Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2841: Chapter 1996: Everything Is Ready

Jonas, the general manager of Ice Spring Valley Company, was genuinely surprised and delighted after hearing the message conveyed by Lei Ying from Bai Xiaosheng.

The shady dealings behind his company and Golun International Subsidiary were originally not meant to be seen. But this time, using the typhoon and tsunami as a force majeure, not only were they openly displayed, but funding from the Zhenbei Group headquarters was also rightfully requested.

Bai Xiaosheng allocated two-thirds of the application funds and instructed them to find a way to resolve the remaining gap, even providing ”guidance” advice―external borrowing.

This is simply... amazing!

Since it’s Bai Xiaosheng’s directive, there’s no room for hesitation; the remaining funds will definitely go the borrowing route. Even if investigated later, Bai Xiaosheng will take the fall for them!

Jonas joyfully walked through the borrowing ”process” in his mind, sticking to the old way:

Ice Spring Valley Company borrows funds from the largest local real estate company, Zack, to repay the compensation owed to Golun International Subsidiary.

Zack only looks good on the surface but actually has financial issues. No problem, still using part of the land as collateral to get money from Golun International Subsidiary.

Ice Spring Valley Company is borrowing Golun International’s money to repay Golun International’s debt.

Of course, regarding the issue of interest on the borrowed money, it needs to consider the actual situation locally, and with Bai Xiaosheng’s approval from headquarters, higher interest is inevitable.

The borrowed money plus interest, Ice Spring Valley Company will have to repay it later from operational profits, meaning for quite a long period, they don’t have to contribute to the parent company...

There’s ample space for operational profit here!

The key is that it can be done openly, which is simply wonderful!

Jonas felt at ease thinking about the portion that could fall into his pocket.

”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng said that you need to hurry, it’s best to complete the debt clearing within a week.” Lei Ying told Jonas, ”If it takes too long, Mr. Bai won’t be happy and might even come in person to handle specific affairs.”

Upon hearing this from Lei Ying, Jonas quickly said, ”Please tell Mr. Bai Xiaosheng that we will resolve the issue in the shortest time possible, at the fastest speed, and will not disappoint him!”

It’s a joke, if Bai Xiaosheng is summoned here, personally interferes in the affairs, wouldn’t they be in danger?

Jonas decided silently that he’d make a call to Zack first thing when he got a chance and also contact Golun International Subsidiary to expedite the borrowing funds!

Absolutely not giving Bai Xiaosheng a chance to come back!

Fei’er, standing by the side with her arms crossed, picked up the topic, complaining about Bai Xiaosheng to Lei Ying, ”You say your Mr. Bai is really something, helping us in the Sixth Business Division solve troubles, but elusive and nowhere to be found, even the help is discounted. He asked our enterprise to solve part of the financial problem ourselves, our enterprise reported this issue to headquarters, he can’t deny it.”

Lei Ying chuckled and said, ”Naturally, he must own up to it.”

Nearby, Jonas seemed to be inspired by Fei’er, toned down his emotions, even appearing slightly distressed, and said in a deep voice, ”I am personally very grateful to Mr. Bai for solving most of our financial problems. As for the remaining part, although difficult... we must follow Mr. Bai’s guidance and strive to do well.”

”Then we look forward to your good news.” Lei Ying nodded with a smile, looked at the time, and said, ”It’s getting late now, I should be going.”

”You’re leaving now? Why the hurry, stay for a while, let us extend a little hospitality...” Jonas quickly said courteously.

Lei Ying smiled, ”Ice Spring Valley Company is currently deeply troubled, I won’t add to your problems. Besides, thank you, Mr. Jonas, for your kind offer, I appreciate it. Mr. Jonas should quickly resolve your issues to avoid bothering Mr. Bai Xiaosheng further.”

”Yes, yes.” Jonas replied multiple times, then said emotionally, ”This Mr. Lei really deserves to be by Mr. Bai’s side, he’s touching in how he connects with businesses.”

Lei Ying chuckled, choosing not to respond to his facetious remarks.

Beside them, Fei’er suddenly asked, ”Lei Ying, where are you heading now?”

Although Lei Ying hadn’t mentioned Bai Xiaosheng’s whereabouts, since he’s beside Bai Xiaosheng, wherever he goes, Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t be far.

”Miss Fei’er, I really don’t know where Mr. Bai is.” Lei Ying naturally understood her thoughts.

”I’m asking about you, where are you going?” Fei’er stared at Lei Ying and continued to ask.

Lei Ying had no choice but to say, ”I’m leaving Kajash now and catching a flight to the next island country―Lagodi. I’m under Mr. Bai Xiaosheng’s arrangement, going ahead to scout.”

Lei Ying emphasized the word ”ahead,” indicating he is alone.

Fei’er seemed unimpressed, only nodded without further inquiry.

”Then I’ll take my leave.” Lei Ying said goodbye again.

Fei’er wished him a smooth journey.

Jonas did the same, even personally seeing Lei Ying off at the door and asking the secretary outside to escort him downstairs.

Once the door closed, the office was left with just Fei’er and Jonas, neither of them brought up business matters, considering it a mutual understanding.

Fei’er suddenly asked, ”Mr. Jonas, do you have any acquaintances over at Domido City Airport?”

By acquaintances, Fei’er didn’t just mean a mere acquaintance, nor just a low-level staff member.

Jonas understood and said, ”You want to check that person’s itinerary? Leave it to me, although it’s somewhat complicated, since it’s your request.”
