Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2802: Chapter 1978: Cooperation Terminated?

On the fifth day on Liwu Island in Mogran, Bai Xiaosheng was having breakfast when he received a message from his ”stand-in” saying that everything was fine on the Olige side, and work could be resumed the day after tomorrow.

That was good news indeed.

As Bai Xiaosheng was finishing his instructions and hanging up the phone, ”Mr. Guoba” came rushing to find him.

”Have you eaten, Mr. Guoba?” Bai Xiaosheng put down his knife and fork, greeting ”Mr. Guoba” with a smile.

”Already eaten.” ”Mr. Guoba” nodded with a smile, his face looking a bit unusual.

Without waiting for Bai Xiaosheng to ask, ”Mr. Guoba” took the initiative to say, ”Mr. Bai, Lan GO Company has just sent a letter saying that our products and services can’t meet their requirements, and they want to immediately terminate the cooperation with us, which means Okrak!”

”Mr. Guoba” wasted no time, he directly informed Bai Xiaosheng of the news and handed over a contract termination letter.

The termination of the contract with the Auston Family’s Okrak Company actually impacts Bai Xiaosheng.

”Mr. Guoba” naturally informed him first.

Bai Xiaosheng was taken aback by this, surprised as he took the letter from ”Mr. Guoba’s” hand and browsed through it.

This was indeed an unexpected and sudden situation.

The critical part was that Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying hadn’t sent any news.

”Mr. Guoba” continued, ”Lan GO Company declared that there would be a face-to-face briefing at around 10 this morning, and they require us to bring someone to attend it!”

The so-called briefing, ”Mr. Guoba” guessed, was more like a way to keep us quiet. After all, the cooperation between the two parties was not something noble.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded while reading the documents, ”Understood, then I’d better go and take a look!”

”Shall I go with you?” ”Mr. Guoba” asked.

”There’s no need, I can go by myself.” Bai Xiaosheng refused.

At that time, it would be up to Bai Xiaosheng to confront them directly; having ”Mr. Guoba” there wouldn’t make much difference.

”Alright, I’ll arrange a car for you,” said ”Mr. Guoba”, without any nonsense or affectation.

”Mr. Guoba” completely adhered to the instructions of his uncle Auston—

Whatever Bai Xiaosheng required, he executed it; whatever Bai Xiaosheng didn’t need, he would absolutely not intrude.

Initially, anyone who saw this chubby man might think he was stupid in his words and actions, raising doubts about how a family could foster such a person, believing he’s worthless.

But the longer the interaction, the more you realize that this chubby man is truly conversant with the philosophy of existence, genuinely a person of great wisdom appearing foolish.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled at ”Mr. Guoba”, ”Thank you for your help.”

”No need to mention it; it’s what I’m supposed to do. I’ll go prepare now,” ”Mr. Guoba” replied, then left in a rush.

Bai Xiaosheng’s gaze returned to the letter as he pondered deeply.

Just then, a sudden phone ring interrupted his train of thought.

Bai Xiaosheng picked up his phone, discovering it was Lin Weiwei calling him, and instantly answered it, ”Weiwei, what’s the matter?”

”Xiaosheng, there’s been a change over here. The people from Lan GO Company left without a word. When we proactively contacted them, they didn’t even answer the phone. The people we sent over were also just turned away,” Lin Weiwei said anxiously over the call.

Turns out Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were only now experiencing the change; before, there hadn’t even been a hint of it.

And the other side really was ruthless, showing no signs until the last minute!

”Weiwei, they’ve terminated the contract with Okrak, the letter just arrived, and it’s still here with me,” Bai Xiaosheng replied, ”You and Lei Ying proceed with the implementation of the agreed-upon second-phase strategy.”

Though the changes were swift, fortunately, Bai Xiaosheng was cautious and had pre-emptively prepared plans.

”Alright, understood, I’m on it with Lei Ying right now!” Lin Weiwei composed herself and decisively responded.

After hanging up the phone, Bai Xiaosheng narrowed his eyes, murmuring softly, ”What exactly is going on here...”

Bai Xiaosheng had envisioned the possibility of this matter ending, but didn’t foresee it happening so soon, within just a few days.

The partnership ended abruptly, not even CEO Zate of Lan GO Company might have this authority.

It’s likely someone of a higher status.

Mrs. Margery?

Or Caroline?!

Lan GO Company is under Mrs. Margery’s enterprises, while that shell company is owned by the Caroline Family.

Only these two could utter words with the power to enforce immediate suspension.

With Mrs. Margery, Bai Xiaosheng naturally couldn’t inquire.

But with Caroline, Bai Xiaosheng did have insiders.

Bai Xiaosheng contemplated and sent a meaningless advertisement message to someone.

This was a set agreement.

Afterward, he patiently waited.

Not long after, a call came in, from an unfamiliar number, unsurprisingly, it was only intended to be used once.

Bai Xiaosheng answered the call, and a man’s voice came through, ”Bai Xiaosheng?”

”It’s me,” Bai Xiaosheng responded.

”Now it’s convenient on my side, I can talk, what is it?” the other said.

The voice’s owner was none other than Robert—Caroline’s younger brother, and currently Bai Xiaosheng’s ally and friend.

Bai Xiaosheng naturally had no reservations towards him, bluntly asked, ”Has your sister been paying attention to matters in Oceania recently.”

Robert barely hesitated and replied, ”Yes.”

Then Robert continued to say:

”Last night during dinner, Caroline received a report from Oceania, after reading it she was very angry, scolding the person in charge of a company there as foolish, and said they should terminate the cooperation immediately.”

”Caroline showed me the report, I remember it was from a company called Lan GO, who arrogantly inserted a third party into the cooperation with our family.”
