The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 138: Chapter 137: Angry After a Few Words

The air in the room grew even colder, and Rong Ling’s expression became increasingly grim. He sneered, ”Oh, he is indeed loyal to his master behind the scenes. Forget it, we can’t avoid those puppet masters. Throw him into the mass grave, and besides him, check if there are any other hidden pieces in the Prince Mansion. Find out everything and eliminate them all.”

”I’ll take care of this matter, don’t worry, Your Highness,” Nan Feng said, and Rong Ling added, ”Call back Nan Sheng to manage the Prince Mansion. From now on, he will be responsible for all affairs within the Prince Mansion.”

”Very well, I will attend to it immediately, Your Highness.”

Nan Feng turned and walked out, and behind him, Feng Qing followed quietly, trying to leave as well.

But she had only taken two steps when Rong Ling spoke behind her, ”Didn’t the Princess Consort say she wanted to attend to me during my medicinal bath?”

As Rong Ling finished speaking, Nan Feng, who had reached the door, stopped in astonishment and turned to look at Rong Ling in the room. For years, the Prince had never allowed women near him, wary of ill-intentioned ones trying to climb into his bed. To everyone’s surprise, he now allowed the Princess Consort to attend to his bath, indicating he truly recognized her as the mistress of the Prince Mansion.

Nan Feng felt somewhat relieved, thinking that the future of the Prince Yong Mansion would only get better.

Feng Qing’s face turned red in an instant, but fortunately, she had a spider on her face, and her complexion wasn’t very fair, so it wasn’t obvious when she blushed.

Even if others couldn’t see it, she felt her cheeks burning fiercely. What did he mean by saying she wanted to attend to his medicinal bath, as if she had some improper intentions?

Feng Qing’s expression soured as she turned back to glare at Rong Ling and said, ”Your Highness, don’t make things up. When did I say I wanted to attend to your medicinal bath?”

Rong Ling raised an eyebrow and calmly reminded her, ”Earlier you told me to prepare a medicinal bath for me. Did I misunderstand?”

Upon hearing Rong Ling’s words, Feng Qing gritted her teeth speechlessly, ”I meant for someone else to attend to your medicinal bath, not that I wished to do it myself.”

Feng Qing’s words caused Rong Ling to feel slightly displeased, and his tone turned a bit cold.

”As my Princess Consort, attending to me is nothing less than what is proper.”

The atmosphere in the room grew colder after his words, and Nan Feng quickly interjected, ”Princess Consort, please provide a list of herbs for the medicinal bath and I’ll prepare them. As for attending to His Highness, that responsibility falls to you.”

Feng Qing looked at Nan Feng, then turned to Rong Ling, finding the man on the bed closing his eyes for rest.

Though he had shut his eyes and stopped speaking, Feng Qing noticed his breathing was slightly hurried, with beads of sweat faintly appearing on his face.

It seemed that even this brief conversation had tired him out.

Thinking of his weakness, Feng Qing ultimately refrained from saying more. She huffed, then stepped out to prepare the herbs, instructing Nan Feng to take them for boiling. Once ready, they were poured into the bathing tub with water for Rong Ling to soak in.

Nan Feng followed the orders, and Feng Qing returned to the room, feigning a yawn as she addressed Rong Ling on the bed, ”Your Highness, I’m sleepy, I’m going to rest first. Let Nan Feng attend to your bath.”

On the bed, Rong Ling slowly opened his eyes, which were as deep as the sea, and his lips gradually formed a faintly amused smile.

”So, you get angry when I speak a few words to you? Refusing to attend me in my bath out of anger? Your temper is indeed growing day by day.”

Feng Qing felt a bit frustrated, raising her brow and glaring at him, ”Who got angry out of embarrassment? I never intended to attend to Your Highness...”
