Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Once she earned enough capital, she would hire people to start selling products via livestreams, while also trying to open an experience store in a major shopping mall.

The online shop would target customers outside the city, while the physical store would be for local customers.

She would sell online and offline simultaneously.

With a three-pronged approach, the business was sure to grow bigger and stronger!

But these plans were easier said than done.

It would require not only an extensive network but also substantial financial backing.

And if she did it all on her own, it would take a very long time to reach her goal—probably more than ten years.

But a lot can change in ten years.

If she accepted Xu Yun’s offer to become her biggest investor, she could drastically shorten that timeline.

Judging by Chen Jiang’s attitude toward him today, Xu Yun likely held a high status in elite circles, which meant he had to be very well-connected.

Then there was his financial power.

Someone who knew Chen Jiang, was friends with him, and was even regarded with caution by him, was definitely not short on cash.

So, all things considered, if she wanted her company to grow quickly and successfully, partnering with him was indeed the best option.

The only risk was that she could end up doing all the hard work, only for him to reap the rewards.

’Should I take the gamble?’

In the bathroom, Yang Siqi stood under the shower, letting the hot water cascade over her sensual body.

She closed her eyes, continuously weighing the pros and cons.

But as she thought, her mind uncontrollably drifted to images of her passionate encounter with Xu Yun.

A wave of weakness and bashfulness washed over her.

’Looks like I’ve been so focused on my career these past few years that I’ve been starved for far too long.’

’Even after a feast like that, I still don’t feel satisfied.’

’Sigh, I should have kept him a little longer. Drained him of his very last drop of energy.’

...

Xu Yun never in a million years expected that just going out for lunch would lead to him ending up in a woman’s bed.

’Sigh, ever since I got rich, the temptations around me just keep multiplying.’

After leaving Yang Siqi’s apartment, he went to find Li Jinshu.

He had already bought the house.

He had originally planned to surprise her with it, but now he had to tell her to move in as soon as possible so he could free up her old place for Song Xiaowei.

’With so many women, I’m starting to run out of houses.’

Xu Yun wondered if he should just go buy another eight or ten properties to have on hand, just in case.

On his way to Li Jinshu’s, he passed by his own company and, on some strange impulse, stopped, wanting to go in and take a look.

But just as he pulled in, he saw his uncle’s car and immediately turned around and left.

Zhang Lixin and Zhang Yufei were sitting in Su Mu’s office.

”Mr. Zhang, Miss Zhang.”

Su Mu asked with a smile, ”I heard from Ning Qian that you’re not going sightseeing today?”

”That’s right.”

Zhang Lixin laughed. ”Over the past two days, Miss Ning has shown my daughter and me every scenic spot in Jiangcheng.”

”Even if you’ve seen all the sights in the city, you can still visit the scenic areas around us. The views are quite nice there, too.”

”No need, President Su.”

Zhang Lixin, now quite annoyed, quickly said, ”I appreciate your hospitality, but let’s get down to business. I only took three days off from work. If I don’t get back to handle things soon, I’ll be in trouble.”

He had come here to secure a job for his daughter.

But he’d been here for two days, and the man hadn’t mentioned it once. Instead, he just had someone take him and his daughter sightseeing every day.

’We’re not here on vacation!’

Zhang Lixin had a bad feeling. This was not a good sign.

That was why he had decisively refused Ning Qian’s tour today and brought his daughter straight to the company, ready to bring up the matter of her job again.

He wouldn’t rest until the matter was settled today.

”Oh, I see.”

Su Mu smiled. ”I was going to suggest you tour for a few more days, but since you’re in such a hurry, I won’t insist. Let’s talk about your daughter’s job.”

”Yes, of course,” Zhang Lixin said, breathing a sigh of relief. ’He’s finally taking the bait.’

As soon as the conversation turned to business, Su Mu sat back down in his chair and asked, ”Mr. Zhang, did you bring your daughter’s résumé?”

”We did. It’s right here.”

Already prepared, Zhang Yufei took out her résumé and politely passed it over, placing it on Su Mu’s desk.

Su Mu picked it up, glanced through it, and quickly put it down again.

”Miss Zhang, I see from your résumé that you majored in Financial Management?”

”That’s right.”

Zhang Yufei said, ”At the time, I wanted to become an accountant.”

”Given your major, our company doesn’t actually have a suitable position for you at the moment.”

Su Mu replied, ”We’ve already hired someone for our finance department.”

”That’s alright. I’m open to other positions.”

Zhang Yufei replied, ”I can learn what I don’t know.”

”Besides your major, there’s also the issue of your educational background.”

Su Mu frowned. ”I see your university... it’s a 211 school, correct?”

”Yes.”

”Perhaps Xu Yun didn’t tell you, or maybe he isn’t aware.”

Su Mu explained, ”The minimum requirement for our new hires is that they must be from a 985 university.”

Zhang Yufei was speechless.

Zhang Lixin looked on. ’What’s the meaning of this?’

’If she could get in through the proper channels, why would I have needed to ask Xu Yun for help?’

He quickly said, ”President Su, I understand that’s the policy, but as you know, we’re here because Xu Yun sent us. Surely there can be an exception.”

”It is precisely because Xu Yun put in a word that I agreed to meet you and give your daughter a chance. Provided she meets our minimum hiring requirements, I will make an exception and hire her.”
