Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”President Liang, it’s no use begging me.”

Yu Xuan explained, ”I’m just an employee. I’m not the one in charge of the charity.”

”Then who is?” Liang Yan asked, a little curious.

Back then, all she knew was that Xu Yun had started a charity and had Yu Xuan take five million from her and Su Mu each for it. She didn’t have many details about the organization beyond that.

She had assumed Yu Xuan was the one managing it.

Su Mu was also a little surprised to hear this, as she had thought the same thing as Liang Yan.

Yu Xuan knew this sort of thing couldn’t be kept secret forever. Besides, Xu Yun wouldn’t bother to hide it; otherwise, he would have told her to keep quiet long ago.

So she answered, ”It’s President Jiang. Jiang Peiyao.”

”And who is she?” Li Jinshu asked immediately upon hearing the unfamiliar name.

That was the question on all the other women’s minds.

Liang Yan asked instinctively, ”Don’t tell me she’s another woman he just picked up from somewhere?”

”Picked up?”

Song Xiaowei asked, confused, ”What do you mean?”

”Oh, Xiaowei, you have no idea.”

Liang Yan immediately started to complain, ”Two beautiful women have shown up at my company one after another recently. Xu Yun sent them both. It’s such a headache.”

”Huh?”

Li Jinshu said in surprise, ”A beautiful woman showed up at my place a few days ago, too. She’s very capable, though.”

”...” The others were speechless.

For a moment, Yu Xuan also felt a wave of complicated emotions.

’How did so many women I don’t even know about pop up?’

’Is the boss being a little too efficient? She could hardly keep up with his womanizing!’

But she continued, ”You probably haven’t met President Jiang. I hear she used to live in Jiangcheng, too, and just came back from Rongcheng not long ago.”

There are, of course, degrees of closeness.

Although she was working with Jiang Peiyao now, she was closer to the women in front of her and had known them for much longer.

They weren’t sisters, but she wanted them to be.

”Rongcheng?”

Li Jinshu was the first to react. ”Didn’t Xu Yun just take a trip to Rongcheng?” she said.

”Sigh. Out with the old, in with the new.”

Liang Yan deliberately stirred the pot. ”She just arrived, and he gives her fifty million,” she sighed. ”We don’t get a single cent.”

”Don’t lump me in with you.”

Su Mu said, ”He also gave me fifty million in startup capital when my company opened.”

”I’m very satisfied, too.”

Li Jinshu smiled. ”He gave me ten million for my little fitness center.”

”That ten million was from me.”

”I know, I know.”

Li Jinshu said, ”Susu, if you’re willing, I’ll come sleep with you tonight. I guarantee you’ll have a pleasant evening.”

”Alright, come over tonight...” Su Mu replied.

”You’re all so high and mighty, so impressive. I guess I’m the only beggar here.”

Seeing that neither woman had taken her bait, Liang Yan could only turn and say sullenly, ”Secretary Yu, if you won’t give me money, then give me a way to contact President Xu. I’ll talk to him myself.”

”Secretary Yu, do you really have his contact info?”

Li Jinshu was interested in this. ”We want to contact him too,” she said. ”He’s been gone for almost a month without a single word. He’s so cruel—he goes on a trip and doesn’t even post on his Moments.”

Yu Xuan shook her head. ”Sorry, I really don’t.”

”I don’t believe you.”

Liang Yan said, ”Then how does your organization contact him? He even transferred money over.”

”I’m not sure. You’d have to ask our President Jiang.”

As soon as she said this, a mix of truly different feelings stirred in the hearts of the women present.

’What is the meaning of this?’

’Is he planning on showing favoritism to just her from now on?’

If it were Yu Xuan, they could accept it. After all, she was nominally Xu Yun’s personal secretary, so it would be normal for her to have his contact information.

’But who the hell is this Jiang Peiyao?’

’If he’s not going to contact us, then he shouldn’t contact anyone. That would be fair!’

’But now Xu Yun is giving someone special treatment. He’s playing favorites. What’s he trying to do?’

As for the excuse of it being for work...

’What a joke. Who here isn’t managing one of his businesses?’

Spontaneously, they all decided they wanted to find time to see just what kind of person this woman was.

Li Jinshu, in particular, felt seriously threatened.

Chen Xin alone was already putting a lot of pressure on her.

’And now another formidable rival has appeared out of nowhere!’

Being blunt and outspoken, she said it directly, ”Yu Xuan, find a time to ask that President Jiang to come out. We should all have a meal and meet her.”

”Okay, I’ll ask her when the time comes.” Yu Xuan could only agree.

”If she’s not willing to meet us, then we’ll go to her. We’ll see just how amazing this woman is to have Xu Yun wrapped around her little finger.”

Yu Xuan explained, ”President Jiang is a very nice person.”

”It’s only been a few days and you’re already taking her side.”

”I’m not taking her side. I’m telling you what I truly think.”

Yu Xuan hesitated for a moment before adding a warning, ”Also, President Li, I personally don’t think you should go looking for trouble with her. Otherwise, the boss might get genuinely angry.”

’I mean, look at that woman, Xino. Judging by her aura and the way she dressed, you could tell she was another rich heiress, even more so than Su Mu. Yet, even when she went to cause trouble for Jiang Peiyao and got shut down, the boss actually called to check up on Jiang Peiyao. He didn’t blame her at all. In fact, he supported her and was willing to back her up.’

When she heard this, Li Jinshu realized she had misspoken. She had overstepped her position; acting like that was something only an official girlfriend could do.

So, she fell silent and went back to eating sullenly by herself.

The other women were also lost in their own thoughts.

Ning Qian and Song Xiaowei weren’t thinking about causing trouble for the other woman. Instead, they were afraid that if this Jiang Peiyao became the official girlfriend, she would come and cause trouble for them.

Or what if Xu Yun suddenly decided to settle down, to be faithful, and didn’t want them anymore?

What would become of them then?

Seeing this, Yu Xuan hadn’t expected her well-intentioned warning to provoke such a reaction. She didn’t know what to say.
