Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2807: Chapter 1980: Creating Opportunities_2

”I couldn’t tell, Miss Fei’er, you look as beautiful and youthful as ever,” Bai Xiaosheng casually complimented.

A perfunctory compliment is still a compliment.

”Mr. Bai is quite the charmer,” Fei’er teased as she glanced at Bai with a playful look.

Nearby, Lin Weiwei gave a deliberate cough, reminding the two that they were here for business.

Fei’er, with a sparkle in her eyes, gave Lin Weiwei a brief look, then moved a bit closer to Bai Xiaosheng, continuing her introduction, ”She runs a comprehensive business, quite famous locally, and she’s unyielding over compensation issues. Recently, I suspect she’s tipped off others, since those merchants who initially agreed to settle are now reconsidering.”

”I’ve attempted to reach out to Amido a few times for a private discussion, but only managed to meet her once, and we only talked for a few minutes. Hmph, such a proud woman!” Fei’er snorted coldly.

Then, Fei’er turned to Bai Xiaosheng, ”And then you came along. Mr. Bai, I’m not sure about your way with women, whether you can handle this troublesome issue.”

Bai Xiaosheng stared at the woman in the photo, not responding.

When Fei’er was about to speak again, Bai Xiaosheng finally looked at her and smiled, ”Miss Fei’er, do you think I have any kind of charm with women that could compete with real silver and gold? What she’s interested in is benefit.”

”By the way, what about those civilian residences, how did you approach them, any insights to share?” Bai Xiaosheng inquired.

Actually, just by glancing at the abstract numbers on the report, Bai Xiaosheng could roughly guess the situation.

He asked this mainly to keep Fei’er from getting sidetracked.

Fei’er gave a slight smile, ”The public seeks truth and justice, so we offer sincere apologies, admit our mistakes, and send the culpable to jail. For their immediate interests, I coordinated with the city government for a comprehensive inspection of previous residential phases, providing a fifty-year warranty, and five years of free property service. For those problematic units in Phase Nine, we’ve promised to demolish and rebuild, returning thirty percent of the purchase price as a delay compensation, and announced that our group in Geduo’ya will offer two employment positions per household. And then, there are no more issues.”

Fei’er did handle these matters quite beautifully.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded repeatedly and gave her a big thumbs-up.

Fei’er, feeling quite pleased, picked up a wine glass from the table and gestured to Bai Xiaosheng, taking a light sip.

Bai Xiaosheng took the cue and drank a sip with her.

”The troublesome ones are those who bought commercial properties; they have their own companies and industries, with high expectations and big appetites.”

Setting down her glass, Fei’er remarked, ”However, those folks are all watching a woman named Amido, waiting to see the outcome of her negotiations with us. If we can handle Amido, I believe the others won’t be an issue.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded slightly at her words.

”Miss Fei’er, you mentioned having gone to see her several times but only met her once, is she that hard to see, so elusive?” Bai Xiaosheng asked, ”If it’s for the sake of interest, she shouldn’t be refusing to negotiate, right?”

Fei’er shrugged, ”I’ve only met her personal assistant and talked to that assistant. This Amido is quite cunning; I think she’s intentionally avoiding us at first to make us anxious so she can demand more later. I know this type of person very well.”

Bai Xiaosheng frowned slightly at her words.

Indeed, that would make things difficult.

How do you negotiate without seeing the person?

Fei’er helplessly took another sip of her drink, and the atmosphere fell silent.

”Just today,” Fei’er spoke again moodily, ”About two hours ago, I called her personal assistant, only to hear she’s not around today. So we shouldn’t expect a meeting today. It’s just as well, Mr. Bai, since you’re new here, you can take a break and explore. Daqing Reef City is quite different from Mogran.”

While speaking, Fei’er looked out the window, about to point out some landmarks to Bai Xiaosheng.

But upon looking out, her gaze was suddenly caught by a car moving in parallel.

From this angle, she could just make out the license plate on the back of the car.

”TTR7259!”

Fei’er’s eyes narrowed, blurting out, ”Isn’t that Amido’s exclusive vehicle!”

Upon her words, Bai Xiaosheng and the others also glanced outside.

Everyone was astonished.

What a coincidence, just as they were discussing this woman, she was right outside in a car.

This wouldn’t even happen in drama shows.

”It’s just a car; she might not even be inside,” Lin Weiwei murmured.

”No, she’s in there!” Fei’er declared confidently, ”From my investigations, whenever that exclusive car is out of the garage, it’s always her inside.”

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but look at Fei’er.

Can such things be investigated?

What kind of effort has Fei’er put into this?

At that moment, Fei’er simply stood up, bending over to keep an eye on that car from the window, afraid of losing sight of it.

”Tell me you’re not in the city, trying to fool me! Cunning woman!” Fei’er said angrily to herself, ”Caught you this time; let’s see how you avoid us now...”

While she was speaking, the car outside suddenly sped up and took off.

Not that they discovered Fei’er and the others; perhaps they just decided to speed up.

Even though it was close to noon, the road they were on was an outer ring, and there weren’t too many cars.

Seeing the car ”about to get away,” Fei’er panicked, rushing forward to open a divider to the driver’s area, yelling, ”Follow that car for me!”

”License plate TTR7259!”

Fei’er was quick-tempered as well.

The driver immediately obeyed, pressing down on the accelerator, and Bai Xiaosheng along with the others could feel their car clearly gaining speed.

However, after watching from the window for some time, Fei’er grew more agitated upon not seeing the car.

”Why haven’t we caught up yet!” she shouted to the driver again.

”Miss Fei’er, their car accelerates faster than ours,” the driver replied while flooring the gas pedal.

Bai Xiaosheng wished to advise Fei’er to stay calm and follow closely; they would meet eventually.

But Fei’er muttered to herself, ”Even if we follow them to the company, we might be turned down, seeing her now would be best!”

While speaking, Fei’er suddenly caught sight of a distant traffic light through the front glass, realizing it was about to change, ensuring neither car would be able to pass.

”This is what we’ll do,” Fei’er immediately instructed the driver.

Bai Xiaosheng and the others were puzzled upon hearing it.

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but glance at Fei’er’s back, inwardly impressed.

This woman was indeed ruthless!

As the traffic light changed, the sedan slowed to a stop, inside which was an alluring and stunningly beautiful woman, putting down her phone and taking a glass of red wine from her assistant to ease her mind.

She was the Amido Fei’er mentioned.

Amido’s driver, while waiting, glanced at the rearview mirror, slowly revealing an odd expression.

He noticed the car behind was inching closer, resolutely ”kissing” this sedan’s bumper.

”Bang,” a soft yet palpable impact occurred, causing the Amido’s wine glass at her lips to spill all over her face.

Amido was suddenly enraged.

The assistant was shocked and promptly turned around to help her wipe the wine with tissues.

”What’s going on?!” Amido shouted in anger as she gathered herself.

The driver quickly replied, ”The car behind hit us, and it... seems intentional!”

Furiously, Amido pushed the assistant’s hand away, directly swung open the car door, and stormed towards the vehicle behind, glaring.

Her assistant swiftly got out of the car, trailing behind her.

Inside Bai Xiaosheng’s car, Fei’er watched Amido through the front window, her eyes lighting up, then she turned to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Go ahead, Mr. Bai, it’s your time to shine!”

Bai Xiaosheng, looking at Fei’er, was both amused and exasperated.

”Were you creating an opportunity for us to meet, or just trying to put me in a tight spot!”
