Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2815: Chapter 1985: Taking Down Amido

Bai Xiaosheng and the other two, along with Fei’er, were on their way to Amido’s company.

On the way, Fei’er was full of anxiety about this trip.

”Amido might hear your name and avoid seeing us altogether,” Fei’er said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”I think maybe once we arrive, you should wait outside, and I’ll go in first. I’ll call you once I have an appointment.”

Bai Xiaosheng grinned, ”I think you’re overthinking it.”

Fei’er wasn’t as relaxed as Bai Xiaosheng and still frowned, muttering, ”But we’re from the same group. If she doesn’t want to see you, I might not get to see her either. If they brush me off, saying she’s not there, what should we do?”

”Otherwise, Weiwei, you could make an appointment first. As long as we know she’s in the company, they can’t use that excuse to brush us off. If she’s there, we’ll see her,” Fei’er said to Lin Weiwei.

Lin Weiwei looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled nonchalantly and nodded, ”Let’s do as Miss Fei’er suggested.”

These are minor things, and it’s no problem to follow Fei’er’s suggestion.

Bai Xiaosheng was certain Amido would see them, but he couldn’t stand Fei’er’s anxiety.

There’s no need to make things difficult for one of our own. It’s not troublesome anyway.

Lin Weiwei nodded in agreement, ”Fine.”

Fei’er immediately started discussing with Lin Weiwei.

On what pretense to make the visit.

Amido must be in a terrible mood, agitated, and unwilling to see ordinary visitors. It’s better to go in the name of a chamber of commerce, saying there’s an important matter to see Amido.

People are curious. Even if Amido is extremely angry, she won’t be able to resist that curiosity.

Lin Weiwei saw Bai Xiaosheng’s indifferent stance and repeatedly nodded, indicating her willingness to follow Fei’er’s lead.

Fei’er still wasn’t reassured and repeatedly reminded her of many details.

Lin Weiwei listened with only half an ear.

Soon, they arrived at Amido Company’s location.

Following Fei’er’s instructions, Lin Weiwei went in alone to ”scout” while the others waited outside.

Before long, Lin Weiwei returned.

”Is she there? Can we see her?!” Fei’er asked urgently.

Lin Weiwei shrugged, ”They said Amido came back not long ago but stormed off home.”

Fei’er frowned.

”It seems this matter has really upset Amido,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile from the side.

Fei’er looked pained, ”Mr. Bai, you’re so relaxed. Why does it seem like things are getting worse?”

”Let’s go, we’ll make things better,” Bai Xiaosheng smiled and walked outside.

”Where to?” Fei’er asked urgently.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t look back, ”Naturally, to her home.”

”Today? Right now?” Fei’er couldn’t help but ask.

Perhaps the last person Amido wants to see right now is Bai Xiaosheng. Him going to her home is like walking into the lion’s den.

A cold reception would be the least of it; they might even be beaten out by her security guards.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng not responding and already walking away, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying followed without a word.

”Wait for me,” Fei’er shouted, hurriedly following.

Fei’er had done extensive groundwork during her stay in Daqing Reef City, so she naturally knew where Amido lived.

In less than half an hour, they were driving towards a small hill in the suburbs.

On top of the hill stood a castle-like villa, which was Amido’s home.

”This place was chosen well; open view, nice scenery,” Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help looking out the window at the scenery on the way to the villa, complimenting it.

”Mr. Bai, you really have the leisure,” Fei’er said faintly, ”Better think about how to face that Beast Beauty’s anger after we meet. I really doubt if this matter can be settled. Just thinking about the scene later gives me a headache.”

Bai Xiaosheng glanced at Fei’er with a smile, ”You don’t need to worry.”

Before Fei’er could ask why, Bai Xiaosheng continued, ”Because later, I’ll go talk to her alone. You all stay in the living room.”

Fei’er opened her mouth, wanting to speak but then stopped.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng’s determined expression, she finally muttered a single word, ”Alright.”

Since joining Bai Xiaosheng on this journey, Fei’er realized that once Bai Xiaosheng made up his mind, it was rare for it to change based on her suggestions.

Fei’er was familiar with Bai Xiaosheng’s ”male chauvinism.”

What she didn’t know was, Bai Xiaosheng’s firmness was only shown to her.

After all, sometimes, it’s better to keep certain things from her keen observation.

”This time, unlike at the company, there’s no need for probing, right, Miss Fei’er?” Lin Weiwei said calmly.

Fei’er gestured ’please’ towards Bai Xiaosheng, ”This time, leave it all to Mr. Sheng. After all, I don’t even have the right to sit in, so why should I worry?”

”Exactly, worrying gives you wrinkles, leave it all to me,” Bai Xiaosheng smiled slowly.

...

While Bai Xiaosheng and his group were on their way to Amido’s home, Amido was in her study, having just vented another round of anger, smashing and throwing everything breakable on her desk.

Once she calmed down a bit, her assistant dared to approach and called someone in to tidy the place.

”Miss Amido, calm down, getting angry will only harm your health. That Bai Xiaosheng won’t suffer any consequences,” the assistant tried to comfort her, ”Let’s think of a way to get back at him instead.”

Amido gritted her teeth, angrily saying, ”Didn’t he come to solve the Changhu Company’s issues? He can forget about it! Even if I have to abandon all those assets, I won’t relent, won’t let their project resume! This is all his doing!”
