Super Rich by Doing as You Please

’Damn it. Fine, let’s fight. I can lose the battle, but I can’t lose face.’

Suddenly, the system’s notification chimed.

[Host’s individual combat ability is subpar. You are unable to Do as You Please and fight without restraint against formidable opponents. Awarding: Intermediate Fighting Skill x1.]

[Would you like to spend 30,000,000 to learn this Skill now?]

”I’ll take it!”

At a time like this, Xu Yun didn’t need to think twice. Even if it cost him a hundred million, he’d learn the skill first and worry about the rest later.

He’d much rather be the one throwing punches than the one taking them!

[Activation successful!]

[Remaining bank balance: 75,000,000!]

As he gave his consent, Xu Yun felt his body grow warm, just as it had with the Eight Pieces of Brocade. In an instant, his mind was flooded with a vast amount of familiar combat knowledge.

The sheer volume of information made his head spin.

When Xi Wei heard Xu Yun shout, ”I’ll take it!”, he assumed Xu Yun had agreed to the fight.

So he lunged forward to attack!

’First strike wins!’

[Congratulations, Host. Download complete. Let the hunt begin!]

As Xu Yun watched Xi Wei’s fist fly toward him, his eyes showed no trace of fear or panic.

It was as if his body moved on its own. Without a single conscious thought, muscle memory took over, and he instinctively countered the attack.

Half an hour later, the two men emerged from the office, one after the other. Xi Wei had a bruise near the corner of his eye, and his cheek was slightly red and swollen.

His clothes were also a bit dusty.

Xu Yun, in contrast, was completely unscathed. He even looked like he was trying to suppress a laugh.

Manager Huang, who had been waiting outside, took one look at them and felt his heart sink. ’This is bad.’

’Did they actually fight?’

’And it looks like the young man, Xu, was the one who beat up Xi Wei!’

’Holy shit! This guy’s ruthless enough to beat up Xi Wei right here in Jiangcheng!’

’Thank god I didn’t get on his bad side earlier.’

He hurried forward, a smile plastered on his face. ”President Xu, are you leaving?”

”No. Are you treating me to dinner?”

Xu Yun glanced at Xi Wei behind him, smirked, and walked away with a cool swagger, not once looking back.

’Beating someone up feels incredible. That thirty million was well spent!’

Manager Huang looked at Xi Wei, who was still frozen in place, and asked cautiously, ”President Xi, are you alright?”

”What could possibly be wrong with me?”

Xi Wei shot him a glare. ”Remember, you didn’t see anything today. Got it?”

”I understand, I understand.”

Manager Huang said, ”So, about that car purchase contract... does President Xi have time to sign it now?”

”I’ll send someone over later.”

With that, he stalked off, looking thoroughly dejected and sporting a budding black eye.

”Uh...”

Only after both men had left the dealership did Manager Huang mutter to himself, ”Well, there goes the commission on one G-Wagon...”

”Manager, didn’t President Xu just buy that car?”

”You think I don’t know that? Captain Obvious,” Manager Huang snapped.

’Xu Yun had already agreed to buy this car. The contract was even drawn up. But then President Xu just up and left.’

’And I didn’t dare go up and ask him about it.’

’What if he got annoyed and decided to beat me up, too?’

’And don’t tell me I shouldn’t be afraid. So what if he hits me? Sue him? Blackmail him?’

’Buddy, did you not just see him beat up *President Xi*?’

’And after getting beaten, all President Xi could do was swallow his pride.’

’This Xu Yun guy... just how powerful is his background?’

’For all I know, the guy is one of those untouchable young masters!’

’Ah, whatever. I still made a good bit of money today, so I can’t complain.’

He turned to the employee who had been standing nearby and warned him, ”Don’t you go telling anyone what happened today. If word gets out, you’ll be in for a world of hurt.”

He’d barely finished speaking when he saw Xu Yun walking back into the dealership.

”What’s this? Talking trash about me behind my back?”

”Not at all, not at all!” Manager Huang jumped. He hurried over and asked respectfully, ”President Xu, is there anything else I can do for you?”

”The car.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”We agreed I was buying your G-Wagon, didn’t we? You didn’t even remind me. What, did you decide you don’t want to sell it to me?”

”No, no, of course not! I just forgot.”

”Then go get the contract so I can sign it.”

”Right, right away. I’ll go get it now.”

A moment later, Xu Yun signed the papers and paid.

The model was a top-of-the-line Mercedes-AMG G 63, hailed as the crown jewel of the G-Class family. The final, on-the-road price came to 3.92 million, nearly 4 million.

Seeing the black card in Xu Yun’s hand, Manager Huang was once again reminded of the man’s immense resources.

[Traverse the city, become the center of attention. Every startup symbolizes the beginning of a dream. Faced with a G-Wagon, the Host chose to Do as You Please and purchase it in full. Reward: 8,880,000 in cash.]

[Current bank balance: 80,640,000]

Xu Yun listened to the system’s announcement. The reward wasn’t huge, but it was a decent consolation, helping him recoup some of his losses.

Even though he’d enjoyed beating the crap out of Xi Wei, he still felt a sting of regret over the thirty million he’d spent.

’The ancients were right. Impulse really is the devil!’

’Right. Next time, I need to keep my cool. No more impulsive decisions!’

After buying the car, Xu Yun didn’t take it right away. There was still a series of administrative procedures to complete.

He decided to pick up the car after he got back from his trip.

...

After leaving the dealership, Xi Wei got into his Aston Martin. He finally couldn’t hold it in any longer, sucking in a sharp breath through his teeth. ”HSSS~”

As he drove, he vigorously rubbed at his sore muscles.

Especially the corner of his eye.

’Damn it! That guy has no honor! He only aims for the face!’

’I thought I was going to teach him a lesson, beat him until he was on his knees begging for mercy. I never expected him to be such a good fighter. In the end, I was the one who got a beating!’

’He’s handsome, rich, shameless, and a good fighter!’

’What rich family let this menace out into the world?!’

Thoroughly dejected, Xi Wei decided against going back to the office.

’No, scratch that. I’m not going to the office at all for a while. Not until my injuries are completely healed.’

He turned the car around and drove to a bar he owned. It was daytime, so the place was empty and quiet—the perfect spot to have a few drinks alone.

’God, the things I do for my sister. It’s not easy, you know?’

But, as luck would have it, he ran right into his sister, Xino, and her troublemaking friend, Yan Can.

Xi Wei felt a surge of irritation the moment he saw Yan Can.

’This was all his fault.’

’If he hadn’t brought that Xu Yun fellow to my bar that day, my sister wouldn’t be in this mess.’

Xino was surprised to see Xi Wei. ”Bro, what are you doing here? I thought you’d be at the office?”

”Things are slow at the office today, so I thought I’d stop by,” Xi Wei said dismissively, already planning his escape to his private office.

The lighting in the bar was dim, so it wasn’t easy to see the bruises on Xi Wei’s face unless you looked closely.

Xino, at least, hadn’t noticed.

But someone else did, and he just had to ask about it.

Yan Can: ”Hey, Xi Wei, what happened to your face?”

Xino: ”???”

Xi Wei: ”...”

’Can’t you just shut the fuck up for once?!’

Prompted by Yan Can, Xino looked closer and saw that her brother’s face was indeed bruised.

She stepped forward to get a better look. ”Bro, what happened?” she asked, concerned. ”Did someone hit you?”

”What? Xi Wei, you got beaten up?!”

Yan Can exclaimed in shock.

’Good heavens, someone actually dared to hit her brother.’

’Who’s the badass that did this?!’

”Shut your mouth!”

Xi Wei snapped, glaring at Yan Can.

Then he turned to his sister and explained, ”What are you talking about? How could I possibly get beaten up? I just wasn’t looking where I was going and ran into something.”

”One look and it’s obvious someone hit you.”

”I ran into something.”

There was no way Xi Wei would admit he’d been beaten.

He quickly changed the subject. ”About the car you wanted—I said yes. Go ahead and take it. You two have fun, I’m just going to check on my office.”

”Oh.”

Xino watched her brother’s retreating back with suspicion, then turned to Yan Can. ”Do you really think he just ran into something?”

’Bullshit. One look and you can tell he was punched.’

’No wonder he didn’t dare go to the office and came to hide out at his bar instead.’

But he couldn’t say that out loud.

”If your brother says he ran into something, then he must have run into something.”

Yan Can lied through his teeth. ”We should just drop it. Anyway, let’s get back to planning your trip.”
