Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”I thought you didn’t care. You say one thing but mean another, don’t you?”

Liang Yan scoffed, then said, ”Don’t worry, I already tested the waters for you. They’ve probably slept together, but that’s all it is. She’s no threat to you.”

Su Mu: ”...”

”Su Mu, Xu Yun can’t keep doing this.”

Liang Yan said, ”Every time he goes out to have fun, he just vanishes. None of us can find him. What if something happens to him, or what if we have an emergency and need to reach him?”

”If we really need to find him, we can.”

Su Mu said, ”I don’t know about anyone else, but his mother and his next-door neighbor, Chen Xin, definitely can.”

”So the old saying is true. Win over your man’s elders, and you’re halfway there.”

”Did you just come here to complain about this?”

”No, there’s also the issue of money.”

Liang Yan said, ”The production crew is already halfway through filming, and funds are getting tight. Can you spare some cash?”

”What about the money you’ve made from your short dramas? I happen to know you’re releasing a new one every single week.”

”Short dramas don’t make that much. Filming a full TV series is way too expensive. Just the actors’ salaries have eaten up a lot.”

”So how much do you need?”

Liang Yan said, ”20 million.”

”I don’t have it.”

”But when Xu Yun left, he said he’d back me up. He told me to come to you if I was short on cash.”

”Don’t you try to use him to pressure me.”

Su Mu retorted irritably, ”I’m not even afraid of him on top of me in bed, so what makes you think I’d be scared of your threats? If you’ve got the guts, have him call me.”

”President Su, I’m just asking for a temporary loan to cover cash flow.”

Liang Yan said, ”As soon as the revenue from my short dramas comes in, I’ll pay you back immediately. How about it?”

”I can lend it to you.”

Su Mu held out her hand. ”But with two million in interest.”

”That’s way too much.”

Liang Yan was momentarily speechless. ”Even though we’re two separate companies, aren’t they both Xu Yun’s businesses? We’re all family, why act like strangers?”

”My company has a lot of expenses right now, too. Li Jinshu just took 10 million from me for her fitness center.

And Yu Xuan took five million for a charity.”

Su Mu replied, ”What, does everyone think I’m a bank? That you can just take whatever you want?”

”You aren’t, but Xu Yun is. As long as you ask, I don’t believe for a second he wouldn’t give it to you.”

Liang Yan lowered her voice. ”Also, I just got some news. Xu Yun spent 30 million on a horse in Hong Kong and ended up winning 220 million Hong Kong Dollars.”

”Are you saying the person in the news a while back... was Xu Yun?”

”Yep, that was him. The woman who came to my company today told me. It has to be true.”

Su Mu: ”...”

”President Su, sometimes I wonder... why are we working so hard to make money for him?”

”Who said we’re making it for him?”

Hearing this, Su Mu said, ”He has never personally used a single penny from my company. He doesn’t care about it, otherwise he wouldn’t be such a hands-off boss.

So we’ve never been making money for him. We’re doing it for ourselves.”

”I was being shortsighted. If you don’t have the money, forget it. I’ll figure something else out.”

Liang Yan stood up. ”Also, it’s been a while since we all got together. I’ll treat everyone to dinner tonight. What do you think?”

”Fine.”

...

Fitness Center.

The renovation project that Li Jinshu designed and supervised was now complete.

All the fitness equipment from Yang Siqi had arrived and been assembled by the workers.

Compared to its old, dated state, the entire place was now completely transformed. The atmosphere and quality had been elevated significantly, firmly placing it in the category of a high-end club.

After all, the target clientele was no longer walk-in customers, but rather the owners from the surrounding high-end residential communities.

However, how to break into the market and attract clients was the next thing Li Jinshu had to consider.

Today, she had gathered all twelve of the fitness center’s remaining employees in the fourth-floor conference room to discuss a plan for acquiring new members.

As the saying goes, you can only have something in your bowl if there’s something in the pot.

Everyone’s salary structure was laid out clearly. If they wanted to earn more, they had to bring in more clients and generate revenue for the fitness center.

Among all the employees, Lin Jinsu discovered that Chen Ran, the saleswoman Xu Yun had introduced not long ago, was full of ideas.

First, she analyzed the psychology of high-end consumers during the meeting.

She suggested raising the standards for membership and improving the quality of service. This would prevent unqualified people from joining and guarantee an exclusive environment for members.

This was something many wealthy people cared a lot about.

They weren’t afraid of high prices; what they wanted was the sense of superiority that set them apart from others.

This was especially true for some of the wealthy wives, who were very competitive.

Second, she felt that the grand opening event for the fitness center had to be high-profile and classy. They needed to work hard to create the impression among the local property owners that the clients who worked out at their center were all wealthy people who knew how to live well.

It should make them feel that this was a place that matched their status.

Finally, there was the problem of how to make the initial breakthrough and bring in the first wave of customers.

After all, no matter how good your advertising was, people would still be wary and skeptical. It couldn’t compare to a single good word from a neighbor.

So, she suggested that the best plan was to find one or two property owners from the surrounding communities to act as customers, take the lead in the owners’ group chats, and come to the fitness center to work out and sign up for a membership.

Then, by pairing that with their own continuous, daily promotions, they could create a two-pronged approach.

After the meeting, Li Jinshu asked Chen Ran to stay behind.

She said, ”What you said in the meeting was excellent, and I completely agree. As for the part about working from within the property owners’ groups, I can handle that. My friends and I are in the group chats for these communities.”
