Super Rich by Doing as You Please

After listening to Lin Wanzhou’s song, Xu Yun couldn’t help but sigh, ”If I could do it all over again, I’d definitely take a two-year break from college to enlist and experience military life.”

”Me too.”

Yan Can said, ”I actually applied back then, but my parents wouldn’t agree to it.”

”Haha, your parents were right to say no.”

Xino teased, ”I mean, with your level of fitness, you’d probably end up crying during a five-kilometer run.”

”Bullshit, I’m tough.”

”Military service isn’t all the same,”

Lin Wanzhou said honestly. ”For some, it’s an experience they’ll remember for a lifetime. For others, it’s just like coasting through life.”

”I heard from Chen Jiang that you were in the special forces. He said you’re a hell of a fighter.”

Xu Yun asked with a hint of curiosity, ”Just how good are you? Care to elaborate?”

”Special forces?”

Xino was surprised. ”Wow, so you’re really that amazing? Can you fight ten guys at once, like they do on TV?”

”Uh, that’s just on TV.”

Lin Wanzhou replied, ”In a normal situation, with unarmed combat, the most I can handle is about three average guys.”

”We should spar sometime.”

’I want to test out the combat skills the system gave me and see where I stand,’ Xu Yun thought.

”Brother Xu, are you crazy?”

Yan Can said over the walkie-talkie. ”He’s ex-special forces! And you want to fight him?”

Lin Wanzhou was also a little surprised. He asked, ”President Xu, have you trained before?”

”I trained with a few masters for a while back when I had some free time, but I’ve never had a chance to test my skills.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”This is the perfect chance to practice with you and see what I’m made of.”

”Oh, yes! Yes!”

Xino said excitedly, ”You have to let me know when it happens! I’ll come watch and cheer you on!”

Yan Can: ”I want to watch too.”

”Sure.”

Lin Wanzhou joked, ”But accidents happen in a fight. Don’t blame me if I accidentally hurt you.”

”I won’t.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”If you can beat me, I’ll give you an extra 100,000 yuan as a bonus.”

That immediately piqued Lin Wanzhou’s interest.

’So confident?’

He had planned on going easy on him, thinking, ’He’s probably just learned some flashy but useless moves.’

’Since the boss wants to show off in front of the ladies, I’ll just have to let him look good.’

But now, he changed his mind.

’It would be stupid not to take money that’s being handed to you on a silver platter.’

’And he felt zero guilt taking money from these rich kids!’

After the initial excitement and chatter, the walkie-talkies went quiet.

Partway through the drive, they stopped at a rest area.

Xu Yun had Jian Shiwai book a hotel in Orange City ahead of time, with the stipulation that she book the absolute best.

He was on vacation, not a budget trip.

Throughout the trip, if money could buy the best, he wanted the best service and experience.

Jian Shiwai did a search on her phone, found the hotel’s customer service number, and called to book the rooms in advance.

After a quick break and a meal at the rest stop, they all set off again.

Finally, at just after 4:00 PM, they arrived in Orange City.

With Xu Yun leading the convoy and following the GPS, the group of five in three cars arrived at their destination: the St. Regis Hotel.

It was located in Yunda Central Square, right in the heart of the commercial and shopping district, just a stone’s throw away from major museums, movie theaters, and historical landmarks.

Guided by the doormen at the entrance, Xu Yun and his group parked their cars, and a hotel butler immediately began helping with their luggage.

Jian Shiwai had already gone ahead into the lobby to begin checking in.

As per Xu Yun’s request, she had booked five rooms for the five of them.

These included four 150-square-meter, one-bedroom Vice Presidential Suites at 12,888 yuan per night.

And one 240-square-meter Astor Suite, also known as the Presidential Two-Bedroom Suite, at 68,888 yuan per night.

All the rooms were on the 62nd floor!

From the rooms at night, you could see nearly the entire Changsha skyline.

Although Xino and Yan Can both came from wealthy families and typically stayed in five-star hotels costing several thousand a night when they traveled, they were still stunned when they saw the rooms Xu Yun had told Jian Shiwai to book.

”These rooms are so expensive!”

Xino said, wincing at the cost, ”Xu Yun, isn’t this a little too extravagant?”

”A man’s got to treat himself well.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”The whole point of going on vacation is to enjoy yourself.

In fact, there’s an even more expensive Super Executive Suite for 88,888 yuan a night. If someone hadn’t already booked it, I would’ve taken that one.”

A suite that costs 88,000 a night!

Xino suddenly felt like she might have misunderstood the whole point of this trip.

Beside her, the corner of Lin Wanzhou’s mouth twitched when he heard the prices of the rooms.

’What in the world are these rooms made of?’

’Are the beds made of gold?’

To be honest, he had never seen a hotel room this expensive in his life.

After a seamless check-in process, aided by the enthusiastic front desk staff, everyone was escorted to their respective rooms by a personal concierge.

Furthermore, each person was assigned their own dedicated butler.

After Xu Yun entered his room, a female butler began a thoughtful introduction to the room’s various features.

She especially highlighted the smart-home design.

The tablet was perfect for lazy people; you could control all of the room’s amenities—the lights, the curtains, and more—without having to get up.

Upon learning it was Xu Yun’s first time staying at their hotel, the female butler added, ”Our hotel has a starlight swimming pool on the 63rd floor, which you might enjoy experiencing, sir.

We also have a twilight ritual in the lobby twice a day, a unique feature of ours called the St. Regis Champagne Sabrage. If you’re interested, Mr. Xu, you’re welcome to go and watch.

Of course, if you don’t wish to leave your room, you can call me at any time, and I can perform it for you privately here, though the atmosphere won’t be quite the same.”

”Okay, got it.”

”Mr. Xu, I’d also like to ask, will you require our ’bed-opening’ service during your stay?”

The female butler explained, ”This is an optional service; some guests request it and others don’t, so we always ask beforehand.”

’Bed-opening service?’

Xu Yun froze for a second when he heard the term.

Taking the name literally, his mind immediately went there.

’Seriously? Are hotels this direct nowadays?’

’Or is this a service only for presidential suites?’

Xu Yun hadn’t stayed in many hotels, and he’d never heard of this at any of the previous ones.

This was truly the first time he had ever heard of such a service.

To be honest, he was actually quite tempted. He wanted to see what this service was all about.

’I’m already paying so much for this room. Wouldn’t it be a huge loss not to enjoy it to the fullest?’

”So, uh...”

Xu Yun nodded and asked, ”This ’bed-opening service’ of yours... what exactly does it entail? Could you explain?”

”Of course.”

The female butler said, ”The ’bed-opening’ service is performed by me, your dedicated butler. I will come to your room before you plan to sleep for the night.

I will tidy the room, adjust the temperature, set out a night light, and turn down the bedsheets, among other things, to ensure you are comfortable when you rest.”

”That’s it?”

The moment Xu Yun heard her explanation, he instantly lost all interest.

’What a misleading name for a service,’ he thought. ’I got my hopes up for nothing!’

He rejected her offer outright. ”Forget it, I don’t need that. I’ll call you if I need something.”

The female butler was speechless.

She looked at the guest’s clearly disappointed expression, wondering what she could have said wrong.

’The turndown service is more or less the same at all the major hotels,’ she thought.

’In fact, their hotel’s service was even more comprehensive than most.’

Meanwhile, in the other rooms, the rest of the group was also experiencing the butler service.

This was especially true for Jian Shiwai and Lin Wanzhou.

It was their first time ever staying in such an expensive room, and they were left speechless for a moment as they took in the luxurious amenities and enormous space.

Thanks to Xu Yun, they were truly experiencing a life of luxury today.

Lin Wanzhou had a similarly awkward experience to Xu Yun’s, as he also didn’t know what the ”bed-opening service” was.

So when his female butler asked if he needed it, unlike the expectant Xu Yun, he refused immediately.

He was afraid it would be an extra charge.

’God only knows how much a service like that would cost in a hotel this expensive!’
