Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”Love debt, my ass. We haven’t even slept together.”

Xu Yun shot him a look. ’I have no idea why she’s here, or why she’d come looking for me,’ he thought.

’She couldn’t have chased me all this way just because I tricked her into sending me a bed photo during our chat, could she?’

’If that’s the case, she’s a psycho!’

The woman walked up to Xu Yun with a smile and said, ”President Xu, long time no see.”

”If you chased me here to get your bed photo back, you can have it.”

Xu Yun held out his phone to her. ”President Fu, delete it yourself. I’m afraid you won’t trust me otherwise.”

...

Fu Baoying glanced at Lin Wanzhou, who was standing to the side, and said, flushed with anger and embarrassment, ”Who said I was here for that?”

”Not for the photo? Then why did you chase me all the way here?”

Xu Yun put his phone away and asked, puzzled, ”Don’t tell me you actually fell for me at first sight?”

”And what if I did?”

”Sigh, so you really are trying to use a honey trap on me.”

Xu Yun sighed. ”Such wild ambitions. A wolf set on devouring a little lamb like me.”

Fu Baoying was speechless.

’You, a little lamb?’

After days of detailed investigation on Hong Kong Island, she had discovered that this seemingly harmless man was hiding his true abilities.

She had thought the bodyguard, Lin Wanzhou, was formidable enough, but she never expected Xu Yun to be even more so. In a private match, he had easily defeated Master Liang.

To verify this, she had even paid the man a personal visit.

Master Liang refused to speak about the details of the match, only saying, ”That young man’s skills are unfathomable.”

This meant that on that day in Macau, even if he had been alone without any bodyguards, he could have handled the entire situation by himself.

”President Fu.”

Xu Yun looked at the woman, who seemed to be fuming like a spurned lover, and asked, ”It’s so late, and you sent your driver away. How are you going to get back?”

”Who said I’m going back?”

Fu Baoying’s anger subsided. She sat down in the chair next to Xu Yun and declared, ”From today on, I’m sticking with you.”

”Why would you follow me?”

”Until you give me the answer.”

”I already told you, it was just luck.”

”I want to hear the real answer.”

Fu Baoying said, ”You’ve seen my bed photo. If you don’t tell me, I’ll just keep pestering you.”

”President Fu, you’re a person of status. Surely you wouldn’t stoop to being so shameless? It’s undignified...”

”I’ve already shown you my bed photo. What face do I have left to lose?”

Fu Baoying smiled. ”They say that of all people, women and petty men are the most difficult to deal with. Right now, I’m a woman who won’t stop until she gets what she wants.”

Xu Yun was speechless.

The charred, cumin-scented aroma of the steak made Fu Baoying realize she was actually a little hungry.

She said to Lin Wanzhou, ”Hey handsome, could I get a piece of that steak too?”

”I just work for him.”

Lin Wanzhou looked at Xu Yun, his meaning clear. ’It’s your call.

If you say yes, I’ll give her some.

If you say no, I won’t.’

”You can have a piece, but it’s not free.”

Xu Yun said with a deliberate smile, ”President Fu, charging you ten thousand for a piece isn’t too much, is it?”

”Not at all.”

President Fu transferred 10,000 to Xu Yun via WeChat and said, ”There. Happy?”

”We also have red wine and champagne. Would you like some?”

”If it’s okay, I’ll have a glass of red wine.”

”Ten thousand a glass!”

Fu Baoying was speechless.

「A moment later.」

The two of them were sitting around the small table, eating steak and drinking red wine.

Xu Yun teased, ”You people are used to the medium-well steaks in restaurants. Can you even stomach something well-done like this?”

”Why wouldn’t I?”

Fu Baoying glanced at him and explained, ”The reason Western restaurants don’t serve well-done steak isn’t because it tastes bad, but because it’s very difficult to prepare. It’s a real test of the chef’s skill.”

”???”

Xu Yun asked, puzzled, ”That’s difficult? Didn’t Old Lin just grill this up easily?”

Fu Baoying said, ”A Michelin three-star chef once said it’s nearly impossible to achieve a steak that is lightly charred on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked well-done all the way through. He said that pan-searing a well-done steak is an art form, and very few in the industry can meet that standard.

”This steak of yours is just well-done. It has no texture or juiciness. It’s good for filling your stomach, but there’s no art to it.”

”Did you hear that, Old Lin? She’s looking down on your skills.”

Xu Yun added, ”If you don’t think it’s good, then don’t eat it.”

”You’re the one who asked me.”

After she spoke, she looked at Lin Wanzhou and smiled. ”Mr. Lin, what you grilled is delicious. The flavor is wonderful!”

”Thank you for the compliment.”

Lin Wanzhou walked over and couldn’t help but laugh at Xu Yun. ”Looks like you were just asking for it, huh?”

It was the first time he had ever seen Xu Yun get put in his place by a woman.

Xu Yun was speechless.

’Damn it. Lost out because of my lack of culture!’

After the three of them finished dinner, the sky had completely darkened.

It was too early to sleep, so they started chatting.

The darkness in the mountains was a true, deep black—the kind where you can’t see your hand in front of your face if there are no lights on.

The group relied on the car’s interior lights to illuminate a two-to-three-meter radius around them. Beyond that, they couldn’t see a thing.

It was also exceptionally quiet, with only the sound of their voices breaking the silence.

The scene, combined with ghost stories, created a truly atmospheric mood.

For someone like Fu Baoying, who had grown up on Hong Kong Island where superstitious beliefs were still prevalent, it was a bit terrifying. She kept feeling like something was about to leap out of the darkness behind her and drag her away.

So, she subconsciously moved her chair a little closer to Xu Yun.

Seeing this, Xu Yun laughed to himself.

’Old Lin’s a crafty one,’ he thought, ’deliberately telling ghost stories to scare her.’

To keep the game going, after Lin Wanzhou finished his story, Xu Yun started making one up too, planning to scare the career elite so badly she wouldn’t dare sleep that night.
