Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2814: Chapter 1984: Storming Out in Anger

”In the next five to ten years, our chamber of commerce must focus entirely on international cooperation. We should not limit our sights to Oceania; we need to expand our business to Europe, Asia, America, and Africa...”

”The vast international market will provide our enterprises with boundless development space and an endless stream of wealth...”

On stage, the president of the chamber of commerce spoke passionately.

Below the stage, Amido came to her senses and sneered inwardly.

These people are truly overambitious and unaware of their limits!

Instead of thinking about further refining their domestic business, they want to extend their influence to all continents?

Empty talk! Wishful thinking!

Crossing the ocean to compete with powerful foreign enterprises, won’t they end up being swallowed whole in the end!

Is this also Bai Xiaosheng’s trickery?

Amido glanced slightly sideways, peering at that young face out of the corner of her eye.

To be honest, she should hate Bai Xiaosheng, and with extreme hatred at that.

Oddly enough, however, she also felt a strange fear towards Bai Xiaosheng.

This man was probably the first in history to make her feel frightened.

Besides hate and fear, she even felt a bizarre sense of being conquered by him.

Perhaps strong women all desire a man above them.

Bai Xiaosheng did not look at Amido, remaining focused on the president on stage, still wearing a calm smile.

”Thanks to Mr. Bai Xiaosheng’s introduction, we will gain a large group of quality overseas partners,” the president of the chamber of commerce stated with a slightly excited expression, ”So accordingly, with the business cooperation plan we unanimously passed last month, I think it is time to make some changes now.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the crowd below immediately erupted.

”Indeed, indeed!”

”That’s as it should be!”

”We must follow the trend and make timely changes!”

Almost everyone loudly agreed.

Suddenly, a sharp female voice rang out, filled with anger and astonishment, ”Is it a joke to change a business plan that was already unanimously approved?”

The speaker even stood up directly, glaring at the president on stage, and looked around at the people of the chamber.

It was none other than Amido.

Amido had never expected that not only was she not getting the presidency, but even her painstakingly promoted business cooperation plan was also to be changed!

That plan was something she had carefully considered and poured all her energy into for over a year!

To get everyone’s agreement, she privately met with countless people and drank with them numerous times, which finally led to unanimous approval last month.

And Bai Xiaosheng made them abandon it in just a few days?

Outrageous!

The key point is that in order to implement this business plan, Amido’s own company had already completed its strategic transformation ahead of time.

After all, it was her own plan, and she needed to set an example for others to follow.

If the chamber of commerce fully abandons this plan, her own company will truly be at a loss, perhaps even suffering massive losses!

While gaining or losing the presidency is about honor, dignity, and ambition, the change in the plan touches on livelihood, survival, and death!

Amido’s shock and anger were understandable.

The attendees, all large business owners, naturally knew why Amido reacted this way, but they remained indifferent, feeling there was nothing inappropriate.

After all, businessmen pursue profit.

As the saying goes, mercy governs no soldiers, righteousness runs no business.

On stage, the president half-smiled at Amido, raising his voice, ”Miss Amido, the cooperation plan of the chamber must serve everyone as a prerequisite and is never set in stone. Even the law can be amended, don’t you think?”

”If it must change, it should follow the rules!” Amido retorted angrily.

”That’s why I’m seeking everyone’s opinion now.”

The president responded leisurely, still maintaining his good-guy demeanor, his expression as harmless as ever.

Amido retorted harshly, ”Then I am the first to disagree!”

”You know, the rule of the chamber is majority rules over minority.” The president smiled, looked at the others, ”All those in favor, please raise your hand.”

Everyone silently raised their hands.

Amido looked left and right.

Other than Bai Xiaosheng and the unrelated people, everyone had raised their hands.

”You all!” Amido was so angry that she grinded her teeth.

Amido turned back and unexpectedly saw the president on stage raising his hand and smiling at her.

”Miss Amido, majority rules over minority,” the president emphasized again.

Amido felt the gazes of everyone around her, all of which she perceived as ridicule and mockery, making it impossible for her to remain there.

Amido looked angrily at Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng looked at her innocently.

Furious, Amido stomped her foot, picked up her bag, and left with a sullen face.

The attendees watched her leave in silence, without a word to detain her.

Amido’s assistant quickly got up to catch up with her.

As Amido slammed the door of the conference room, she could still hear the president behind her loudly saying, ”Let’s continue with the next agenda...”

Walking along the red carpet she came in on, Amido felt wronged and furious. She looked at the colorful flowers beside the carpet, full of unspeakable anger, and kicked them over.

Her assistant, following behind, did not dare utter a sound, fearing to provoke her further.

After Amido left, Phil, sitting next to Lin Weiwei, could not help but stare blankly. Then she tugged at Lin Weiwei and whispered urgently, ”Did Mr. Bai orchestrate this just to humiliate Amido and make her leave in anger? How does that help solve our immediate predicament? What if she’s so mad that she refuses to reconcile with us?”

Lin Weiwei immediately smiled cheerfully, ”Well, there’s nothing we can do about that. Even our Mr. Bai Xiaosheng isn’t a god; he can’t save the day every single time. Isn’t he allowed to fail once or twice?”

Phil was dumbfounded to hear that and looked at Lin Weiwei incredulously, trying to see if she was joking.

”We’re in a meeting, keep it down.” Lin Weiwei made a shushing gesture, pointing to the stage.

Phil had no choice but to close her mouth.

The president on stage was still speaking passionately, and Bai Xiaosheng was listening intently below.

Another two hours later, the meeting finally ended.

Bai Xiaosheng then apologized to the chamber president and everyone present, saying he needed to leave early.

After some reluctance to let him go, they all hurriedly escorted Bai Xiaosheng out.

The hotel staff were startled at the sight, giving Bai Xiaosheng, who stood at the center of attention, particularly reverent looks.

Lin Weiwei, Lei Ying, and Phil followed behind.

Leaving from the hotel, Bai Xiaosheng and the others headed straight to Amido Company.

”You guys are something else, offending people thoroughly and then planning to visit them,” Phil admired this ”god-like move” greatly on the ride.

She then sighed, ”I hope we’re not going to be met with a closed door!”
