Super Rich by Doing as You Please

After finishing her diet meal, Jian Shiwai was jogging in a park near her residential complex.

Ever since she agreed to go on a trip with Xu Yun, she had taken paid leave from the bank.

The feeling was just incredible.

To present the perfect version of herself on the trip, she had been working hard to shape up and lose weight.

After all, she didn’t want to take off her clothes in front of Xu Yun only to reveal a flabby stomach.

Or for her skin to not feel smooth and soft to the touch.

As she was jogging, she suddenly saw a WeChat message from Xu Yun.

[Manager Jian, what are you up to? Are you free?]

Jian Shiwai hesitated for a moment after seeing it, then took a photo of herself and sent it to him.

”I’m out jogging in the park.”

Jian Shiwai smiled and asked, ”President Xu, what’s up?”

Xu Yun looked at the photo and was instantly struck by how white her clothes were and how large her gold necklace was.

He hadn’t noticed when they met before since she was wearing her work uniform.

”I want to buy some gear for our outdoor trip, but I don’t really know what to get.”

Xu Yun asked, ”Do you know about this stuff? And have you bought your gear yet? If not, we could go get it together.”

”I’ve already bought mine.”

Jian Shiwai said, ”President Xu, give me a minute. I’ll head back home, take a shower, change, and then I’ll come with you to shop.”

”Okay, send me your address. I’ll drive over to pick you up.”

After making plans with Xu Yun, Jian Shiwai immediately started running home, drawing quite a few glances along the way.

Once home, she took a quick shower and changed into a new, light and breezy summer outfit she had just bought.

She then applied some light, natural-looking makeup, grabbed the new model Louis Vuitton bag Xu Yun had just given her, and headed out.

When she reached the entrance of her complex, she saw Xu Yun’s Bentley Continental already parked by the roadside, waiting for her.

It was very conspicuous.

The complex where Jian Shiwai lived wasn’t a high-end one, and luxury cars were a rare sight. As a result, Xu Yun’s car parked on the side of the road turned a lot of heads among the residents who passed by.

Some young people even took pictures to send to their group chats or private message their friends to share.

Xu Yun was leaning against the car. When he saw her come out, he waved and opened the car door for her.

A true gentleman’s gesture.

”Thank you, President Xu.”

Jian Shiwai smiled apologetically. ”I had to shower, wash my hair, change, and do my makeup... It took a little while. Sorry to keep you waiting.”

”Seeing you look this beautiful makes any wait worthwhile.”

After getting in the car, Xu Yun asked, ”So where are we going for the outdoor gear?”

”Well, we’re just going on a trip, not an expedition, so we don’t need highly professional gear.”

Jian Shiwai explained, ”We can just go to any mall and get a few sets of casual sportswear, a weatherproof jacket to protect against the cold and rain, and some things like folding outdoor tables and chairs, a small tent, and so on. That should be enough.”

”You’re in charge. Whatever you say we should buy today, I’ll buy.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”I’m planning on putting myself completely in your hands.”

His words put a little pressure on Jian Shiwai.

’But it’s a good thing I know a few friends who do long-term RV trips. I can ask them for advice.’

’Even if we forget something, it’s not a big deal. We can always restock when we pass through cities on our journey.’

’It’s not like we’re exploring some primeval forest, completely cut off from civilization.’

...

「Meanwhile, on the side of another road...」

Inside an old, luxury model Magotan 330, Xu Yun’s maternal uncle, Zhang Lixin, hung up the phone with a grim expression.

His cousin, Zhang Yufei, who was sitting in the passenger seat, saw his expression and asked with concern, ”Dad, what did my cousin say? Is he not there?”

”Yeah. He said he’s on a last-minute business trip and won’t be back for a month.”

”That’s not just an excuse, is it?”

Zhang Yufei said anxiously, ”I already quit my government job! If things don’t work out with my cousin, I’ll be unemployed.”

”Don’t worry. We’re family, after all.”

Zhang Lixin comforted her, ”Xu Yun just told me that he’ll call his business partner and have us go straight to the company to meet them.”

”Really?”

”Really.” Just as Zhang Lixin finished speaking, a message from Xu Yun with an address appeared on his WeChat.

”Uncle, this is my company’s address. You can head over. Just mention my name when you get there, and someone will be there to greet you.”

”Okay, Xu Yun. Got it.”

Zhang Lixin put his phone away and said to his daughter with a smile, ”Let’s go. We’re heading straight to his company.”

Half an hour later, they arrived at the destination on their GPS.

Zhang Lixin parked the car, and after getting out with his daughter, they looked around for a bit before finally spotting a two-story office building.

’He even has his own standalone office building. And from the look of the exterior, it wasn’t cheap.’

The parking lot out front had several luxury cars in it.

They had seen one of them, a red Porsche, at the entrance of the hotel during his sister’s birthday banquet.

”This must be the place. We’re not mistaken.”

Once Zhang Lixin was sure, he and his daughter, Zhang Yufei, headed inside.

When they reached the front desk, they saw Ning Qian, whom they had met once before, making them even more certain they were in the right place.

After all, beautiful women are easy to remember.

”Hello, miss. We’re...”

Before Zhang Lixin could finish, Ning Qian smiled and said, ”You must be President Xu’s uncle and cousin, right?

I recognize you. I saw you last time at the birthday banquet.

President Su already gave me a heads-up. She said that when you arrived, I should give you a tour of the company first. She’s in a video conference right now but will be done shortly.”

”Okay, we’re not in a hurry.”

Zhang Lixin smiled. ”Then we’ll be troubling you.”
