Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2822: Chapter 1988: Lin Weiwei’s Decision

On the journey to Domido City, Yado was very happy.

Because throughout the whole trip there was a charming woman with an ethereal aura, her eyes like autumn waters constantly gazing at him, asking him about various questions.

His answers always made her suddenly understand, her brows relaxing with a wide-eyed smile.

His humor always elicited a string of laughter, like the sound of silver bells.

This feeling was simply too good.

Especially since the other person was a reserved and gentle Eastern woman, known for such qualities, and yet was attracted to him like this; Yado almost wanted to applaud his own charm, feeling self-infatuated for a moment.

As for the two men beside the beauty, Yado mostly ignored them.

One kept speaking eagerly yet knew very little, merely serving as a foil for his eloquent talk.

The other was a large man, as if carved from wood, saying nothing at all throughout.

Looking at the beautiful woman called ”Lin” before him, Yado started feeling restless.

This woman was a natural beauty.

Not like the women he had seen before, who were seductive and vulgar.

Nor like his girlfriend, who was pretty but her temper was like a honey badger on the African plains, rampaging fiercely against any obstacle.

This woman before him, when she smiled, it was like a spring breeze bringing all things to life.

When curious, the astonishment in her eyes carried a pure and innocent charm that was hard to resist.

In Yado’s heart, Lin Weiwei became a tantalizing little enchantress.

At first, Yado approached her with the mindset of ”playing around,” but began to feel that desecrating this woman would be a sin—he even found a hint of the feeling of first love.

Yado felt amazing, and Lin Weiwei was quite happy too.

Because from this fool, their gains far exceeded expectations.

Yado probably didn’t know what secrets his boasting had revealed.

For example, Yado inadvertently mentioned that Golun International’s subsidiary in Domido City was aiming to acquire a plot of land a month ago. The report reached him, with many doubting the deal, but he stood firm against opposition, ultimately gaining the CEO’s support and securing it.

A month after getting the land, Domido City’s Ice Spring Valley Company intended to expand, and the best factory site happened to be that plot. They bought it from Golun International subsidiary at a high price.

Golun International made a huge profit without any effort...

On the surface, this matter seems perfectly normal.

However, prior to this, Yado had mentioned another affair.

About a year ago, Golun International purchased a batch of machines, and half a year ago, Ice Spring Valley Company rented these second-hand machines at a high price due to demand.

This deal was also facilitated by him.

Yado mentioned it with pride, as if he were a business genius, favored by fortune.

Nevertheless, Bai Xiaosheng and the others keenly perceived something amiss within.

The Ice Spring Valley Company was precisely a subsidiary of Zhenbei Group, and they were actually headed to Domido City to solve troubles there.

In the report submitted to the group, Ice Spring Valley Company mentioned that due to a tsunami, all leased Golun International machines were destroyed, requiring full compensation.

This was rather interesting, and quite unusual!

The business transactions between Golun International’s Domido City subsidiary and Ice Spring Valley Company became so ”fantastical.”

One party’s needs perfectly matched another party’s resources!

The coincidence was outrageously suspicious.

This time, Ice Spring Valley Company was pressured by demand to buy leased machines at a high price. Coincidentally, they encountered unforeseeable hurricane force disasters, and all machines were destroyed, needing full compensation, including delay fees, which was not a small amount!

The intricacies between the two companies’ business dealings are not known to the headquarters. Perhaps they were intercepted by Mrs. Margery and never made it to the media.

Who would have thought a straightforward compensation event would have such deep entanglements beneath.

If it weren’t for Yado’s boasting before Lin Weiwei, the trio wouldn’t have known.

Bai Xiaosheng and his group silently pieced together the cause and effect, even simultaneously forming similar suspicions:

Could it be that someone from Zhenbei Group’s Ice Spring Valley Company had disclosed their needs ahead to Golun International, enabling Golun International to leverage this business secret to obtain resources in advance to sell at a high price to Ice Spring Valley Company.

Thus, Golun International’s behind-the-scenes family, Vice Chairman Morgan’s family, could extract benefits from Zhenbei Group.

This act was covert; if Bai Xiaosheng and his group hurriedly went to ”solve the problem,” they might overlook it.

Perhaps precisely because of this, Mrs. Margery felt assured letting them come.

The whole affair is still just an iceberg tip.

Behind this, whether Golun International’s subsidiary needs to give Ice Spring Valley Company some kickbacks is also unknown.

Whose pockets those kickbacks fall into still needs further investigation.

However, Bai Xiaosheng and his group are convinced.

Such matters surely weren’t rare between these two companies.

Yet, out of cautiousness, the parties might refrain from ”direct interactions,” likely relying on third parties more often for transactions.

Entirely possible!

Overall, there are too many things hidden beneath this to investigate.

Now, Lin Weiwei’s eyes sparkled, smilingly gazing at Yado.

From an enforced smile, inner resentment, and resistance at the start, to now, her smiles are ”genuine and heartfelt.”

Lin Weiwei now feels that Yado’s appearance is a heavenly arrangement to aid them.

A veritable blessed star!

From the start, Lin Weiwei harbored a bold idea, but didn’t have the chance to discuss it with Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying.

As time went by, the idea grew like wild grass in Lin Weiwei’s heart, making her eager to try it.

The more she looked at Yado, the stronger the idea became.

At that moment, a flight attendant walked over, cautiously interrupting the group’s conversation.

”Mr. Yado, esteemed guests, the plane has entered Domido City’s airspace, and will land in half an hour.”

The attendant was respectfully and politely reminding them.

”We’re about to arrive, huh.” Yado looked out the window and seemed somewhat reluctant.

Lin Weiwei quickly glanced at Bai Xiaosheng, as if having made a decision.

Bai Xiaosheng inadvertently caught Lin Weiwei’s expression, and couldn’t help but pause.

Though fleeting, Bai Xiaosheng was certain; this girl, Lin Weiwei, definitely had some mischievous idea, and was resolute about it.

Though Bai Xiaosheng didn’t know what Lin Weiwei had in mind, he subtly shook his head.

His meaning was clear: whatever ideas she had, it was best to discuss them after returning.

Just then, Yado turned back.

Yado looked at Lin Weiwei with clear reluctance and smiled, ”Miss Lin, I didn’t expect to arrive so quickly; once we’re in Domido City, we’ll have to part ways, what a shame as we were hitting it off so well. I wonder, which company are you visiting on business in Domido City? If you have time, I’d love to invite you out for a drink. If you’d like, I can offer you a villa, even more comfortable than a hotel.”

This invitation was already less laden with initial desires.

”I also feel the time went by a bit too quickly.” Lin Weiwei seemed to resonate with that.

Seeing she felt the same, Yado was overjoyed and prepared to extend another invitation.

Unexpectedly, Lin Weiwei took the initiative this time.

”Mr. Yado, what you mentioned earlier was very impressive; I’ve admired Golun International for long. I wonder, could I visit Golun International’s subsidiary with you? If it’s inconvenient to bring me, then forget it. If you think my status is inappropriate, you can tell them that I’m your secretary. I only want to see the big company, nothing more.”

Lin Weiwei’s gaze was charming and expectant as she looked at Yado.

Yado was stunned.

He never expected this Eastern beauty would actually propose visiting his company.

Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying also immediately looked at Lin Weiwei, astonished by her bold move.

”That’s not appropriate; Mr. Yado has his own matters...” Bai Xiaosheng wanted to halt Lin Weiwei’s idea.

But before he could finish, Yado decisively interrupted, ”No, it’s appropriate!”

Yado’s face blossomed with a smile.

”I welcome Miss Lin to accompany me!”
