Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2842: Chapter 1996: All Is Ready (2)

”Thank you for your hard work,” Fei’er said.

”Look at you saying that, it’s what I should do!”

On the other side, Lei Ying left Ice Spring Valley Company and drove off in the direction of the airport.

Jonas’ secretary watched Lei Ying’s car disappear from view, then turned around to report back.

In the car, Lei Ying made a phone call to Lin Weiwei.

”Everything is in place on my side, and I happened to run into Fei’er. Just as Sheng predicted, she couldn’t wait and came today. Considering the flight times from Daqing Reef to here, it really is now. Sometimes, I truly admire Sheng’s extraordinary calculations. I also told Fei’er about my itinerary to Lagodi. She could probably look up my flight information and may, eventually, take a flight to Lagodi.”

Lei Ying was carrying a ticket and was heading towards the airport.

However, in the end, he wouldn’t board the plane.

Fei’er was misled by Lei Ying and would fly to Lagodi to look for Bai Xiaosheng, which would undoubtedly cost her some time. By the time she realized that Bai Xiaosheng and his two companions were still in Domido City and rushed over, Bai Xiaosheng and the others might have really gone to Lagodi by then.

This ”little tail” is ultimately a level below Bai Xiaosheng in terms of wits.

Meanwhile, Bai Xiaosheng was meeting behind closed doors with Zack, sitting face to face with a contract in front of them.

They were finalizing the first phase of cooperation between the two parties.

In general, Bai Xiaosheng would invest 4.5 billion, acquiring 25% of the Zack family’s company shares, and securing a piece of land.

As for future cooperation, Bai Xiaosheng would decide after Zack verified his claims and let the land generate ”added value.”

That means Zack had to demonstrate to Bai Xiaosheng how to maneuver between Ice Spring Valley Company and Golun International Subsidiary to seek profits...

”Mr. Bai, I truly need this money to keep going, so I’m really selling my flesh here. A prime piece of land plus 25% of my company’s shares, all packaged for 4.5 billion, it’s unheard of!” Zack signed the contract, feeling the pinch.

Packing and selling is easy; thinking of buying it back at this price is impossible.

”Mr. Zack, you are making the right decision,” Bai Xiaosheng encouraged.

”I underestimated your astuteness!” Zack acknowledged.

Subsequently, Zack added, ”To show you how to make that profitless deal, I have to remind you, that such matters can’t be rushed, especially now! Jonas from Ice Spring Valley Company told me that their group might send a senior team to allocate funds. If they do allocate full funds, they’ll have no reason to lend external capital. Naturally, I won’t be able to demonstrate this to you, and by then, you can’t blame me!”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled slightly, saying meaningfully, ”Don’t worry, Mr. Zack, our luck won’t be so bad.”

Zack shrugged and mumbled, ”Let’s hope so.”

”Let’s talk about something pleasant, my first batch of funds will soon be in place, and the rest will follow continuously. By that time, Mr. Zack, at least you won’t be troubled by funding issues anymore,” Bai Xiaosheng laughed. ”After this cooperation, we will become a real family.”

Zack felt invigorated when he thought of solving the funding issues, and expecting a promising future with Bai Xiaosheng, a wealthy partner, made him feel much better.

Just then, Zack’s phone rang.

Looking at the caller ID, Zack discovered it was Jonas from Ice Spring Valley Company calling.

Could it be that the cooperation is possible?

Zack’s first reaction was this.

”Mr. Bai, please wait here for a moment, I’ll step out to take the call,” Zack said to Bai Xiaosheng, and got up to leave.

”Is it something about a business that’s inconvenient to discuss in front of me?” Bai Xiaosheng said calmly.

Zack looked at Bai Xiaosheng’s expression, and felt a bit uneasy, but then he steeled his heart and sat back down.

”There’s nothing inconvenient! Mr. Bai, you already said, we will be family from now on!” Zack said openly.

Once he made the decision, he no longer concealed it and showed the phone displaying the name to Bai Xiaosheng.

”It’s a call from Mr. Jonas from Ice Spring Valley Company; lately, he rarely...almost never initiates contact with me. Calling now might be a turning point,” Zack shared his guess frankly.

Indeed, it would be good!

Didn’t Mr. Bai want him to verify that ”profitless deal”? Then, prove it to him!

Perhaps the next phase of cooperation could be facilitated through this! Zack thought.

”Better answer it, it’s been ringing for quite a while,” Bai Xiaosheng reminded.

Zack nodded repeatedly, answered the call, put the phone to his ear, and smiled, ”Hello, Mr. Jonas?”

A deep voice came from the other end of the line, ”It’s me, Mr. Zack?”

This call didn’t last long.

Zack was extremely excited, frequently exchanging glances with Bai Xiaosheng.

After hanging up, Zack impatiently said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Good news, Mr. Bai! Jonas from Ice Spring Valley just mentioned that they still need our help to borrow funds!”

Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes shone brightly.

”I knew it, our luck wouldn’t be that bad.”

Zack nodded repeatedly, expressing his feelings, ”We have to thank that senior executive sent by the Zhenbei Group, who only allocated part of the funds instead of all of them, also allowing them to borrow money, urging them to expedite everything. Isn’t this divine assistance?”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled upon hearing this.

Helping himself indeed feels like divine assistance.

Yet all this is something Zack is completely unaware of.

Jonas is similarly in the dark.

”However, there’s one more thing I need to discuss with you in advance,” Zack continued, ”regarding the collateral land used in our previous tripartite collaboration. It has always been the most valuable piece, which is currently under your control. I need you to authorize us to use it. It’s not that we can’t use our piece to replace it, but any abrupt change might provoke unnecessary questions and trouble. I think it’s best not to create new complications. What do you think?”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded, ”Okay.”

Zack was immediately delighted, about to compliment Bai Xiaosheng’s generosity, when Bai Xiaosheng said, ”But, I’ll need to send someone over to oversee the entire process, also as a way to be involved. Is that a problem?”

Zack was taken aback for a moment and then understood.

This Mr. Bai is worried about being sidelined or even being taken advantage of without knowing.

It makes sense—since their cooperation has just started, and they are unfamiliar with each other.

Though he would never deceive this major investor, it’s always best to give the other party peace of mind.

”No problem,” Zack generously said.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, picking up the teacup in front of him, and said to Zack, ”Then I’ll use tea instead of wine to wish our cooperation success and prosperity in this business with no capital.”

”Cheers! Cheers!” Zack laughed, raising his cup for a toast with Bai Xiaosheng.

With everything settled, Bai Xiaosheng and Zack emerged from the resting room.

Beno, who was pacing outside, smiled as he saw movement and approached.

”Father, Mr. Bai, how did your conversation go?” Beno asked.

In fact, seeing the two’s friendly demeanor, Beno already knew it was a good result.

Zack waved his hand directly, instructing Beno, ”Prepare a feast, let’s celebrate joyously today, for we are family from now on!”

Beno was surprised, looking at Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”Mr. Beno, if you plan to develop in Huaxia in the future, I’ll support you.”

Beno was overjoyed upon hearing this.

It seems indeed they have become intimate allies.

Beno immediately went to arrange everything.

Both parties feasted, with all leaving satisfied, which goes without saying.

When Bai Xiaosheng left with his team, he left a retainer with Zack and his son, ostensibly to assist them but in reality to oversee the fund-borrowing plan.

That night, according to the news from Zack, Golun International Subsidiary had already finalized the plan.

The next day, the three parties would meet to confirm the details and quickly arrange for everything to be on track.

Bai Xiaosheng praised the swift action, though in his heart he remained calm.

Because everything is progressing exactly as planned, without any deviation!

Before retiring for the night, Bai Xiaosheng received another call.

The caller was none other than Fei’er.

Fei’er, on the phone, was partly teasing, partly playful, and a bit smug.

”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, which city are you in Lagodi? I’ll come to find you. I’m here!”
