The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 118: Chapter 117: Medicine as Fierce as Tigers and Wolves

After Feng Qing finished speaking, Rong Ling, who was lying on the bed, did not dwell on the topic. He looked at Feng Qing’s neck with clear eyes.

”The injury on your neck?”

Feng Qing’s heart tightened, but her expression remained unchanged. She spoke casually, ”I was strangled by a severely injured assassin who was on the brink of death. It’s nothing.”

Rong Ling didn’t have the energy to think more about this matter; he had other things to do now.

”I want to go to the Jinluan Palace, do you have a way?”

After Rong Ling finished speaking, Feng Qing’s expression changed subtly, while Nan Feng and Nan Xuan turned visibly pale: ”Prince, your health.”

A person who was almost dead should be resting in bed, even if it means recuperating for a while. But the Prince actually wants to go to the Jinluan Palace; is he tired of living too long?

However, Rong Ling ignored his subordinates and continued to stare at Feng Qing: ”You should have a way.”

Feng Qing’s expression was extremely unpleasant. She hadn’t slept all night and had worked hard to save him, and now what is he trying to do?

Feng Qing really didn’t want to pay attention to him, but the determination in his eyes seemed as if he wouldn’t be satisfied unless she agreed.

Looking into his eyes, Feng Qing knew he must have his reasons for doing this. Finally, she gritted her teeth and said, ”Are you sure you want to do this? If you want to go to the Jinluan Palace, you must drink a bowl of potent medicine again. But in your current condition, it’s not suitable to forcefully use such strong restorative medicine.”

”Such potent medicine is like poison to you now. Once its effects wear off, your body will become even weaker.”

Feng Qing explained the risks to him, but Rong Ling just smiled gently. His smile was like a thousand pear blossoms blooming, the epitome of grace and elegance.

Feng Qing thought of what he had done and endured, and she softened for once.

”If you are sure you truly want to do this, I will go make a bowl of potent medicine for you.”

After saying this, Feng Qing got up and walked out, while Nan Feng and Nan Xuan continued to persuade him: ”Prince, let us handle whatever you need, don’t go yourself.”

Rong Ling’s calm voice sounded: ”Alright, prepare the carriage to enter the palace, I want to go to the Jinluan Palace.”

Nan Feng and Nan Xuan knew their Prince was firm in his decision; once he had spoken, there was no room for argument. They could only comply.

Feng Qing quickly prepared a bowl of medicine and helped Rong Ling drink it. After about the time it takes a stick of incense to burn, Rong Ling felt his spirits lift considerably and he spoke much more fluently.

He gestured to Nan Feng in the room: ”Help me into the carriage.”

As Nan Feng went forward to assist him, he turned to look at Feng Qing: ”Princess Consort should accompany the Prince to the palace.”

Feng Qing didn’t want to go, but she turned to look at Rong Ling’s sickly body and wearily raised her hand to pinch her brow: ”Alright.”

At least she had saved a life, she might as well see it through to the end.

Rong Ling didn’t object to her words, and the group boarded the carriage from the Regent Prince Mansion and headed to the palace.

On the way, they vaguely heard many people discussing the assassination at the Regent Prince Mansion last night. Such a big event couldn’t be covered up, and the people at the mansion didn’t intend to cover it up either.

”Heavens, who couldn’t stand the Prince Regent and dared to take such ruthless action, first poisoning, then sending assassins to kill him?”

”The Prince Regent is truly pitiable, after so many years of helping the Emperor and the Empress Dowager manage the court, who would have thought he would be treated this way in the end.”

”Who is so malicious to treat him like this.”

The carriage entered the palace smoothly, heading straight for the Jinluan Palace.

In the square before the Jinluan Palace, ministers on their way to court were chatting in groups about the events at the Regent Prince Mansion last night.

”Who do you think dared to do this to the Prince Regent?”

”Who knows, many people are dissatisfied with the Prince, maybe it’s one of his enemies.”

”Heh.”
