Super Rich by Doing as You Please

But with the persuasive power of money, they ultimately succeeded in adopting the little girl.

The little girl had been reluctant to leave, but when a community center worker told her that these people could help her mother and take her to find her, she became very obedient.

Back in front of the RV, a red G-Wagen was already parked.

Fu Baoying, holding the little girl’s hand, stood before Xu Yun and asked the same question again. ”Aren’t you going to tell me now?”

”There is no answer, and I can’t give you one.”

Xu Yun replied, ”But since you’re my woman now, I should make a gesture. I’ve thought about what you mentioned, and I’ve decided to open an investment company on Hong Kong Island. You will be in complete charge of it.”

”Investment firms burn through a lot of money.”

Fu Baoying said, ”A little bit of capital won’t make a splash in a place like Hong Kong.”

”How much is ’a little’?”

Xu Yun said coolly, ”I’ll give you five billion. Is that enough?”

In truth, it wasn’t that he wanted to give her that much; the system was just being incredibly generous this time.

The moment he voiced his desire to open an investment company on Hong Kong Island, the system had popped up and given him five billion in startup funds.

’Man, he really wanted to use that money for himself.’

Unfortunately, just like with Su Mu’s Baiyun Media Company, the money could only be used for company business. It was designated capital from the system and couldn’t be accessed for personal use.

”!!!” Hearing that number, Fu Baoying felt herself getting lightheaded again.

Her breathing grew shallow, and her heart began to race.

’If what Xu Yun is saying is true, then I’ve made the right bet.’

’His power... it might be even more terrifying than I imagined!’

Lin Wanzhou, who had been listening from the side, was completely floored.

Five billion!

Every time he thought he had a handle on how rich Xu Yun was, Xu Yun would casually shatter his perceptions all over again.

’Five billion, just handed over like it was nothing?’

He couldn’t even begin to imagine how much money Xu Yun actually had.

For Xu Yun, it seemed money truly was just a string of numbers.

Xu Yun continued, ”As soon as you successfully register the company, the money will be in your account the next day. That’s all there is.”

”It’s enough! More than enough.”

Fu Baoying was so excited her free hand clenched into a fist. ”With this five billion,” she said confidently, ”I can accomplish so many things on Hong Kong Island.”

This would give her a foundation and some real standing at her club.

”This money isn’t a gift.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’m investing in you. Yes, it’s because you’re my woman now, but it’s also because of your capabilities.”

”So, I expect that in a few years, you’ll have turned that five billion into ten billion, or even more. I want it to become one of the major capital players in Hong Kong.”

”I understand. I’ll do my best.”

”And one last thing...”

Xu Yun reached out, pulled her close, and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. ”Let me hear you call me ’Husband’ one more time. It’ll be a long time before I hear it again.”

”...”

”Five billion, and I can’t even buy a ’Husband’ out of you?”

Fu Baoying said shyly, ”Husband.”

”Alright. You should go. Be careful on the road.”

Xu Yun glanced down at the little girl, patting her on the head. ”Remember to take good care of her for me. I’ll come back to see you both when I have time.”

”We’ll be going then.”

Fu Baoying led the little girl into the G-Wagen. She took one last, deep look at the man who now possessed her, body and soul, before driving off in the opposite direction.

She hadn’t gotten the answer she wanted, but she had received another kind of support from Xu Yun.

Watching them drive away, Lin Wanzhou turned to Xu Yun, perplexed. ”Are you really giving her five billion?”

”I’m not ’giving’ it to her.”

Xu Yun replied, ”The company is mine, and the money is mine. I’m just having her manage it for me.”

”Aren’t you afraid she’ll embezzle the money?”

Lin Wanzhou reminded him, ”That’s five billion. It’s an amount of money many wealthy people could never dream of earning.”

”Have you seen that international news story recently, about the billionaire whose yacht sank?”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”The story was about a tycoon who used fraud, deceit, and other means to win a lawsuit worth tens of billions against some major financial entity.”

”But just as he was celebrating on his yacht, the vessel sank. He and his core team died, but all the other crew members were rescued.”

”Around the same time, his Vice President of Finance was ’accidentally’ hit and killed by a car while out for a jog.”

Lin Wanzhou was speechless.

Xu Yun shrugged. ”See? The higher the level of the game, the more brutally simple the methods.”

Listening to Xu Yun, Lin Wanzhou felt as if he had never truly known the man standing before him.
