Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xiangjiang isn’t exactly close to Macau; they’re over 60 kilometers apart.

But by helicopter, it’s only a flight of a little over ten minutes!

The shortest route is actually from Hengqin in Shenzhen. Only a river separates it from Taipa on the other side.

Because Macau is so small, it might not even be as large as an airport in Shanghai on the Mainland, it’s primarily divided into two main areas.

One is Macau proper, and the other is Taipa.

Another thing to note is that tourists from the Mainland can’t stay in Macau for more than seven days at a time!

This was a bit of trivia the flight crew had just shared with Xu Yun on the helicopter; otherwise, he would have been completely unaware.

The Hong Kong-Macau helicopter landed on the rooftop helipad at Wan Chai Pier.

Just after he got off the helicopter, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel Rolls-Royce shuttle was already waiting for him near the pier.

It turned out that during the flight, Xu Yun had called the Ritz-Carlton here directly and booked himself a Skyline Suite.

He chose this hotel because he had stayed at their Rongcheng location before. He was a top-tier member and had found the experience quite pleasant, so he decided to choose it again.

Normally, the hotel’s Skyline Suite doesn’t accept same-day bookings, but they made an exception after checking Xu Yun’s membership status.

Money talks, and rules are only for ordinary people.

As a guest in the Skyline Suite, Xu Yun naturally received the highest level of service.

There’s a classic saying: the best service in the country is in the south, and the best service in the south is, without a doubt, in Macau.

In other words, Macau offers the best, most top-tier service in the entire country.

The reason? Its most developed industry is gaming.

When people lose money, they tend to get irritable and look for things to blame. Therefore, the service here has to be impeccable, making you feel right at home.

And if you win, you’re happy. With good service, you’re bound to leave a generous tip.

As the 24-hour personal butler the hotel had assigned to Xu Yun, she was already stepping forward to greet him as he disembarked from the helicopter.

”Hello, Mr. Xu.”

The young, beautiful woman in uniform spoke respectfully. ”I am a personal butler from the Ritz-Carlton. My name is Good Luck, and I’m delighted you’ve chosen to stay with us.”

”Good Luck?”

Xu Yun smiled. ”That’s a rather unique name.”

”It’s because all the guests who come here are hoping for a streak of good luck.”

Good Luck explained with a smile, ”So, all of our names carry a certain symbolic meaning. It’s to give our guests a feeling of auspiciousness, in the hopes that good luck will truly stay with them.”

For example, even their buses here are called ”Good Luck Shuttles.”

”That makes sense.”

”Mr. Xu, the private Maybach is ready for you right behind me.

We’ve already sent the driver’s health certificate, a clean criminal background check, and proof of his thirty-year accident-free record to the email address you provided, so you can rest easy.”

Good Luck opened the rear passenger door with an inviting gesture. ”It will be my pleasure to escort you and your friend back to the Ritz-Carlton, where you can feel right at home.”

”Alright, thank you.”

After Xu Yun was seated, she moved to open the door on the other side for Lin Wanzhou, but Lin Wanzhou declined.

”I’m just President Xu’s bodyguard. You don’t need to worry about me. Just focus on serving him well.” With that, Lin Wanzhou got into the front passenger seat on her own.

”Of course. I understand.”

’Good Luck glanced at Lin Wanzhou in surprise. She had assumed they were friends, but it turned out to be an employer-bodyguard relationship.’

’He travels with a bodyguard... no wonder he arrived by helicopter.’

’I wonder which tycoon’s son from the Mainland he is. Just finished having fun on Hong Kong Island and now he’s here to play.’

’For such a distinguished guest, they had to provide the absolute best service possible.’

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel is located within the Galaxy Integrated Resort, with numerous brand-name stores and restaurants downstairs, offering endless shopping and dining pleasure.

But of course, the most famous and central attraction here is the Galaxy Casino.

When Xu Yun arrived at the hotel, his personal butler handled the entire check-in process for him. Credit cards were accepted directly, and apart from a few specific gaming areas, most places supported payment methods like WeChat Pay and Alipay.

The primary currency used here is the Hong Kong Dollar.

The Skyline Suite was a spacious 350 square meters, decorated primarily in white and gray. It had two bedrooms, set far apart from each other, and three bathrooms—essentially two suites combined into one.

So Xu Yun didn’t bother getting a separate room for Lin Wanzhou.

It wasn’t about saving money; Xu Yun simply felt that in a place like this, it would be safer for them to stay together.

’If anything happened to me, she could at least get to me immediately.’

He hadn’t been concerned about this back on Hong Kong Island.

As for the personal butler service, Xu Yun had no interest in it at the moment. It was nothing more than someone being on call 24/7 to help with things like hailing a car or booking a restaurant.

So, as soon as he got to the suite, he listened to her explanation about the hotel and the Galaxy Integrated Resort, then dismissed her.

Following local customs, he also gave her a small tip.

It wasn’t much—just 1,000.

And don’t think that’s a lot.

Macau may seem small, but the minimum monthly salary starts at 7,000, its per capita GDP is the highest in the nation, and the average annual personal income is 90,000 US Dollars.

So a tip of 1,000 Hong Kong Dollars really wasn’t much at all.

Xu Yun stood before the enormous, curved floor-to-ceiling window, gazing down from on high at the panoramic view of the entire Galaxy Integrated Resort below.
