The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 134: Chapter 133: Quietly Watching the Drama

As soon as Rong Ling woke up, he had Nan Xuan call Feng Qing in, and then he just stared coldly at Feng Qing without saying a word, only speaking up after a long while with a chilling voice.

”Is this your attitude as a wife, unable to even serve your husband properly?”

Every time Feng Qing thought about his words on wanting a reward - that they would consummate when he recovered - she couldn’t help but scoff. Did he think she was that eager for it, like it was some grand favor?

She wouldn’t accept it, and she had no intention of staying at Prince Yong Mansion. She would leave eventually; right now, she was only afraid that if he died, it would cause her trouble, that’s all.

While thinking, Feng Qing slowly replied, ”Prince knows I don’t serve people well, yet you still want me to serve you. Isn’t that asking for the impossible? From now on, let others serve you. It’s not like I’m the only woman in the Prince Mansion. Not to mention, a great beauty was just brought in today.”

As soon as Feng Qing finished her statement, the man on the bed suddenly laughed softly and elegantly; the chill in the room dispersed with his smile, lighting up the room.

”So, you’re jealous?”

Feng Qing looked at the man lying on the bed with shock. How did his brain work to come to the conclusion that she was jealous?

Rong Ling looked at her with helplessness and said, ”You really don’t know how to respect your identity. She’s just a concubine; she can’t compare to you at all. Comparing yourself with her only lowers your status.”

Hearing Rong Ling’s words didn’t make Feng Qing happy; instead, she felt a sense of sadness for the women of this era. Even a beauty like Princess Guangling could be underestimated, highlighting the particularly low status of women at that time.

Even if she was Rong Ling’s main wife, she would probably fade into obscurity within the household; she didn’t want to become such a person.

Feng Qing fell silent, her eyes darkening. The sick Rong Ling saw her expression, assumed she was unhappy, and rarely spoke softly to comfort her.

”Alright, don’t be upset. I have my uses for her; don’t worry about her.”

Feng Qing instinctively wanted to roll her eyes, but before she could, a commotion erupted outside Yijing Courtyard.

Rong Ling’s expression slightly cooled as he turned to look outside and said, ”What’s going on?”

Nan Xuan came in from outside and quickly reported, ”Prince, it’s the newly entered Han Concubine; she’s clamoring to see you.”

Rong Ling thought for a moment, then waved his hand, ”Bring her in.”

Feng Qing turned and sat boldly on the soft couch in the room, waiting for the scene to unfold.

Rong Ling glanced at her, seeing her calm demeanor, felt a small sense of relief. To be honest, compared to other women, he was more willing to favor Feng Qing a bit more; after all, she was different from the others—she was his lifesaver.

Outside, footsteps soon sounded, and Nan Xuan brought Han Ziyan in. Han Ziyan wore a peach-colored long skirt adorned with pearls today, highlighting her unparalleled beauty even more.

Unfortunately, at this moment, her eyes were slightly red, and she looked extraordinarily aggrieved.

If it were someone else, they might pull her into their arms to comfort her. Unfortunately, she was facing Rong Ling.

Rong Ling, a person harsh on himself, had no pity for others. He looked at Han Ziyan coldly and said, ”What are you making a fuss about? Do you want to cause my death seeing that I haven’t died yet?”

Hearing Rong Ling’s words, Han Ziyan’s face instantly paled slightly; she shook her head, sobbing, ”No, that’s not what I mean.”

As she finished speaking, tears started falling again, and she looked even more wronged.
