Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2820: Chapter 1987: Extracting Information

Early the next morning, just after Bai Xiaosheng and the others had breakfast, the car sent by Amido to pick them up arrived.

Amido’s private jet was set to depart in forty minutes, heading to Domido City in Kajash.

This plane was ”borrowed” by Amido’s cousin, Yado, from her.

Yesterday, Bai Xiaosheng mentioned to Amido that he wanted to hitch a ride on a plane, so naturally, they had to follow Yado’s arrangements. Fortunately, Bai Xiaosheng had already arranged for someone responsible for everything before the previous night, leaving nothing to worry about.

If there’s any need for further communication, they would simply make a phone call.

The three of them took the car to the airport, and once they confirmed that the driver didn’t understand the Huaxia language, they began talking in Huaxia.

”I really didn’t expect that Yado could become the vice president of Golun International; how does Golun International select leadership positions!” Lin Weiwei remarked with great feeling.

Don’t think she was praising that man with her words.

Lin Weiwei had been around Bai Xiaosheng for years, and compared to Bai Xiaosheng, Yado didn’t seem remarkable at all.

Bai Xiaosheng was even younger than Yado but had already become the business president of the Zhenbei Group, which was a more prestigious position.

Not to mention, Bai Xiaosheng privately owned a dozen or so highly powerful enterprises and was even a chieftain with his own domain of a country.

So Yado’s achievements were not surprising, they just seemed unexpected relative to him.

After all, Yado was a bit too arrogant and flamboyant, not fitting the demeanour one would expect of a vice president of a company like Golun International.

”I’m also quite puzzled,” Lei Ying added.

If Yado were merely naturally proud, that would be one thing, but he also carried an air of frivolity, and it always seemed like his wisdom and emotional intelligence were not up to the level of a vice president of a big company.

Bai Xiaosheng, hearing this, smiled slightly.

He too had doubts, but after learning the inside story, he was no longer surprised.

”Golun International doesn’t just have one vice president; some hold high positions with power, while others are more leisurely, with merely a nominal title. The vice president that Mr. Yado leads is central, with some real power, but nothing particularly significant,” Bai Xiaosheng explained, ”As for how he became a vice president, credit goes to his girlfriend.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying exchanged a glance, both showing a look of curiosity, feeling that Bai Xiaosheng seemed to know a lot of gossip and inside information.

”So there’s something about his girlfriend?”

”Golun International isn’t a family business; it’s jointly held by many major shareholders, and even if it’s a titular position, the vice president is still a prestigious high-level position. Even the largest shareholder probably can’t make arbitrary appointments.” ℴℴ𝘮

Yesterday, after Bai Xiaosheng’s explanation, the two had learned a bit about Golun International’s background.

Golun International is a comprehensive group established by a European, and today, the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family holds 30% of the shares, being the largest shareholder.

However, there are also two other major shareholders holding another 50% of the shares, with the rest being numerous small shareholders.

For the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family to supposedly be so arbitrary, able to appoint a vice president, seemed unbelievable.

”You know Golun International is held by many parties, but do you know that besides the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family, the other two major shareholders are actually two companies, which coincidentally are also controlled by the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family,” Bai Xiaosheng said calmly.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were stunned upon hearing this, looking at each other.

So in that case, despite going around in circles, Golun International is ultimately still owned by the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family.

”Then it is a real family business,” Lin Weiwei murmured.

Lei Ying also said, ”So this means the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family can indeed directly appoint high-level executives.”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled and continued, ”Speaking of Yado’s girlfriend, she is actually the pampered young miss of the Morgan Vice Chairman’s family, his most beloved little granddaughter. Their relationship was kept hidden but became public a year ago when a journalist caught them, coinciding with the time Mr. Yado became the vice president of Golun. The coincidence is so subtle, isn’t it?”

Bai Xiaosheng continued, ”Whether the Morgan Vice Chairman saw Yado as a worthwhile talent or couldn’t refuse his granddaughter’s pleas, or thought Yado’s status didn’t match his granddaughter and wanted to give him a position—that’s up to how you interpret it; there are various opinions online.”

Upon hearing Bai Xiaosheng speak, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying immediately went ”Oh,” with meaningful expressions.

So Yado is just living off a woman, eh?

Looking back at his proud demeanor now, it seems a bit ridiculous.

”I didn’t expect you, Xiaosheng, to be a senior gossip enthusiast, having researched this so thoroughly. Did you stay up late last night just browsing all this?” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but curiously ask.

Lei Ying, however, rubbed his chin, ”I didn’t expect Yado to be completely living off a woman, yet act so proud. I really can’t understand how someone like that has such a thick skin. But speaking of which, I noticed the way he looked at Fei’er and Weiwei yesterday, it was like he was practically glowing. Isn’t he afraid that his girlfriend will find out and ruin all his prospects?”

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled and lazily said, ”Who knows, maybe it’s because he’s being too tightly controlled, so he likes to flirt around outside. Maybe all those around him are his confidants, so he can act recklessly. Or maybe it’s just his nature, and he’s audacious and good at sweet-talking, not afraid of slipping up with his girlfriend.”
