they assembled a team for me, saying that investment has a process which I must follow. After all, it’s not a small amount of family money being spent.”

”Understood, understood.”

Zack smiled and nodded repeatedly, pointing to Beno, ”This is my son Beno, let him handle the arrangements later.”

Beno immediately stepped forward, smiled at Bai Xiaosheng, and extended his hand, ”Mr. Bai, a pleasure to meet you.”

”A pleasure.” Bai Xiaosheng lazily smiled and casually shook hands with Beno.

Then Bai Xiaosheng turned to continue speaking with Zack, ”Mr. Zack, this is my first independent major investment that I have high hopes for, aiming to make a stunning impact, it’s called earning credibility. So I hope both sides are satisfied.”

Zack nodded repeatedly.

Beno also smiled and nodded along.

Before meeting Bai Xiaosheng, Beno had many doubts. But after seeing him in person, he inexplicably felt a sense of reassurance.

Because this noble presence matched perfectly with what he imagined.

The more meticulous and serious Bai Xiaosheng was about the cooperation details, the more reassured Beno felt.

However, Beno didn’t know that Bai Xiaosheng, aided by Red Lotus, was an absolute acting talent.

”This way, Mr. Bai.” Zack invited with one hand and then told Beno, ”Arrange the visit to the land site.”

Beno promptly nodded and began attending to some of the people Bai Xiaosheng brought.

Beno’s enthusiasm also increased.

After all, this time, possibly a true benefactor who could change his family’s business had come!

Zack was even more inclined to think this way.

What they didn’t realize was that they were being deceived.

There would certainly be changes, but whether for better or worse was uncertain...
