Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Things like the running track, the sandpit, and the children’s playground equipment will all be built in succession.

Additionally, the entire building will be renovated and remodeled simultaneously.

So I wanted to give you a heads-up, Dean He. You’re likely going to be very busy until the end of the year.”

”It’s no problem, no problem at all.”

Dean He said happily, ”This kind of work is a joy, not a burden. The children will finally have a better home.”

”Then there’s the issue of their education.”

Jiang Peiyao continued, ”These children will grow up, so I’m planning to buy a nearby plot of land to build a private elementary school. That way, the kids can continue their education when they’re old enough.

In the future, for middle school, high school, and college—as long as a child does well and wants to continue their studies, we’ll fund them all the way through graduation.”

”Ah.”

Dean He said in surprise, ”President Jiang, that’s more than just a simple promise. It’s a long-term commitment that will require continuous funding.”

”It’s fine. President Xu said that as long as it’s a problem money can solve, he supports it.”

”That’s wonderful!”

Dean He said, deeply moved, ”For President Xu to truly do this... he’s performing a great act of merit!”

Not far away were two preschool teacher interns. One was Chen Rui, who had been here before and had even gotten a box of Louis Vuitton chocolates from Xino.

The other was her best friend, Dou Xiao, who had also applied for an internship. But in all her time here, she still hadn’t seen the couple her friend had mentioned.

Then, the orphanage was suddenly taken over by a charity called Baiyun and renamed. It was now a welfare institute.

Moreover, the environment had started to improve, and there were more staff around.

First, they hired two more cleaning ladies for the grounds.

Second, two more cooks were hired for the cafeteria. The food improved immensely—it was fantastic, even better than their school’s dining hall.

Finally, there was the matter of their compensation. It was supposed to be an unpaid volunteer internship arranged by the school, but now the institute was giving them a monthly stipend of 3,000.

The two girls were thrilled, as if they had found free money.

Today, Dou Xiao looked at Jiang Peiyao and asked her best friend, ”Is that the rich young heiress you were talking about?”

”No.”

Chen Rui replied, ”That’s President Jiang. I heard the dean say she was sent by that man from the other day.”

”But she looks really rich and beautiful too.”

Dou Xiao said, ”Rui, that President Xu you mentioned... do you think he’ll come here again?”

”Why?”

”You kept telling me how handsome and good-looking he is. I just want to see for myself if it’s true.”

”Even if you see him, he’s out of your league. Stop dreaming.”

Chen Rui teased, ”Go get the classroom ready. We have to teach the children soon.”

”Sigh. Can’t a girl dream?”

After Jiang Peiyao and Yu Xuan finished their work, they called for her brother, Jiang Ping’an, and drove off.

What she had just told the dean was still only a plan. To put it into action required a great deal of follow-up work; it wasn’t something that could be accomplished with just words.

Charity work requires a pragmatic approach.

And it was precisely this quality in Jiang Peiyao that made Xu Yun willing to entrust her with this charitable endeavor.

On the way back, Yu Xuan drove, while Jiang Peiyao and Jiang Ping’an sat in the back.

Jiang Ping’an played with the toy in his hands, happily telling his sister all about playing with the other kids earlier.

He hadn’t played so happily with other children in a long time.

He said he wanted to come back.

Yu Xuan knew about Jiang Ping’an’s illness, so she felt a great deal of sympathy for the seven-year-old boy.

”Ping’an, whenever you want to come, I can drive you here to play anytime.”

”Thank you, Sister Yu.”

Jiang Peiyao looked happy too. This was the kind of life she wanted.

She looked at the photos the photographer had just sent to her phone, picked a few where she looked her best, along with some other meaningful shots, and sent them to Xu Yun via WeChat.

Ostensibly, it was a work report, but it was also a way to tell him how much she missed him.

When you’re in love, a single day apart feels like years.

Just as they were driving away, a Bentley SUV drove past them from the opposite direction, heading for the welfare institute.

The driver was a man, and in the passenger seat was a beautiful woman with her arm in a sling and a cast.

It was Yan Can and Xino.

Since she couldn’t drive with one hand, Xino, who was bored recovering at home, had asked Yan Can to bring her to see the children.

She hadn’t been back since her last visit with Xu Yun, and she had no idea how the arrangements he’d made to take care of the place were progressing.

As they arrived at the entrance, she saw a brand new sign: ”Cloud Welfare Institute.”

’Did they change the name?’

She walked in, puzzled. It looked like some sort of celebration had just taken place—there were balloons, streamers, and spent firecrackers on the playground, along with two cleaning ladies sweeping up.

When the children running and playing around saw Xino, they were overjoyed. They immediately swarmed over, surrounding her and shouting.

”Sister Nuomi! Sister Nuomi!”

”Hello, kids! Long time no see. Did you miss me?”

”We did!”

One of the children looked at her arm, which was in a cast and a sling, and asked, ”Sister, what happened to your arm?”

”It’s cool, right?”

Xino laughed. ”I went to a doctor to get it done specially for you. How about I let you all draw on my cast and sign your names later?”
