Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Triggered? What’s there to be triggered about?

Xi Wei didn’t think a few words from this guy would be enough to make him back down.

He’d been at the helm of the family business for several years now, navigating the commercial world. While he might not have his father’s perfect grasp of social intricacies, he felt he had honed his interpersonal skills and mental fortitude quite well.

Besides, when it came to his sister, he had to make a move. He had to let the other man know the Xi Family’s stance—his stance.

”Last night, Xino came home and said she wanted to go on a trip.”

Xi Wei asked, ”She’s going with you, I assume?”

”Shouldn’t you already know perfectly well if she is?”

Xu Yun got straight to the point. ”Who told you I was going on a trip? Let me guess, Chen Jiang? And why do you think he told you?”

”I know about his little schemes.”

Xi Wei replied disdainfully, ”But this involves my sister. I can’t just ignore it.”

”I think you’re just sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”

Xu Yun said mockingly, ”I never planned on taking your sister with me in the first place, nor did I want anything to do with your family.

Your sister didn’t even know I was going on a trip. You’re the one who overplayed your hand and let her find out, and now she’s insisting on coming with me.”

”You think I’ll believe that?”

Xi Wei retorted, ”You were always planning on traveling with a woman, one on one. It was all arranged, wasn’t it?”

”Who told you the woman traveling with me was your sister?” Xu Yun said. ”Couldn’t it be someone else?”

”What do you mean by that?”

Xi Wei’s expression soured. ”You have other women behind my sister’s back?”

”Yeah. Is that so strange?”

Xu Yun said, ”We’re both men, and wealthy men at that. Let’s not pretend otherwise about certain things. It’s pointless.”

”Fine!”

Xi Wei said, ”I don’t care about what happened before. But now that you’re with my sister, you’d better stop seeing other women.”

”They all say you’re a capable man, so why are you talking like an idiot right now?”

Xu Yun shot him a look. ”It’s not that I want to be with your sister. It’s your sister who insists on being with me.”

”What are you trying to say?”

”It means your sister likes me.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”Instead of arguing with me here, you’d be better off going home and trying to persuade your sister.”

”For this trip, I want you to refuse her.”

”And can you make her stay home and not follow me on my trip?”

Xu Yun smiled. ”See? Your own family can’t do anything about her. What am I supposed to do?”

Xi Wei fell silent.

”The truth is, when it comes to love, it’s not something a brother or even parents can interfere with.

Once a woman sets her mind on something, it’s very hard for her to turn back.”

Xu Yun said meaningfully, ”Besides, I’m not afraid to tell you the truth. Between Xino and me... what shouldn’t have happened, and what should have happened, has all happened.”

Xi Wei was at a loss for words.

”You know what they say, once you’ve been intimate, there’s always a bond. No matter what happens between Xino and me in the future, that makes you my brother-in-law, in a way.”

Xi Wei was seething.

Seeing the anger rising in Xi Wei’s face, Xu Yun continued with a smile, ”Now, don’t get angry. It’s pointless.

And don’t bother arguing, because whether you like it or not, your sister likes me.”

”My sister likes you! My sister likes you!”

Xi Wei, losing his patience, said coldly, ”Is that the only thing you know how to say?!”

”Your sister likes me.”

”I know my sister likes you!”

Xi Wei stood up in a rage. ”It’s precisely because she likes you that I’m even talking to you right now!”

”But talking to me is useless.”

Utterly unfazed, Xu Yun spread his hands. ”It’s not that I’m unwilling, it’s that your sister is. If anyone needs persuading, it’s you persuading her to let go.”

”If I could do anything about her, would I have come to you?”

Xi Wei snapped, ”I came to talk to you, not to break you two up. I came to say that it’s normal for a man to play the field.

But since you’ve decided to be with my sister, you should tone it down a bit. Don’t hurt her.”

”You don’t need to worry about my affairs, brother-in-law.”

Xu Yun said, ”What goes on between your sister and me is our business. It’s consensual.”

Xi Wei was speechless.

”Alright, let’s stop talking. We’re not going to get anywhere.

I’m not going to change my lifestyle just because of your sister, and you can’t persuade your sister to give up. Why don’t we all just let things take their natural course?

You can rest assured about one thing.

I’m not after your family’s money, I have no interest in your family’s business, and I certainly won’t mistreat your sister.”

Xu Yun also stood up. ”How about we finish buying the car and then go our separate ways? What do you think?”

Xi Wei had nothing to say.

”Of course, if you really can’t get over it, if you’re so angry you need to vent, that’s fine too.”

Xu Yun teased casually, ”We could just have it out right here. A gentleman’s agreement: no matter who wins or loses, no retaliation afterward.”

”Alright, you’re the one who said it.” Hearing this suggestion, Xi Wei laughed to himself.

’This guy actually dared to challenge me to a fight.’

’It’s like showing off your pathetic little sword tricks in front of a master.’

’I’ve been learning Taekwondo since I was a kid. My skills are nothing to sneeze at.’

’This is the perfect chance to teach him a lesson, beat him to a pulp, and let off some steam.’

’Let’s see how arrogant you are after this.’

Xu Yun hadn’t expected the guy to actually agree to his suggestion and want to fight him.

’Seriously? You’re a man of your status. Why are you acting like a barbarian?’

’I was just running my mouth. You actually agreed?’

Now Xu Yun was the one in a bind.

Seeing the other man’s eager, smug expression—as if he couldn’t wait to beat him up—Xu Yun knew this guy must have a few tricks up his sleeve.
