Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Fu Baoying said, ”If you really love money that much, just tell me how you controlled the race last time, and I can transfer 30 million to you right now.”

”You only prepared 30 million?”

Hearing this, Xu Yun sneered, ”Who do you think you’re looking down on? I wouldn’t give you the time of day even for 300 million.”

”Then what is it that you want?” Fu Baoying knew that 30 million wouldn’t be enough to move him, but that was the most she could access from her personal funds.

”Didn’t you send people to turn Hong Kong Island and Macau upside down looking into my movements?”

Xu Yun suddenly lunged forward, forcefully pinning her beneath him and slipping a hand inside her clothes.

”Agh~”

Fu Baoying felt a sharp pain from a certain area and stared at Xu Yun, flustered and furious. ”What do you think you’re doing? Do you have any idea I can sue you for this?”

”President Fu, stop pretending. You should know what I’m interested in.”

Xu Yun’s tone was laden with meaning. ”Otherwise, you wouldn’t have served yourself up on a platter and deliberately sought to be alone with me, right?”

”...”

Hearing his words, Fu Baoying’s hands, which were by her hem, unconsciously clenched into fists.

’So Xu Yun’s whole prodigal playboy act really is just for show.’

’He’s actually incredibly smart. He sees everything with crystal clarity.’

”But there’s one thing I don’t understand.”

Xu Yun sat down across from her and asked curiously, ”Are you really that loyal to the Horse Racing Club?

Willing to gamble your innocence for an answer you might not even get?

From what I know, you’re an orphan. Your original name was Fu Qing. Someone sponsored you all the way through your studies overseas. After you returned, you took on a new identity and were recruited by the Horse Racing Club to work at the racetrack, slowly climbing the ladder to become the Fu Baoying you are today.

Tell me, why would you forge a fake personal file to get into the Horse Racing Club?”

Fu Baoying was reeling. ’How do you know all this about me?’

This secret information Xu Yun had just laid out was known by no one but herself.

From the moment she returned to the country and set foot on Hong Kong Island, a completely normal, flawless personal file and identity had been established for her.

”What, you’re allowed to investigate me, but I’m not allowed to investigate you?”

Xu Yun’s hand inside her clothes didn’t stop moving. He smiled. ”I always pay a little more attention to beautiful women who deliberately get close to me.”

’Actually, he only knew these specific details because he’d just spent 10 million to buy the information from the system!’

”But President Fu, no matter how high your position is, you’re just a high-level tool working for the executive board. You don’t have any businesses of your own.

The moment they discard you, you’ll have nothing.”

”...” Fu Baoying felt the strange sensations spreading through her body, fighting with all her might to keep from making any shameful noises, yet she was powerless to resist.

The difference in strength between a man and a woman was just too great.

’Damn him! He’s despicable, shameless, and vile!’

”Since President Xu wants it so badly, you can have it now.”

Fu Baoying suddenly stopped struggling and just gave in. She said, ”As long as Mr. Lin doesn’t mind us distracting him while he’s driving.”

”I don’t mind.”

Lin Wanzhou asked, ”President Xu, should I pull over and wait for you outside?”

”...” Fu Baoying.

”See? Old Lin and I are on the same team.”

Before sunrise this morning, Lin Wanzhou had warned him about this woman, Fu Baoying, saying that she was different from the other women around him and that he should be careful not to fall into her trap.

Xu Yun lowered his head and gave her another kiss, smiling. ”It’s true I like women, but I don’t force them.”

”Then what are you doing right now?”

”Just teasing you, playing a little game. Don’t be mad. Look, your face is as red as an apple.”

Xu Yun pulled his hand back, released her, and sat back in his seat.

”So, shouldn’t you consider quietly finding a backer? That way, if you have a falling out with your bosses, you’ll have an escape route, or at least the leverage to reason with them.”

Free once more, Fu Baoying straightened her clothes and looked at Xu Yun. ”The backer you’re talking about... you mean yourself, don’t you?”

”You came looking for me, trying to seduce me. Weren’t you trying to get close to me? To use me?”

Fu Baoying: ”...”

”Look, we’re both smart people. It’s awkward when things are spelled out so plainly. Why bother?”

Xu Yun said, ”Your investigation of me was actually pretty good. I’m good at everything, except I have a weakness for beautiful women.

And you just so happen to be a beauty. If you’re willing, I’m more than willing to be used by you.”

”How do I know you can be my backer? What assets do you have to convince me?”

”It’s like betting on horses. Life is just a series of choices and gambles.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’m right here. It’s up to you whether you want to take the gamble.”

”...”

”No rush, it’s a long trip. You can take your time to think about it.”

Xu Yun teased, ”I’m just worried you don’t have time. You snuck out alone, you probably can’t stay for too long, can you?”

Suddenly, Lin Wanzhou’s voice cut in, breaking their conversation.

”Are you two done talking? If so, I suggest you look at the snow-capped mountains outside.”

Lin Wanzhou explained, ”We’re currently passing through the Mount Everest range. The weather is great today, and the visibility is excellent; you can basically see the whole thing.

You know, this is the Divine Mountain of Tibet. It’s usually shrouded in clouds and mist, so you can’t see it clearly. The number of times a year you can see its full face can be counted on one hand.”

Xu Yun looked out at the world’s highest peak, majestic and towering, covered in white snow. He sighed at how small humans were in comparison to nature.

”Old Lin, let’s find a chance to conquer it together next time, okay?”

”As long as you’re not afraid to die, I’ll go with you.”

As Fu Baoying gazed at Mount Everest out the window, her mind was racing.

To her, Xu Yun was like that snow-covered mountain shrouded in mist. She couldn’t see him clearly, couldn’t know how high or how vast he truly was.

Lin Wanzhou’s words, and the clear view of Mount Everest, felt like good fortune—or perhaps a sign from fate.

Fu Baoying was a bit of a believer in such things.

It wasn’t just her. Many of the tycoons on Hong Kong Island believed in this stuff, which was why feng shui masters and fortune tellers had always been in high demand there.

It had something to do with the region’s historical background.

After a period of internal struggle, Fu Baoying decided to take the gamble.

Xu Yun was right. Life was a series of choices and gambles. Nothing was ever absolute.

If she really had misjudged him, if he wasn’t Mount Everest, then she would accept the consequences.

She turned her head toward Lin Wanzhou in the driver’s seat and said, ”Mr. Lin, could you please find a relatively secluded place to pull over and take a break? President Xu and I have something we’d like to discuss alone.”

As she spoke, she tried her best to remain calm and sound natural.

But Lin Wanzhou acted as if he hadn’t heard a thing.

Xu Yun said, ”President Fu, you’ve decided so quickly?”

”Isn’t this the result you wanted?” Fu Baoying looked at Xu Yun, a hint of resentment in her eyes.

”Don’t you look at me like that, as if I’ve been bullying you!”

”Haven’t you been?”

”In that case, forget it. I’ve changed my mind.”

Fu Baoying: ”...”

「A few minutes later.」

After another bout of internal struggle, Fu Baoying bit her lip and said, ”President Xu, I was wrong.”

”Call me ’husband.’”

”Don’t take this too far.”

”Your attitude is still all wrong,” Xu Yun said. ”Old Lin, find an intersection and drop President Fu off. I’m sure someone will come to pick her up.”

”Alright.”

She took a deep breath and whispered, ”I’m sorry, husband. I was wrong.”

”With a little more feeling, okay?”

Fu Baoying was fuming with shame and anger, but looking at Xu Yun’s smug and roguish face, she could only compose herself again and shout in an intimate tone, ”Husband, I was wrong!”

”Barely passing this time.”

Seeing this, Xu Yun couldn’t help but laugh. ”Old Lin,” he called out, ”do as President Fu says. Find a spot with good feng shui at the foot of Mount Everest and park the car. You can go have a smoke while you’re at it. Let President Fu and I get to know each other better in the car.”

”Alright.”

Lin Wanzhou asked with a deadpan expression, ”About how long will you need? A cigarette only takes me a few minutes.”

”Uh, Old Lin, what kind of question is that?”

Xu Yun said, ”You don’t know my stamina?”

”I’ve never slept with you.”

”PFFT!”

That comment made Fu Baoying, who had been sipping water to ease her own awkwardness, spit it out with a laugh.

”...”

Xu Yun was speechless. ”In that case, come back after you finish a whole pack.”
