This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Lu Guangying adopted an air of knowing it all. ”President Du is a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, and they are general practitioners. Besides, our new dean has won awards and has provincial-level research projects, so you can rest assured.”

Qiu Pingzhen looked troubled. ”Isn’t that inappropriate? Director Gao isn’t here right now, and this Cui Ying is a notorious shrew in our hospital. Calling President Du over now would just make everyone feel awkward.”

Lu Guangying looked earnestly at Qiu Pingzhen. ”Old Qiu, when problems arise, we need to solve them. Hiding them isn’t a solution and isn’t conducive to the hospital’s development.”

Hearing Lu Guangying’s words, Qiu Pingzhen feigned a sigh. ”You’re the leader, so I must be right to listen to you. I’ll go find President Du now.”

What does he mean, listening to me is absolutely correct?

Lu Guangying was a bit dumbfounded and quickly tried to stop Qiu Pingzhen, but this time he paid her no heed and walked away quickly.

That scheming woman wants to use me as her tool. In her dreams!

As soon as he stepped outside, Qiu Pingzhen sneered and headed straight upstairs to Du Heng’s office.

Meanwhile, the Gynecology Department consultation room was in an uproar, with all sorts of curses and insults flying through the air.

When Du Heng arrived outside the consultation room, he almost thought he was in the wrong place. This didn’t look like a hospital consultation room at all; even at the edge of Duke Village, such a raucous scene was rare.

The words being exchanged were too awful for Du Heng to bear repeating. His expression darkened as he followed Qiu Pingzhen and quickly entered the consultation room.

Upon entering, Du Heng was surprised to find that in this war of words, a doctor from his own hospital actually had the upper hand. And judging by her momentum, she was single-handedly overpowering the two young women opposite her.

”Where’s your supervisor? I want to file a complaint against you! You don’t deserve to be a doctor!”

”Go ahead and complain, complain to whoever you want! No matter who comes, I can tell them I’m in the right. You’re the one who’s careless with her health, not taking the medicine I prescribed, and now things down there are a mess. And you dare to come and blame me? Dream on!”

Seeing the woman in the white gown about to continue, Qiu Pingzhen’s face also darkened, and he yelled, ”What do you think you’re doing? Shut up!”

His rebuke momentarily silenced the arguing pair. But the silence lasted for only two seconds before they both turned on Qiu Pingzhen.

Du Heng felt as if he couldn’t catch his breath, and he began to deeply question the work plan he had just been drafting.

The consultation room was packed with people, yet there wasn’t a single male figure in sight. Looking at the gloating faces of the female doctors present, he suddenly felt that he might really not be cut out to work here.

Seeing Qiu Pingzhen dilly-dallying and not handling the situation, Du Heng glanced around at the people in the room and said softly, ”Everyone, please step out and get back to your work.”

However, as his words fell, no one around moved an inch, maintaining their previous attitudes. Some even interjected a few words now and then, showing Du Heng no deference whatsoever.

”Director Qiu,” Du Heng’s voice turned cold.

Qiu Pingzhen, standing between the two women, quickly replied, ”Dean.”

Du Heng swept another cold gaze around the room. ”Write down the names of everyone present. Are you all so idle that you’d rather stand around watching a spectacle?”

SWISH.

The women, who had initially dismissed Du Heng, vanished in an instant, ducking into their respective offices once they realized he was serious.

”You’re the Dean, right? I want to complain about her!”

”Complain? You want to complain about me? You didn’t follow the medical advice for your treatment, and now you’re blaming me? Have you no shame?”

Hearing the words of a doctor from his own hospital, Du Heng became genuinely angry.

In the past at Central Lake, he would have defended his medical staff, but only when patients were being unreasonable or deliberately causing trouble.

But for someone as foul-mouthed and shamelessly abusive as this, Du Heng wouldn’t dream of defending her. In fact, he felt like slapping her across the face a couple of times himself.

”Shut up!” Du Heng snapped in a low, stern voice, unable to bear the woman’s incessant tirade. ”What’s your name?”

The female doctor was taken aback but still replied, ”My name is Cui Ying. Dean, let me tell you...”

Du Heng frowned. ”Apologize to this patient first.”

”On what grounds?” Cui Ying’s eyes widened. This had never happened before.

In the past, when such incidents occurred, Qiu Pingzhen would typically separate her and the patient, then dismiss the matter with a few perfunctory remarks. Apologizing to a patient was unheard of.

”On the grounds that you are a doctor, not a shrew! Listen to what you were just saying. Does that sound like something an educated person, a doctor, should say? Apologize to the patient.”

Du Heng fixed Cui Ying with an icy gaze. Beside them, the patient and her companion, who had been highly agitated, finally quieted down.

”This isn’t my fault. I won’t apologize.”

So damn stubborn, and truly a terrible teammate.

Du Heng turned to Qiu Pingzhen. ”Notify Director Gao to suspend Dr. Cui Ying from all duties immediately.”

Before Qiu Pingzhen could even reply, Cui Ying shot up as if her tail had been stepped on. ”Du! Who do you think you are? You want to suspend my work? Do you even have the authority?”

Du Heng touched his nose. He had no desire to argue with this shrew; whether he won or lost the argument, it would still be a loss for him.
