The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 105: Chapter 104: The Ambiguous Mistress

Feng Qing finished speaking, and Nan Xuan got up and went out. Feng Qing couldn’t be bothered to spare him another look, as she picked up a piece of pork knuckle and began to gnaw on it. Cooked to perfection, it’s tender and soft, truly delicious.

A thud sounded outside, causing the pork knuckle she was gnawing to fall.

Feng Qing’s expression immediately soured, and she glared toward the door. Si Qi hurried outside to take a look, then ran back to report, ”Princess Consort, Nan Xuan Guard is kneeling outside the door.”

Feng Qing, furious, snapped, ”Let him get lost, and if he’s going to kneel, have him kneel further away, not right outside my door.”

Feng Qing’s words weren’t softly spoken, and naturally, Nan Xuan outside heard them. He decisively got up and walked further away, then knelt down in the courtyard.

Si Qi went out to check again, returning to report, ”Nan Xuan Guard has kneeled in the courtyard.”

Feng Qing was speechless, thinking this was a standoff with her: ”Let him kneel, I want to see how long he can keep it up. Hmph.”

Having said that, she resumed her dinner, and one must admit, the dishes from the small kitchen were indeed quite good.

Feng Qing thought about how she would soon be leaving the Regent Prince Mansion, such a great chef within the mansion was a rarity, she should eat more before she departs.

Once roaming the world, enjoying such cuisine won’t be easy.

”By the way, Si Qi, you mentioned Nan Feng Guard said that I can have my meals cooked by the small kitchen in the future.”

”Yes, Princess Consort.”

Feng Qing’s expression improved, as she reached for a bowl of chicken skin and seaweed soup, fresh and delightful. After eating and drinking to her fill, her mood improved significantly.

Lazily, Feng Qing glanced at Si Hua and said, ”What’s the current situation with your Prince?”

Si Hua stepped forward and reported, ”It’s said he took medicine earlier and is feeling much better.” ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Feng Qing nodded, recalling an important matter: ”By the way, he’s still in the room I previously occupied.”

Since he’s better, why hasn’t he moved back to his previous courtyard? Staying in her room is inconvenient, as she has to stay cramped in the East Wing.

However, Si Hua quickly said, ”The Prince is still frail and hasn’t been relocated yet.”

Feng Qing also knew the dominance of Furong Drunk, and although Rong Ling took the antidote, the poison wasn’t completely neutralized. Thus, it’s normal for him to remain quite frail for now.

Considering the delectable food, she’ll let him have the room.

Feng Qing waved her hand grandly and said, ”Then let him stay for a couple of days.”

Though she allowed Rong Ling to keep the room, Feng Qing hadn’t gone to see Rong Ling from start to finish. Instead, Consort Song and others, upon hearing about the Prince being poisoned, rushed to Purple Bamboo Pavilion to visit Rong Ling.

Unfortunately, Rong Ling didn’t see any of them, but when Nanny Luo came to visit, Rong Ling granted her an audience.

Nanny Luo noticed Feng Qing wasn’t by Rong Ling’s side and spoke with a displeased expression.

”The Prince is in this state, yet the Princess Consort hasn’t come to attend to him. What does this look like?”

Having said that, Nanny Luo glanced toward Nan Feng inside the room, saying, ”Go, bring the Princess Consort here.”

Nan Feng glanced at Rong Ling, noticing he showed no signs of halting her request, thus promptly headed to the East Wing to fetch the Princess Consort.

”Princess Consort, Nanny Luo has arrived and asks for you to come and care for the Prince.”

Feng Qing had nearly forgotten about Nanny Luo, and upon suddenly hearing her mention, she recalled that the Regent Prince Mansion housed an unusual figure like her.

Her tone felt rather like a meddling mother-in-law.

Yet, as the Prince’s nanny, Feng Qing thought it inappropriate to embarrass her further, so she took Si Qi and Si Hua along, following Nan Feng to her previously occupied room.
