Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2811: Chapter 1983: As If in a Dream

Amido, accompanied by her assistant, entered the elevator hall on the ground floor of the hotel, where a large electronic screen was displayed on the wall facing the outside.

The screen showed information about a meeting: Geduo’ya Transnational Commercial Alliance’s Eleventh Organizational Meeting, tenth floor.

Amido stared at the information, a smile unconsciously forming at the corner of her mouth.

Initially, this business association was merely a domestic institution in Geduo’ya. Due to Changhu Company’s business projects, merchants from nearby island countries also established industries here, and the association seized the opportunity to invite them to join.

All at once, the association soared, transforming from a domestic institution into an international business alliance.

To be fair, inviting those business owners to join was largely due to Amido’s efforts.

On one hand, she actively persuaded the association to open its doors widely; on the other hand, she rallied various parties to join.

This led to the current scenario.

As the association grew stronger, its originally loose organizational structure became unsuitable; Amido single-handedly pushed for the association’s reform to make it an agenda item.

Today’s meeting is one she has long anticipated, convened under her subtle influence.

Today, not only is the new organizational structure, long since determined, officially announced, but also the new president candidate is proposed.

In truth, the so-called nomination election is merely a formality.

Everything Amido has done and accomplished so far has garnered unanimous support from the members of the association, with everyone silently giving her a thumbs-up.

She has long been recognized by everyone.

Of course, given recognition is not counted until it becomes reality.

Amido privately contacted most of the organizational members, promising benefits, appealing with reason, and asking them to support her ascent.

Today is the day Amido will be gloriously crowned!

The more Amido thinks about it, the more buoyant her mood becomes.

As she entered the elevator hall, a lobby manager approached quickly with a smile.

This hotel is also owned by a member of the association, and previous association meetings have all been held here, so the staff are exceedingly familiar with important figures in the association.

”Miss Amido, you’re here! This way, please!” The manager gestured to welcome her.

Amido smiled and nodded in return.

In the elevator hall today, a dedicated elevator is prepared for the distinguished guests attending.

As Amido headed towards the elevator indicated by the manager, she casually asked, ”Manager, how many of our association members have arrived?”

”Counting you, it’s about twenty,” the manager replied with a smile.

”I see.” Amido nodded with a smile.

This meeting is not a full assembly, just an organizational meeting of the association, totaling twenty-four people including her and the president.

By now, most of the people had arrived.

Amido had timed her arrival precisely, as key figures should neither arrive too early nor be late; appearing after most attendees ensures the spotlight.

This is an art in itself.

As the elevator door closed, Amido nodded with a smile to the manager outside, showcasing her amiable and approachable demeanor.

Her mood today was excellent, yet this has nothing to do with her mood—it is the demeanor an ascendant should have.

Amido knows there’s a nickname ”Beast Beauty” for her outside. Those unaware might think she occasionally displays a fierce temperament, but this isn’t the case; the ”beast” refers to her business style—seizing every opportunity without hesitation, coming down hard on business opponents like a predator.

Amido feels it’s imperative to showcase her gentle side more in public to correct any misconceptions.

Soon, the elevator reached the tenth floor, and Amido, along with her assistant, stepped out.

The outside had been freshly decorated, with a new red carpet laid from the elevator entrance to the conference hall, adorned with flowers as embellishment.

Clearly, this was a thematic setup for her coronation, and the more Amido looked, the more radiant her mood became.

In a great mood, Amido’s steps were light and spirited; she appeared vibrant and full of energy.

As she stepped into the conference hall, Amido saw that almost all of the association’s organizational members were seated, engaged in whispering conversations, creating a lively atmosphere.

Amido’s arrival quickly caught everyone’s attention, and they warmly greeted her.

”Miss Amido, you’ve arrived.”

”Your outfit is stunning today.”

”Miss Amido has always been the embodiment of beauty and wisdom in our association.”

”Miss Amido, I must take a photo with you later.”

Amidst the enthusiasm, there was a subtle undertone of flattery.

Amido was pleased, with a smile as bright as a spring breeze, greeting everyone individually.

Currently, the meeting’s host, the president, had not yet arrived, and everyone was seated below the stage. About twenty people formed three rows, with seat back labels for easy seating.

Amido found her seat, indeed positioned in the very front and center; however, there was an empty seat next to her without a name label.

Amido noticed this peculiar empty seat only after sitting down.

”Who is this reserved for?” Amido asked the person next to her.

The other person glanced over and replied vaguely, ”Not sure, isn’t it without a name? Maybe the staff made a mistake, perhaps they forgot to label it?”

For such an important meeting, the staff surely confirm things repeatedly and wouldn’t make such a basic error.

Turning the thought around, Amido suddenly understood.

This must be reserved for the president!

Soon the president will take the stage to host, but after the new president is crowned and takes the stage, he will have to step down and be seated. This is the seat reserved for him.

The lack of a name label is likely to avoid discomfort for the president.
