Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2803: Chapter 1978: Termination of Cooperation? (Part 2)

”By the way, I heard you’re in the same country. Caroline is very upset because you’re there...”

...

Bai Xiaosheng understood.

It seems this is the reason things suddenly changed.

Someone as cautious as Caroline would never take risks.

Especially when her rival, me, is right here.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t hide anything from Robert and said directly, ”The incident with Lan GO Company is related to me.”

”Related to you...” Robert was first surprised, then muttered, ”I was just wondering why you were inquiring about this matter. Oh, I remember you saying you went to Oceania, I just didn’t expect you were there.”

Then, Robert was a bit annoyed, ”If I knew it involved you, I would have informed you right away!”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled upon hearing this, ”Although things happened quite suddenly here, it hasn’t posed too much trouble for me. But I didn’t expect things to go smoothly on your side.”

Robert plans to overthrow his sister and reclaim his position in the family, lifting the long-standing shadow on his heart.

His first task is to become Caroline’s true confidant.

Now it seems things are going well on his end. Caroline’s trust in him is growing; she even lets him peruse confidential documents.

”As long as it doesn’t affect you, that’s good. Just tell me what you need me to do!” Robert said straightforwardly.

Bai Xiaosheng immediately laughed, ”These little matters don’t require you to take risks. Don’t worry about things here.”

At the moment, there’s no need to use Robert, a crucial hidden piece, yet.

”Alright. If you ever need anything, just let me know, and I’ll act cautiously,” Robert said.

Bai Xiaosheng hesitated slightly but still expressed his true thoughts, ”However, when I act against the corporate side here, it’s likely that the interests of your family may be affected. If you have any concerns, feel free to tell me.”

Bai Xiaosheng feared it might influence Robert’s mindset.

To his surprise, Robert chuckled softly.

”You don’t need to worry about me in matters like this. Do what you must; I understand the strategy behind it.”

”Besides, regarding the private cooperation in Oceania, I personally understand it to some extent, and I strongly disapprove of it!”

”You can make money with legitimate business; there’s no need to take risks. Short-term gains can be great, but if anything were to go wrong, it would cause many problems.”

”Moreover, we have to share the profits gained through risky measures with others, like Vice Chairman Morgan; that in itself makes me extremely unsatisfied.”

”Caroline, just to gain Morgan’s personal support, gambles the entire family’s risks, and that infuriates me the most.”

”It’d be best if you could help our family eliminate this trouble!”

...

Bai Xiaosheng did not expect Robert would think this way, with such an open-minded attitude.

”With your words, I’m at ease. When you regain control of the family, I will definitely cooperate closely with you and ensure your family’s wealth doesn’t decline.”

These words were sincerely spoken by Bai Xiaosheng.

Robert also genuinely expressed his gratitude.

After hanging up the phone, Bai Xiaosheng felt assured.

Caroline currently doesn’t know what he’s doing; it’s just her innate sense of crisis that made her retract her lines and act cautiously.

This is good, without actively alarming the snake, it’ll crawl back into its hole and huddle.

You can believe that Lan GO Company is only one among many, and if all targeted dozens or hundreds of enterprises are like this, many clues and flaws will inevitably appear.

At that time, the elites from the Surveillance Department can make the most of their talents and grab onto their tail!

Thinking of this, Bai Xiaosheng even felt a bit thankful for Caroline’s sudden actions.

He picked up his phone and started sending group messages.

Just then, footsteps were heard from outside.

”Guoba” had returned.

”Mr. Bai, I’ve arranged the car, and if you leave now, you’ll arrive just in time,” ”Mr. Guoba” said to Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng put away his phone, smiling, stood up, and said, ”’Guoba’, thank you.”

”Mr. Guoba” smiled slightly and made a gesture inviting him forward.

Thereafter, Bai Xiaosheng went alone and rushed to Lan GO Company by car.

The journey was silent.

Bai Xiaosheng got out of the car at the entrance of Lan GO Company’s building and immediately saw Deputy General Manager Abbot waiting at the entrance.

Abbot saw Bai Xiaosheng, still somewhat hesitant. After seeing Bai Xiaosheng approach several times, Zhang Wang seemed to confirm it was him and then smiled, stepping forward to greet him.

”Welcome, Mr. Lin, Mr. Zate asked me to meet you here.”

During the last meeting, this person claimed his name was ”Lin” something, which was somewhat difficult to pronounce. But this word, Abbot could still remember.

Abbot spoke while casting a curious glance behind Bai Xiaosheng.

This meeting today is so important, yet this person did not bring a single attendant, not even an assistant?

Not even Mr. Guoba tagged along?

Is this to say that this person is extraordinarily powerful, able to handle everything alone?

Or do they not realize the seriousness and are treating this too lightly?

”Lin, today’s matter involves an important affair between us and the Auston Family. I wonder if coming alone... you can make decisions?”

Abbot’s tone became somewhat frivolous.

Thinking of the last meeting, this man named ”Lin” was quite aggressive, causing them significant trouble and annoyance.

Now, this person comes alone, showing lack of seriousness and arrogance.

Abbot was quite displeased.

But this time it’s different.

The higher-ups have ordered termination, and Mr. Zate mentioned there’s no need to fear anything anymore, so naturally, there’s no need to give the other party much face.

Abbot’s demeanor suddenly shifted.

Bai Xiaosheng noticed and responded with a faint smile.

”I am here, so of course, I can make decisions.”

”Mr. Zate can make decisions on your side as well. As for you, Mr. Abbot... lead the way.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s last sentence was spoken lightly, seemingly without any momentum, with a calm tone and no trace of mockery.

However, the implication in his words made Abbot’s face turn somewhat pale.

This man was saying that he was insignificant, only fit to do the work of leading the way?

Don’t be fooled by your sharp words now; later, I want to see you embarrassed!

Abbot cursed inwardly but did not speak it out loud.

He turned with a slightly cold expression, and walked ahead, leading the way.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled slightly and followed behind.

Not long after, Bai Xiaosheng and Abbot arrived again at the lounge where they had talked last time.

Abbot knocked on the door and heard Zate’s voice from inside, then opened the door, gesturing for Bai Xiaosheng to enter.

Bai Xiaosheng confidently walked in, even closing the door behind him, almost hitting Abbot on the nose, who wanted to also go in and speak to Zate.

”Rude! Disrespectful! Bastard!”

Abbot angrily muttered in a low voice at the door.

Initially, he still wanted to push the door open, but then he recalled what Elder Zate had told him before, to wait outside while he spoke with Bai Xiaosheng alone.

Abbot also felt that now entering would mean going out again in front of that Chinese man, and it wasn’t something dignified.

He silently swallowed his frustration, gloomily staying outside.

In the reception room, Bai Xiaosheng saw Elder Zate sitting there, his expression seemingly amused as he nodded at him, without any intention of standing up.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, unbothered, and stepped forward, directly sitting opposite Elder Zate.

”Mr. Lin, we meet again.” Elder Zate said cheerfully, ”I remember last time we were discussing cooperation in this very room. Who would have thought, so soon, we would regretfully discuss terminating the contract; fate is indeed whimsical.”

Bai Xiaosheng also laughed, ”Mr. Zate, there’s no need to be so regretful; I don’t think our cooperation is so easily terminated.”

Zate raised his eyelids slightly, ”Mr. Lin, did you think I invited you here for discussion? You might be mistaken; I am notifying you.”

”And also requesting you to keep certain things confidential!”

”If leaked,” Zate spread his hands, ”the Auston Family might face considerable trouble!”

Bai Xiaosheng laughed upon hearing this, ”Mr. Zate, don’t try to scare me. If the cooperation terminates, maybe Mr. Auston will fire me. Would I still care about the Auston Family? I would definitely reveal this matter, and then I would not fear your retaliation when I return to Huaxia. As for Mr. Zate, can you be as carefree as I am?”

Zate’s smile stiffened upon hearing this, then gradually faded from his face.

His gaze became sharp, staring at Bai Xiaosheng with a somewhat intimidating look, ”You are threatening me.”

Bai Xiaosheng laughed openly, ”Clearly, you threatened my livelihood first!”
