Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2816: Chapter 1985: Taking Down Amido (2)

The assistant agreed, ”Yes, we’ll hold them by the throat on this matter! Never give in!”

”Wasn’t Zhenbei Group sending him here to solve the problem? I’ll make sure he can’t resolve it, and in the end, the group won’t spare him!”

”Absolutely, Bai Xiaosheng will definitely be reprimanded by the group, no, punished!” the assistant affirmed, ”In the end, he’ll have to come begging us!”

”Beg me? I won’t budge an inch, I want him to taste the bitter fruit!”

The assistant nodded heavily, ”Yes, let him come beg us, and we won’t even pay him any mind! Even if he’s some executive president, if he can’t complete the task assigned by the group, he’ll lose face and his stature will greatly diminish!”

With the assistant echoing her words and helping to vent her emotions, and after a round of destruction earlier, Amido finally managed to calm her inner fury.

Just then, there was a knock on the door from the outside.

The assistant opened the door, and the servant outside cautiously looked at Amido, saying, ”Miss Amido, someone seeks an audience.”

A few minutes ago, Amido would have dispatched them with a hasty ”not seeing them” without even asking.

However, her mood had improved a lot, so she coldly asked, ”Who has come?”

”They said they are from the Zhenbei Group, led by a young man named Bai Xiaosheng,” the servant replied.

With a single sentence, the assistant became instantly nervous, unable to resist looking at Amido, as if afraid her emotions might explode again.

Amido was taken aback, her brows furrowing tightly, a fierce glint in her eyes.

”Who did you say is leading?”

The servant saw Amido’s unfriendly demeanor and was startled, but dared not not answer, swallowing hard before saying, ”He said, his name is Bai Xiaosheng.”

”Not seeing!”

Though Amido didn’t roar, she uttered those two words lowly, each filled with deep-seated anger, speaking heavily, like two stones.

”Did you hear? Not seeing, hurry and let them leave!” the assistant whispered to the servant.

The servant, knowing well that their master had just erupted in anger, fearfully turned to leave.

However, Amido’s gaze fixed on a point in the air and suddenly said, ”Wait.”

The assistant quickly called the servant back, looking at Amido.

”He ruined my opportunity and spoiled my plans, he’s merely trying to force me into submission, now is he here to threaten me?” Amido sneered, ”Why shouldn’t I take this chance to give him a thorough scolding!”

After muttering to herself, Amido looked up and told the assistant, ”This person, I want to meet him alone, right here! Make the arrangements!”

”Alright!” The assistant immediately nodded, leaving with the servant and casually closing the door.

With the door closed, Amido’s eyes flickered with uncertainty.

In front of the servants, harsh words had to be said, and they were easy to say. But right now, her situation was indeed precarious.

Especially with her business currently at a standstill, things could turn disastrous, leading to a significant setback.

This visit from Bai Xiaosheng might not be without opportunities.

Thinking rationally, Amido felt it necessary to see him.

A mature businessperson cannot ruin matters over temporary emotions or personal grudges.

...

Bai Xiaosheng and three others were ushered into the castle by Amido’s assistant, walking all the way inside.

Along the way, Bai Xiaosheng strolled as if he were leisurely taking a walk, while admiring the interior decor, nodding continuously.

His demeanor was as if he was merely a guest.

Upon reaching the living room, the assistant politely addressed Bai Xiaosheng, ”Our Miss Amido only wishes to see you; the rest, please stay here for the moment.”

On the way here, Bai Xiaosheng had already mentioned this issue.

Now that Miss Amido made such a request, Fei’er naturally had no objections, and Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying had even less to say.

”Then please, lead the way,” Bai Xiaosheng said pleasantly.

The assistant promptly gestured, ”Please,” leading the way.

Bai Xiaosheng followed behind, heading straight for Amido’s study.

Along the way, some information surfaced in Bai Xiaosheng’s mind, some private details about Amido.

Amido was nearing forty, never married, but a woman like her didn’t lack male suitors.

She had parents and siblings, many people depended on her for survival, she was tied to her family.

This woman loved beauty and took care of her appearance; at home, servants and staff referred to her as ”Miss” rather than ”Madam.”

Based on available information, her business style was strong, and she had excellent networking skills. If it weren’t for leveraging overwhelmingly superior resources to win over the business circle, the circle might eventually, under her leadership, unveil an unprecedented spectacle, turning from tiger to dragon...

”What an extraordinary woman,” Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but think to himself.

”Here we are,”

He was thinking that when the assistant stopped at a door and courteously said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Our Miss Amido is inside.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded with a smile to the assistant.

The assistant knocked first, and only after a response from within did he open the door and invite Bai Xiaosheng to enter.

After Bai Xiaosheng stepped inside, the assistant closed the door from the outside.

After all, Miss Amido had expressly said she wanted to talk to this man alone.

The assistant wisely kept guard outside to prevent any sudden interruptions.

Upon entering the study, Bai Xiaosheng saw a graceful silhouette seated on the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window, accompanied by the aroma of coffee.

It was Amido.

Amido, in casual loungewear, was elegantly brewing coffee, speaking without turning her head, ”What an influx of distinguished guests.”

Amido’s words were calm, her expression serene, as if the stormy destruction in this study mere minutes ago had nothing to do with her; she was a goddess, poised and elegant, even in these circumstances.
