The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 146: Chapter 145: Our Princess Consort Has Nothing But Virtues, Not a Single Flaw?

Feng Qing not only personally cooked the porridge, but also fed Rong Ling with her own hands, diligently attentive from start to finish.

As Rong Ling ate, he mocked her.

”I remember the Princess Consort once said she didn’t know how to serve people. Has she learned now?”

Feng Qing smiled warmly and sunlit: ”For the Prince, this concubine is working hard to learn, hoping the Prince gives me a chance.”

Feng Qing spoke earnestly, pleading with remorse: ”Prince, this concubine has made two mistakes in a row, so I plan to redeem myself by serving you well in the coming days, and will surely help you recover soon.”

She showed all eight teeth in a grin: ”Will the Prince give me a chance?”

Rong Ling squinted at her, seeing through her manipulative ways, knowing she became overly attentive as soon as he intended to punish her. Why wasn’t she so diligent and careful earlier?

Rong Ling thought with a sneer, his phoenix eyes sharp as blades.

Feng Qing shivered at his gaze, realizing she wouldn’t get off lightly. What kind of punishment did he have in mind for her?

As Feng Qing pondered, she motivated herself: ”Prince, I plan to add massage to your existing treatment plan; this way, your body will recover faster.”

As Feng Qing finished speaking, Rong Ling’s brows furrowed, staring at her coldly: ”Then why wasn’t it included originally?”

Feng Qing’s lips twitched; originally, it was left out because she didn’t want to get closer to him, and others didn’t know this technique. Now, to redeem herself, she’d add the massage.

But she certainly didn’t want to anger him further, so she replied earnestly: ”Originally, the Prince’s body was too weak to handle so many treatments. Now it’s somewhat better, so they can be added.”

She finished speaking, smiling serenely at Rong Ling: ”Prince, how about a massage, then a walk outside to bask in the sun? It’ll help you recover.”

Rong Ling raised an eyebrow, eying her as he spoke slowly: ”Then let’s do the massage.”

Feng Qing helped Rong Ling lie on the bed, cautiously saying: ”Prince, seeing how hard I am trying, could my earlier mistakes be...?”

Before Feng Qing could finish, Rong Ling snorted dismissively: ”You’re quite the dreamer. Originally, I planned to give you thirty strikes, but given your efforts, I suppose I should be lenient. Fine, reduced to twenty strikes.”

Feng Qing’s face twitched, thinking thirty strikes would ruin her rear, and how much difference was there really between thirty and twenty?

The more Feng Qing thought, the more her butt seemed to hurt, exclaiming: ”Prince.”

Hearing her exclamation, Rong Ling said leisurely: ”Alright, since you did save my life, let’s just do ten strikes for you to remember this.”

Feng Qing sighed in relief, but thinking of the ten strikes still felt very painful.

Feng Qing spoke again: ”Prince, if you have me struck ten times, I surely won’t get up. Who will serve you then?”

Rong Ling spoke blandly: ”I don’t lack people to serve me. Even when you didn’t serve me, wasn’t I just fine?”

Feng Qing’s face turned, looking at Rong Ling pitifully: ”Prince, if I’m beaten, who will give you acupuncture, who will massage you, who will keep vigil at night, who will cook porridge for you, who will feed you porridge?”

By the end, she enumerated her merits one by one, and Rong Ling, seeing her pitiful and aggrieved demeanor, couldn’t help but smile through his anger.

”It seems our Princess Consort is full of virtues, without a single flaw.”
